in july i had my first cruise mind you the items i now mention are from a differant ship but i would bring my carnival coffee tumbler and carnival hoodie with me now on each cruise
I love this video! Watched some other videos so knew about some of the items on your list. What's so funny is that I had a friend going on a cruise with her family (her 1st day is today) and I couldn't remember where I had seen the suggested magnetic hooks. Tho't maybe $Tree. Couldn't find them but saw the 4pk of the clips w/strong magnets, which I think is more versatile since you can clip or hang something on it! Snagged the outlet expander. Forgot about the corkscrew. Taget had a travel wash pack for the sink with a flat rubber sink stopper. Having extras at home, I gave her a highlighter, 2 sticky note pads, various size zip lock bags & my rain poncho. At the last 2nd I advised her to grab Thank You notes but don't know if she got them. Can hardly wait for my 1st cruise that she and I are going on with some of our friends in Feb 2023.....with all my $Tree items! Thanks so very much for this easy (& FREE) printable list. I better go so I can watch more of your fun videos!!
now in 2022, that list is around 60 bucks! since they increased to 1.25. I brought a battery operated clock set to boat time. plastic bags for trash, the cans were small. bring a bag to carry to pool, beaches etc
On every cruise, I crave salty snacks like chips but there seems no “free” food that are like potato chips. Bring those short cans of Pringles so they dont get crushed in transit.
@@jptraveladventures I get my batteries there all the time and have had no problem with any type. I do, however, always check the dates on them to be sure they are not an old batch.
Great video, some known stuff mixed with some new ideas. Very thorough. I am visual too, I printed off our car rentals and could see which one will work and what I had duplicates of etc. Love my laptop and internet. But there is something about paper copy that just brings it together. Gravol or drimane for sea sickness. I have usually only had to take one. But good to have. And polysporin and hydrocortisone and allergy tablets at dollar tree.
Hi from Canada! When we travel/leave the country, we must keep prescriptions in the original packaging with the Rx sticker on it; not allowed to decant to pill boxes. Not 100% sure about vitamins... the government site was contradictory, but better safe than sorry, right? :) Thanks for the video!
Great informational video. I've never been to a dollar store, but will definitely visit to stock up for our upcoming. I'm just dreading that our luggage will be massive...since it's an Alaskan cruise, and the clothing needed is pretty much winter. We usually do warm weather cruises in the Caribbean, Mexico or Mediterranean....and for a family of 5, we pack 2 large suitcases and 2 medium. For Alaska I'm estimating 5 large suitcases......maybe 6.
Hi Dangic23, Another great item you can get from Dollar Tree is vacuum bags. They work fantastic and are even better than the more expensive bags. We used them on our month long trip to Europe in late October and November. We were able to pack 4 times as much as we could without them. You don't even really need a vacuum to suck the air out. We sat on them for our return trip and was still able to get everything in them and back into the suitcases, no problem.
Yikes, how much were you taking? We've done Alaska twice and we have 2 medium sized suitcases for 3 of us. Even for our 14nt for next year we'll each have a suitcase just larger than a carry on. It's not as cold as you might think. Layer up! Base layer t-shirt, warmer layer, jacket and a rain layer and you're good.
Lots of good things for travel at the dollar store. However I wouldn’t buy electronics there. From my experience they often break super fast or the sound quality is horrible. I have even had extension cords from the dollar tree stop working within a couple days of use. Cvs has better affordable electronics or even Walmart, target or amazon
I buy the dollar tree earphones for my phone. If your smart phone has a hole to plug them in. I like to listen to videos I have on download, to lull myself to sleep, plus, it drowns out snoring, if you have cabin mates!

There are bottles of hand sanitizer at dollar tree that have caribiners attached. After the sanitizer is used up, you have a spare caribiner.
Minnesota here too!!! Love the Minneapolis mention & will need to check out the Nicollet store.
Thanks
Very thorough!! Thanks! I loved the porch idea for glades ear buds and plastic pouch for documents .

Very thoughtful, we cruise often, I never bring half the items you mentioned and ALWAYS wish I had, now I will be better prepared thank you

Cruising in 2 weeks
Great. How do you find space for all that stuff in your carry on and your clothes 😀

I'm headed to Alaska for 12 days in September. I've been wondering how to get everything in one suitcase plus carry on.
Great tips. Look for a small first aid kit
Well done! Great advice. 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽😊
Awesome tips thanks
Thank you, this was awesome
I do most of that every time i go on holiday, Don't forget diarrhoea tablets and dehydration powders. I always take too many plasters with me lol
Great review
I just used regular trash bags for my dirty clothes
Same...I use plastic shopping bags for all the shoes and any possible sandy clothes.
And I use kitchen size trash bags for dirty clothes.
The shower caps are an interesting idea. We've just used ziplock bags as they are always on hand at home.
Where can I get a list at
I went to 3 Dollar tree and didnt find a single one.

Sandy pruitt
how many comments the list was upsidedown, lol🙃😎
The dollar tree tea lights are toooo dim! They produce next to no light. A puck light is a better option.
Inside cabins do not have magnetic walls
Yes they do! Mine always did on Carnival ships!
They do on Vista and the newer ships!
Royal Caribbean has magnetic walls in all w cabins

packing too much
I don’t know that she personally is taking all that stuff; I think it’s more of a what might be useful for you type video
