Amen....we love and miss you Obama's. I had to watch this twice to soak it in. The first time, I was indifferent about it (and no, neither my ethnicity nor my cultural background had anything to do with that reaction). The second time, I saw Michelle Obama as a former First Lady attempting to paraphrase her memoir without sounding too literary about it. Admittedly, I chose this video as I felt it might have some "writing inspiration" to offer. It didn't, exactly. Yes, some parts of this interview were intriguing to hear. But overall, I wasn't blown away or captivated by Mrs. Obama's words. I mean no disrespect, insult, nor offense to her or what she feels she stands for. Just my opinion. And I ask those reading this comment to respect my views as well. That is all.

Oh my Gosh...Michelle Obama and her husband...so beautiful. I remember watching his, and her's inauguration in 2009 sitting in bed with my new husband and being moved to tears and full of so much hope for the American people, not only because we share such a long border but because we are kin...I truly believed that Barack Obama would heal your nation, I was so full of hope that finally, here was someone for the people, a black American, (I so hate saying that but it's true, only he was in a position to bring your country to it's greatness) and now, the backlash, even though I am Canadian (thank you mum and dad for not emigrating to America) they gave me such hope for believing that Obama and Michelle could hel us all. I miss them so much.
