George is in such great shape at 70 and he is still just as creative and aggressive as ever. George Lynch is the reason I started playing guitar in 1986. What a legend.
Don is enjoying life may not be the singer he once was but he is doing what he love ROKKEN WITH DOKKEN,once was one of the best voices in rock ,I seen them last year and l would go s÷ them again
Why man we all go through life changes and this vid shows it's still a great show! Let him rock into the grave if that is what brings him and fans pleasure. I know I sure want to see him live in the future! Cheers!
George is mr scary in the sense after all these years he’s really shredding it better then ever. He never lost his touch. Have loved dokken since days of the Sony Walkman. Lol.
I went to see the Lynch Mob this past July in Houston, TX and they kicked all kinds of ass. George shouldn’t call this the “Last Ride” he’s on top of the game and shredding better than ever. Ive been seeing him since I was 15 years old and that was in the mid 80s. I’ll go till I’m dead.
I’m sorry but Don probably just needs to call it a day. It’s kind of embarrassing. I know he’s been through a lot, but come on man. This is just sad. It’s like he’s on quaaludes. I saw “Dokken” in 2006 and he sounded great. We all get old and can’t do what we used to. Just accept it.
Don had surgery on his vocal cords and also had cancer. He's doing what he loves, and he was damn good at it. It's sad to see him like this, and I applaud him for trying. If you don't like it and need to talk shit don't watch...
I had total thyroidectomy due to cancer and my vocal chords are held together with stapled from it. ALSO.. I had my neck fused front and back with the front plate removed. I lost my high range in my voice BUT... I now retune music down to MY vocal range. Don should have the guitar players have baritone guitars and 5 string bass.
George Lynch sounds great!! good band Dokkens voice doesn't sound like the young that's forsure but he is keeping it going sound person could have helped him a lot .
Actually, the only reason you can’t hear Don is because the camera that this is being filmed with is right in front of George’s cabinets. God bless Don, but he needsto just stop. 🙏🏼
The person filming is standing directly in front of George's amps. The front of house speakers are to the far side facing behind the person filming. If you move back in the venue and stand toward the center, you'll hear Don's vocals. Where the person is filming from, you're going to hear nothing but guitar. Honestly, it's probably better this way.
When you record video standing right in front of the stage behind the mains (main PA speakers) you get stage volume. The guitar is loud because the person filming was right in front of the guitar cabinets. If they are on the other side it would be all bass guitar. The vocals come through the mains. A mix goes to in ears and floor monitors that are pointed at the band not the crowd. Don's vocal out front was most likely in the mix as it should be. The sound man doesn't need to be fired as one comment stated. Dons mic doesn't need to be turned up if it is in the main mix. Sound is always best when you are back from the stage. Up front gets no mix, just stage volume. Is Don a version of himself? For sure but most from that era are. Age is not kind to singers and he's been having some major health issues. But some of you will still piss and moan because you seem to have nothing better to do. I guess you could start your own band and give it a shot. I wonder if the sound guy told George to turn down because his stage volume was to loud. You know that didn't happen. 😂🤣
George was fire here, actually the whole band was tight....but idk what was up with Don but you really should call it a day..I don't wanna hear the age shit either.. Maiden with Dickinson,Priest with Halford... they're all old,Christ Halfords what 73?? You don't have to run around like it's the 80s to be good ..just gotta bring something to the show for the paying fans
@@briantingley7316 Cancer, vocal surgery, spinal surgery that left him partially paralyzed may explain to you what he’s gone through. Oh, and he recovering from a broken foot. He hobbled on to the stage when I saw him In July. Great show.
Man I know cell phone video and person right in front of Lynch . Still Don isn’t sounding good . I know he loves being on stage and been sick etc. still there’s a time to say goodbye and it’s now .
The old school players have those amps cranked and when you are in front of the guitar player that is all you hear. Had the same thing happen when I got VIP seats for Kix and all I could hear was Bob Pare's guitar.
i saw dokken opening for haggar in 85 at the peoria civic center in illinois. with the live gear at the time and the awful acoustic of the civic center, not sure it sounded any better then. however, it was much livelier:)
Saw Dokken two months ago and Don sounded much better than this performance. Mic is turned way down. Give Don a break. He’s 71 and has been through a lot. Enjoy it while you can.
@@mikekile4412 Exactly. Jack and his band were to open that Dokken show in July in Kentucky but they were replaced by Steelheart. Had plans to see Jack tomorrow night In Wilmington, OH but that won’t happen. Saw Jack many times and will miss his great voice. That loss has to be hard on Don.
george needs to stop going on stage with don, he's demeaning himself at this point. I get the nostalgia but don just can't do it anymore. Kind of embarassing. Don is like...oh you thought vince was bad? Hold my beer!
The template that seems to work is to use all the original member BUT the singer. Get a young singer who still has great voice and take that out. Skid Row did with Erik Gronwel, Great White is doing with Brett xxx. That is an enjoyable show. These singers just don't have any voice left as they get up there in age. The key is get someone who sounds as much like the original as possible. Motley Crue needs to do this.
You dont get a participation trophy for sounding this bad. The drummer and bassist are the only ones trying ti keep time. This is more than just age issues.
It's why George Lynch was guitar player of the year more than once
George was one of the best there ever was. And he's still gettin' it done. Cool to see him still doing this thing.
George is in such great shape at 70 and he is still just as creative and aggressive as ever. George Lynch is the reason I started playing guitar in 1986. What a legend.
HELL YES ME TOO GEORGE IS A LEGEND AND SOMEONE I LEARNED FROM TOO AND YOU DONT SEE ANY 70 YEAR OLDS MOVING AND LOOKING LIKE HIM EITHER :)
George Lynch is a Real Friend to this Man. Bravo to Lynch.
Dokken was great in their prime! Fantastic memories in the 80s listening to their albums!
What are you talking about ? They hate each other

It was cool my friend lent George two Marshall 4x12s so he could have three full Marshall stacks at his Houston concert back in July.
That guitar really fits George, nice harmonics and whammy bar technique!
George throwing a favor to Don knowing his days are numbered
So cool brings back great ole time early 80 s , Tulsa show small venue all org members it was a blast to hear.If that would happen a sell out Tour..
🤘🤘🤘🤘

Instrumental ❓
Pretty much 😀
All i can hear is George but um fine with that😊wishing don the best with his health hats off to the man
Looks like Don suffering sciatica pain, blessings to all
Instrumental ?
Can we combine the functional members of the 80s hair bands and the one or two bands just play all their bands hits?
All ya need is winger
What are you people complaining about? This is an excellent instrumental. Oh theres vocals on it? Dang i dont hear any.
Turn up the voice, damm it
Okay, somebody forgot to insert 50 cents into the robot posing as Don Dokken to get it to sing.

George must be playing through Levins rig! Much more sustain! Sounds much better.
Georges hair piece looks pretty good.
I don't know... I'm a 52 year old guitar player and my hair looks almost just like that naturally. Hasn't thinned out too much.
