Shady one of those blacks that hate white people 😂 How is Love more deserving than Lawrence lol They on the same tier
Nothing about QB salaries has anything to do with “deserves” anymore. It’s about supply & demand. It’s a QB driven league.
I think that's what theyre missing and don't understand. These qbs know some desperate team will overpay them just to be relevant
They can't seem to grasp that simple concept.
@@speedy9313-rv1dmthey understand. They explained that in the Tua contract video. They just don't like it and want it to stop
@@thesockphenomthey understand. They just don't like it
TJ Houshmandzadeh, when the bubble bust on your face...
man Shady is absolutely obsessed with Baker Mayfield, the man signed on a contract for less money than Daniel Jones, his contract is about 60% of the 'elite' QBs setting the market. I think he's been quite realistic about where he sits in the QB hierarchy, and his average salary per year is around 20th in the QB ladder
Agree, Baker's contract is the most realistic in the league at this time. He's shown flashes but he's also shown flaws, just like every other QB out there.
Baker is HORRIBLE
THANK YOU. He talks like baker mayfield reset the market & nobody ever calls him out on it!
Facts. Baker earned his contract man. Was done dirty by the Browns and still found a way to get paid. Shady acts like he's getting paid top of the market. Baker's contract is a STEAL
These guys love to bash white guys. They constantly do it. Baker, purdy, Trevor etc
Nahhhhhhh they over paying these dudes
Yeeee
Someone gone get overpaid regardless mines well b Someone on the field
I agree!
Packers fan here. I’ve watched every game and every throw that this man has made. it started out dismal. But every time he got a little bit better. Every single time he got better. I honestly haven’t seen him regress. So I think timing is a big thing as well.
Shady always talk about Lawrence playing with elite talent in college but never has the same energy for Joe Burrow who literally has his #1 receiver on his team plus Higgins & also mixon but he doesn’t have smoke for them on that
Shady always hating on Trevor Lawrence
Yep and Baker like i hate this mf
It’s deserved Lawrence is the most overrated and overhyped QB in the league up there with Jordan Love
@@Pursue.HappinessDAK CRAPSCOTT is the most over-rated
“To think a guy can have one good year and get to be the highest paid” but be fine with hurts getting paid after one good year
A super bowl appearance is a little better than divisional round of the playoffs though
@@ADUSN Super bowl appearance where he beat Daniel Jones and a QB-less 49ers. Both of which he put up under 200 yards in as his defense held both teams to 7 points.
Well he went to a SB not choke against SF
Bro, Hurts has been a starter for 3 years and been to the playoffs all three years. I dont get the Jalen hate but man, you guys have worse concussions than football players man. Are u serious? Maybe, all you ever saw was Jalen playing in 2022. And that is all you've seen and u formulated a opinion and that's that.
Hahaha. Let's see...a Purdy prayer..which was a terrible pass btw...and a great catch ny Aiyuk. If NOT for that play, Whiners woukd have been sent home. Let's not forget how oers struggled to score against the same exact defense Eagles lut uo 35 on. Turdy with a wonderful 1 TD game. Wow..
It would be worth mentioning that Packers actually can afford to pay Love. Packers do not need to spend money on an elite TE or WR for Love to succeed. Love proved that he can play with basically anyone at wide receiver/TE position (Reed, Wicks, Bo Melton, Kraft). He doesn’t need Travis Kelse, Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, or Cedee Lamb on the team. Love spreads the ball around a lot and Packers can build the team with cheap WR’s on rookie contracts for the foreseeable future.
Remember when Joy said a man should reimburse a woman for paying for a date even though he paid for the first two?
irrevelant to the topic keep attention seeking little one
She’s annoying.
Joy isn’t the sharpest tool in the toolbox
And the sad thing is we know she is not the only woman who thinks like that.. And the worst part there will always be some guys who will do that and even more !! 🤦🏾♂️
And that is why the modern woman like herself is single, because men are waking up.
This will change when 1 of 2 things happens:
1) The science of finding and developing a great QB gets really good- where you fewer gambles and many more sure things.
2) Teams realize that there is a number or percentage of their cap that a single player just cannot take up, this will happen if the cap does not continue to rise.
Otherwise, with the number of QB failures and the difficulty of finding competent QB play or a franchise 10 year starter- you literally CANNOT overpay.
Shady needs to wrap his head around the fact that it’s a qb driven league. It’s the most “important” position that touches the ball every single play on offense.
Certain teams HAVE to pay their franchise QB. Period. These teams have young, talented QBS,that they HAVE to pay....or lose them entirely. You really can't blame them. But some people just don't understand what is at stake here. Windows open then close.
What window is open in this situation?
They put themselves in a situation where it’s next man up if teams said to average QBs no where not paying you elite money and you’re not going to be the highest paid player in football, they wouldn’t have this issue. If a good QB got 40 Million their still the highest paid on the team, only the elites should reset the market
@@night_wolf6621 this works in theory the problem is majority of the time if you offer a good QB this and they decline the team will be forced to franchise them and once that QB becomes a free agent, due to supply and demand, there will be multiple teams bidding for them which drives up their worth. You're not paying them based on talent alone.
@@marklumar2034 We seen a massive pay change before, Rookies got paid more than HoF players, when Sam Bradford signed his rookie contract, it was the biggest contract ever now you don’t see that. If teams decided not to pay a good QB elite money there is nothing the QB could do about it. Teams can go you’ll be the highest paid on the team, pay you accordingly with the other QBs but since you’re not elite you’re not resetting the market, the problem would be fixed
@night_wolf6621 but again that only works of literally no other teams are willing to pay them. Dak is a great example because if the cowboys decide not to pay him what he wants there will be multiple teams bidding for him
In one year LOVE eclipsed every bears qb for 110 years.
TIL now
Love beat some average teams last year. You all in Wisconsin are in PANIC MODE. Looks good on ya.
@@MisterMxyzptlk1972insane take lol
Arguably not that hard to do. Speaks to the difference in organizations
@@timmewolff and yet you only won 2 superbowls with 32 years of elite quarterback play smh
I might have to give up these qb videos from speak. They say the same thing every time and everytime it’s the same answer. It’s a qb driven league, if you don’t have one you have no chance, it’s literally that simple. It’s not about deserve, otherwise nobody would make more than Mahomes, it’s about leverage and being free to hit the market. If you can’t understand that basic part of it then nobody can help you
Facts 💯💯💯
I'm glad they talking about it. We ain't just about to act like we don't notice that.
@@hinata365247Why complain about it, when you said and know “It’s a quarterback driven league”?
@@user-lt1fx2he5sbecause Jordan love is the highest paid. He will be talked about more than any qb this season. If these QBs gets money like they elite QBs than they get the talk about them and criticize them. We not just going to look the other way and not notice that. We want them to do something about it. It's getting out of hand.
Why do people argue about why other positions aren't paid equally to quarterbacks? Quarterbacks are in a unique position where they have to make decisions on every play, handle the ball every time, call plays, pass accurately, hand off the ball, manage the clock and much more. Comparing other positions to quarterback is not fair; for example, a receiver may not catch a single pass in a whole game, a running back might only gain 20 yards, and a kicker could miss every field goal attempt. However, a quarterback cannot afford to have such poor performance, and if they do, their team has little chance of succeeding. Maybe the market is too high, but it's not a fair comparison, not even close.
Does Shady Know we Paid Kenny Clark last week lmfao
Before Jordan too lol
No, he don't know because he not good at his job and he just be yappin
It's not about deserve. It's about if the QB is good enough to get paid. The answer is clearly yes. Love played like an elite QB the 2nd half of the season. He showed Prime Aaron Rodgers-type flashes when he got going. It's a no-brainer smart move by GB. They got themselves another one. From Favre to Rodgers to J Love
Usually don't agree with shady but he's definitely right. Why have accolades if they're not based off of incentives?
Media mad that sub par qbs are getting paid top dollar when they pushed for Dak to be the highest paid a few years ago when he wasn't even that good yet. They got what they wanted, now they're mad. I'm not a Baker fan but why does shady keep complaining about Baker? He got 35 mil a year, that's about half of what the top guy will be making next year. It's a steal at this point.
That's was Dallas fault
Baker is trash that’s why and he doesn’t deserve that. Ima Niner fan and if Purdy balls out again NFC championship or SB win how he doesn’t deserve a super raise? It’s QBs who haven’t done what he has. That’s when QBs are supposed to get the bag when they do what the others aren’t capable of
@CLS_7301 dude, I don't like Baker much but 35 is not a lot so it makes sense. It's nothing to complain about. It's a steal.
They're trying to argue for other positions, but they can't answer that the one who gives a team the best chance to win is the QB. That's why they get paid first, no other position will get that. When they mentioned Josh Jacobs/Saquon Barkley, they are RBs. I'm sorry, but a RB will never get paid before a QB. They're important, but replaceable.
Their argument is essentially, you cannot pay these QBs. Their solution? Let them walk into FA for FREE and hope you draft a Tom Brady in the draft. You're not getting a $40M a year QB anymore, that's in the past.
Had to bring up Dak 😂😂
I havent watched it yet but i bet i can tell you what Mccoy is going to say word for word
😂😂😂
You don't understand contracts if you think Pat is making 45m annually... Hes getting front loaded on his contract and will resigned before his last 2 years of that 500m contract and make 460m in 8 years. 👍
This is why Im ok with Jerry not signing dak you can't pay any player 30% of the salary cap 😂😂
Nah as a Giants fan, I need Jerry to pay Dak a max contract extension
It is baffling to me how literally everyone doesn’t mention at all the fact that Love single handed threw the game in the playoffs last year against the Niners. If it were Purdy we’d never hear the end of it
So he did exactly what Rodgers did in the playoffs the last time he was there? Yep pay that man, I wished the 9ers would pay Purdy that much too so he’d have less weapons
No football player should be getting any money like this. This is insane to play sports and they’re complaining about money is sad. What about us people getting up 4 AM for work or 3 AM at 25 bucks an hour? Don’t we deserve more.
Same conversation every day. Good grief SPEAK. Find another topic
Personally I like it. I wanna hear what they think bout the contract
@@DB-cg4vs I like their insight and knowledge on the topic, it's just that it's the exact same discussion with the same thoughts every single day.
I mean they got to talk about it.
Not their fault Jordan Love was paid shortly after Tua.
QB is so much more important than every other position on the field, like it’s really not close. There’s no other position in any other sport in the world that’s as essential to their team. QBs absolutely deserve the money they get, especially with the salary cap increasing
It’s the most important position on the field and not easily filled. When you find your guy you pay him, plain and simple
This list is absolutely disgusting...only 5 have been to the conference championship game, only 3 have done it multiple times...and we haven't even talked about consistent playoff appearance wins
Bruh there is no way I just heard the smoke detector going off 😭😭😭 the only black show on sports tv and they doin this cmon
None of them deserve the pay cause nobody has won anything
Only one team will win every year but every team or most teams still have to be competitive. And keep in mind a lot of other players make top dollar at their position and haven’t won anything either. For example WRs. Out of the top 10 how many have won anything? 1? Yet they all still produce stats which helps with wins and sales.
I guess QB's are getting paid to compensate for all the pressure they go through. If they winning, it's their effort that got them their. If they loosing, it's their fault. It's not frequent that a teams loses are blamed on Special teams, defense or individuals other than QB. I do agree, QB's are getting paid way too much. Somebody needs to drop their salary and give it to the others on the team
I heard that the Packers made adjustments in the offensive scheme to Jordan's strength rather than asking him to adjust in the middle of the season. That's the time he started and showed how well he could be leading the team. Was it true?
Highest wr gets $30M/yr
Highest qb gets $55/wr
Whats problem?
Other positions will get paid more
Pretty sure when the league started qbs were getting twice as much as wr or more
Loves contract is not based on just 1 year. WE have seen him for a year. They have been with him for 4 every day. All he had to do is prove it on the biggest stage
Jimmy G did this, he played 6 games for SF and became the highest paid QB. So I'm not surprised tbh.
And look how that turned out
16:26 Joy, who were you pointing out right there? 😂
The QBs getting this crazy money is the same reason why every year the MVP goes to a QB every year
Old players hating on the new money … shady really weird
Deshaun Watson is truly the highest paid. He got 275 fully fully guaranteed. Injuries , being cut , just like an NBA contract he gone see every dime of that
this is the problem with former athletes. they really cant be objective with comments of get that bag.....
TLAWs contract doesn't even start for 2 years. I hate how they don't talk about that.
Shady just went Super Saiyan on boys ⚡️🔥⚡️🔥 😭
People that say the salary cap isn't real are like flat earthers... Say a lot of words, without giving 1 fact to their argument.
QBs bring in more fans, Nationally televised games and revenue than these other positions. That makes them way more valuable and they should make way more money
You ask the same question every year! And every year, the going rate for a quarterback goes up! It's the going rate, and it will continue to go up! This is the new reality for the NFL teams!
I see the steelers breaking this "pattern". I mean paying the qb what he is worth not what the market says...
Shady HATES Baker, but Baker truly earned his money. He's not even close to the highest paid in football. Baker went to the Browns (worst franchise in the league) and won a playoff game. Got shipped off because they wanted Watson, ended up in Tampa, and beat the Eagles in the playoffs. He has two playoff victories as an underdog. More than Herbert, Trevor, Tua, Kirk...Baker is only getting 40 mil per year. Thats a STEAL. Shady just wants to hate on Baker for no reason
Love has no elite wide out. And he got them very far. I think he's worthy. Trever is money, and has no real number one too
Everyone forgets they work for the NFL. You're just an employee. If NFL wants to highly pay QB its their money. But if their investments dont work out, NFL has to deal with.
I agree it's both for Jordan. Does he deserve to be paid, yes. But holding out when you've only had one full season as a starter and it was a 9-8 season with one playoff win vs Burrow, Allen, Maholmes, etc who have been doing so for years doesn't make sense.
Maybe if he'd been the starter for 2-3 years then maybe argue for the contract, but not after just one.
Josh Allen is living off the legacy of losing to Mahomes in the AFC championship game, THREE YEARS AGO.
Forget losing at home as favorites in the playoffs multiple seasons after that. He's great, but I see why some people say he's overrated. Imagine he had two MVPs. He'd be looked at like Jesus
At least he played a year, guys like Rob Johnson had one good game with Jacksonville and got 25 million contract with the Bills.
Well I have no problem with it because it’s not like the nfl itself is handing out these contracts it’s the teams. So however the team values you is how you’ll get paid. And for love in this instance he’s had equal or more success in that one season than some of the qb’s that have received large contracts already
easier to find a great WR and RB in the draft than finding that QB. The QB is the foundation of a franchise and if you find one, pretty sure there are 5-6 others teams who will pounce on it if you don't pay up.
Why don’t the owners ban together and figure out a solution to stop over paying average -good QBs. It’s not fair because the rule changes have allowed QBs to rack up yards and on the surface it appears like they are elite .
This all they talk about is quarterbacks getting paid.
Speak cast is horrible imo on speaking on any topic. They just have such braindead takes. Maybe except for James. But this is a GB video so he tends to glaze there too lol.
I agree. There’s no real analysis, just biased opinions.
"maybe except for james" typical gb and dak fans glazing him but keep watching W cast

I guarantee you that GB is gonna ask love to restructure his contract down the line
He didn't out play Dax Prescott, Dallas defense was off, and confessed. Say what's real. How many times did they punted?
This is stupid discussion
Why? If jordan love the highest paid he should get talked about like he the highest paid
@@hinata365247 The topic is does he DESERVE to be the highest paid. Not that he just got paid the highest.
All positions in the NFL excluding the QB are replaceable, even good ones. As mentioned by another commentator, it's all about supply and demand. You don't have a lot of QBs who can play the position compared to players in other positions. In fact you don't even have 32 QBs now who can play. The great QB is a rare breed.
Shady went crazy
As a player in another position, I’d strategically align myself with a quarterback salary to Super Bowl ratio. I don’t think a highest paid an has ever won the Super Bowl because they spread the money around to protect the QB.
Supply and demand
Teams decide if they can replace 80% of a player for half the price
QB the hardest position to do that at.
If Purdy threw two picks in fourth quarter of a playof game to loose the game, we'd never hear the end of it.
Love outplayed Purdy the entire game. Purdy got lucky to not have INT on at least 6 throws, but he was saved due to having experienced receivers & luck. Watch the game again. And had GB's Rookie kicker not crapped the bed, we would have won that game bc JL wouldn't have forced that last INT, which was a rookie mistake. The other INT was a tip INT by our rookie TE.
RB Aaron Jones was the one who messed up that last drive. He was supposed to be available to throw to if the play broke down & unfortunately he completely messed up so JL tried to force it. The good thing is JLove learns from mistakes as evidence in his TD to INT ratio the entire season. (33/11)
What no one mentions here is the fact that JLove threw to 5-6 1st yr rookies w/ only 2- 2nd yr receivers (Watson, mostly injured the entire season & Doubs) & 2 1st year TE's, which if Purdy was the one doing that he would not have the season JLove did, let's be real here. JLove had no experienced WRs & TE's to throw to, which is why it took him 8 games to figure it out, bc the rest of his receiving core had to get better & more consistent. Geesh unless people understand all of what was going on the 1st half of the season, maybe the JL would get less hate.
@DMWB57 Justin Love gets no hate , the media acts like he won the game, that's why I commented
49ers may be the team that says hold on. Unfortunately by the time Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels the price will be pretty high for QB’s
Think about this, there are alot of Purdy doubters because of the Shanahan system and his offensive weapons. Imagine he goes to the SB again and plays decent to great. Would he choose to reset the market because the market is the market or would he take the Brady, Allen, or Mahomes route.
No one deserve anything. Either you are given or earned it.
Value over replacement.
Teams overpay good QBs, because they're so difficult to find. You roll the dice when you let one go.
Shady contradicted hisself in 2 mins says love is better than Trevor than says he shouldn’t be highest paid after one year
They're mad at the wrong people, they're mad at the teams that are doing what they have to do to stay relevant. A team without a QB can spend 10, 15, 20 years in mediocrity. They should be mad at the way the game is officiated now to be so offense oriented. This inflates the value of even a slightly above average QB to crazy heights to where you need to pay them to even have a chance.
Joy with the Dolph intro was amazing. “Get paid Young man get paid” 😂😂
most of these QB does not reserve that much money. Games tickets prices is out of reach for most fans
In the history of the NFL for like a week, it's not like he'll be keeping that title long. It's not that big a deal, Mahones will get a restructuring
I'm a Steelers fan, and for us, it's about the organization (formula) and then the player. Green Bay has a Q.B formula that has been working for decades. Rodgers sat behind Farvea few years to learn the system, reads, defenses, and from Farve. Same thing with Love sitting behind Rodgers. He was a little shaking at the beginning because it's faster than practice and film. Once he settled down, the rest of team did and followed his lead. His numbers were off the charts, and they almost beat the 49ers. They have the youngest team in the NFL, a great Q.B, a solid team at all posistions, and a great organization. I say lock it in for a decade.
Jordan Love: "9-8 with a playoff win, deserves his money." 👑
Baker Mayfield: "9-8 with a playoff win, asinine that he got paid." 🗑️
There's no consistency in this show.
Baker Mayfield is on his 4th team in 6 years
You are saying the Bucs isnt more loaded than the Packers? Why dont you try to give Love guys like Evan, Godwin and find out.
Patrick MaHomes restructured his deal and is getting paid 53.5 a year but they never mention that
The problem with this high salary, teams will to cut salaries in different areas. It will start with the defense, then some players from the offense.
Let’s do a fantasy draft. Let me see how many of these guys start their franchise with Tristen Wirfs over Tua.
the problem about your argument woth the salaries is that these contracts the best QBs have were signed 1, 2, 3 seasons ago when thats where the market was. every single year the cap goes up and the market changes
Shorty really said Jordan love is gonna have a bad year and paying 220 is gonna back fire when next year the prices is gonna go up and QBs get another raise watch what the Packers got for ya next year
All these teams are dumb for overpaying just ok players.
There is not enough “good qb’s” in the league to pay everyone else the same
Did he just say Jordan Love is better than Tua!!!!! This dude just speaks out of pocket all day!!
I need to count how many times does Shady say right in a show right right?😂😂😂
Now they’ve said it all they don’t think Brock is going to go past Jordan😮😂
They didn't do that for Brett, Favre and Rod but they can do that for rookie Jordan love🌺🌺🍀🍀
QB most important position in All Major Sports 🤙🏽 Love well deserved 💰 the others 🤷🏽♂️ I don’t know, Those other QBs have hit their ceiling, J Love has a high Ceiling, best to come🏈🏆
QB salary is the economics of FREE AGENCY. If a player can put himself on the market and go to the team which bids the most for his services, then that is where he is going to go. Shady always throws shade on Trevor Lawrence. 'He is not elite.' Nonetheless, I am quite certain, that if Lawrence hit the open market, multiple teams would be throwing big dollars at him.
Trevor lawrence only been in the league 3 years.
They said Dish is out for that player. If they can afford this quarterback, they should've paid the past quarterbacks, veteran quarterbacks talking about the Packers. How does rookies rate over veterans 🌺🌺🍀🍀
You know, if there wasn't a salary cap, teams would pay their players. But the league makes it to where there's repercussions for not being compliant with this dumb salary cap. How many teams have been penalized for "violating" the salary cap.
These guys need to understand the first rule of economics and supply and demand, you pay top dollar for scarcity
Tua gets paid- “THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!”
Jordan Love gets more money- “well, is it a perfect system? No, but he deserves it”
Yo you didn’t have to say Gino Smith like that…..😂
The worst is when guys have a great game as a backup and some team gives them a big free agent contract! Think Mitchell or Flynn.
Crazy he uses Geno and Baker as an example. They are literally in the same tier as these guys getting monster contracts and they took moderate deals that are fair to what they bring. They are the exception of this crazy QB trend. Geno Smith has been a Pro Bowler the moment he got a chance and is not even top 20 highest paid
So qb market jumped like 10 million in 2 years. While every other position stayed the or decreased like rb market
But who do we blame when a team loses not the WRs or RBs we blame the QB win or lose that’s why they deserve this money more if a QB doesn’t have a good year he could be on another team the next
