These vendor tables always bring back so many memories for me when I see kits I had many years ago that I really enjoyed building and would love to revisit, as well as others I've wanted for years.

That Revell '48 Ford convertable builds Stock only. Got one on ebay for $25 about a year ago. Got a Revell cream color paint, that is almost a perfect match for that box art. There is also a Revell/ Monogram Pro- Modeler release of it, that does have the hotrod option. I Have it too. Nice to see your family there with you.

Hey Matt and family. I was on Brian's ( Got Fuels Model Car Garage ) live stream " hangout " last night, and heard through the grapevine, that some congratulations are in order for Miss Ruthie. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing her next build. She's been absent from the bench for a while. Come to think of it, Miss Heather has also been absent from the bench for a while as well. I would love to see her build another kit also.
I gotta be honest Matthew, it's getting to be buyer beware a bit on kit prices. I saw some decent vendors in the video, but I also saw too many vendors gouging. There were kits priced $30-40 that can still be found at Hobby Lobby or Ollies for $18, even $13, and my local hobby store would have many others for under $30. Last year at shows you went to, I was seeing a lot of sub-$20 prices on kits, this year not many un-opened kits were less than $25 in this video unless the kit was something unpopular. One month ago, I bought a '57 Chrysler 300 kit in Detroit for $18 ...... and another vendor there had it for $20, so I went back to the first one to buy it for $2 less, no haggling. Here at one of the SC vendor's tables, that same '57 Chrysler 300 was priced at $28!! This is going to hurt the hobby in the long run, if too many novice buyers are not knowledgeable about prices and make kits get too expensive for the rest of us. I noticed a few of the vendors there in your video had already marked down their price on boxes 2 or 3 times. That was good to see, but they were still priced too high. People coming to these shows need to be aware of what prices should be, don't just pay whatever is on the box, and then be prepared to run -- not walk -- away. I know I'm going to get more aggressive in my offering price from now on at vendor shows, after some of the huge markups I saw on some of these tables.
Hi Matthew really enjoy your videos and have been a subscriber for at least 5 years now.As you were filming the different vendors you stopped and talked to a Father and his son.Do you happen to recal who the vendor was that you were filming as he had a couple of truck models that I have been searching for and they are always cheaper at the shows than thru ebay.Would appreciate any information you can provide if possible.thank you in advance.
Sometimes when I attend shows, I'll walk away with a treasure trove and other times zilch, nada. Even though you dont need my well wishes on your 3d business I'm gonna give them to you anyway. I hope you do very well for yourself & your family.
