There's an interesting tension about this topic. At one side, you are in peril of falling to a nostalgia about the days that come and went, not being able to appreciate the present. At the other side, not looking back entirely and reflecting about changes can lead up to passivity and an acritical perspective about the things nowadays, not being able to imagine the future being different. Cheers, good video
Soufiane rahimi is one of the best african strikers at the moment, hes the asian champions league and olympic games top scorer, even tho he is not playing against top tier players but hes been playing incredible even tho his team aint that good, he is such an intelligent and hardworking striker
As an Italian this year I've seen Gudmudsson ball out in Serie A with Genoa even tho he's more of a CAM. Zirkzee has the potential to be world class but idk if he can reach that level at Man Utd, I would have preferred to see him at Arsenal. A player that interests me a lot is Artem Dovbryk that has just moved to Roma and i think he will pair well with Dybala and Soule
Honestly it’s because the game has changed entirely. Strikers aren’t traditional anymore. They are expected to do a lot of things to help the team that their predecessors weren’t expected to do.
Even though he got meme-d to death I bet Nico Jackson will be a damn good striker in 5 years or less. He scored 14 goals in his first season in the premier league at 22 years old (also only his second season in a top league). Anyone that actually watched him play last year knows he’s so much more than just the memes and bad misses.
Fotis Ioannidis, he isnt a clinical goal scorer but very smart and technical. Drops low to create for his team mates and a very allround player for sure. Big Move coming up next Summer
I really think the reasons strikers have “changed” is the way they’re conditioned to play from an early age, also when ever a player brings up the likes of Suarez I always say, Messi also tactics have changes
I think the Wingers situation is way better compared to the Strikers situation. Arsenal, Chelsea, Man UTD, even Real Madrid had number 9s who could easily score 25+ League Goals.. just ask yourself this, who are the number 9s who can be an alternatives (basically same level) to Haaland who's currently regarded the best?
A striker that have the potential to be world-class and, let's be real here he is already a world-class striker is the player is defining my Sporting, Viktor Gyokeres. Yeah, I know that his name has been talked about during this summer for what he did for Sporting last season but the numbers speak for themselves. But not only his numbers are great but also his ability to change the in a hearbeat is also there. I swear, I recommend any of you that is reading this comment to see the highlights of Porto vs Sporting 2-2 draw at the Estádio do Dragão for the Portuguese League last season. I swear, I shit you not, Porto winning 2-0 by the 80th minute, when Sporting were to 10 men almost throughout the entire match and with and a injured Gyokeres that suffered a muscle sprain during the 1st half. He single-handedly, 2-1 goal by Gyokeres in the 81st minute via a header that caught the Porto's defense sleeping. And then, in the 82nd minute, another goal from Gyokeres just by appearing at the right time with his blistering pace and awareness to destroy the Porto's backline to not even give them any time to react from a high cross from the Right wingback Gent Catamo. Making it 2-2 on the night and Sporting through the sheer willpower of this absolute animal escape with a point at the Dragão. By the way, the Porto's goalkeeper was Diogo Costa. The highlights of the match that I'm telling is on UA-cam. I don't know how well Gyokeres will be if he decides to want to go to the Premier League but remember whoever buys Gyokeres from us, you will have a world-class striker in your hands.
I feel like big football co operations and some fans are more of the problem than the football it self because with the rise of the monopolising of football creates a rise in competition which with the acquisition of oil money which can buy the best players in world on one team which can't just be countered by one magic player with flair unless ur Jesus so the only way to mostly solve it is by the pep guardiolaization of football and making it more about tactics which also to more strikers become 'more robotic' when in reality its a actually a good adaptation from the past and shows how more versatile footballers have become but the bad part is it takes away from the entertainment even though football is still entertaining but the only way we can bring back the rhythm flair and show of individual talent is by us football fans rising up and standing up against the monopolising of football because not only will it be much more entertainment but be more competitive as the versatility of players from the guardiolisation of football will create a whole new dimension to the game while also bringing back that entertainment that we crave so much Sorry about the bad spellings my english isn't that good
Future world class strikers: Haaland, Havertz, Alvarez, Issak,Osimhen, Endrick,Boniface, Sesko and Ferguson Also I see Cole Palmer transitioning into a striker as the so called "8 and a half" role gets more popular with modern football tactics
All jokes aside, Higuain has been a worldclass striker for more than 10 years and he gets constantly disrespected, probably by children that know him only because of the memes (and Argentinians/Messi fans too)
Bro! I was snapping my fingers about your bit if comparing the past vs. present strikers. No lies detected. You was cooking! That's exactly how I felt but couldn't articulate until this video. Here's a theory about the past vs.😢 vs..present athletes. For example, I will always say that Henry is better than the likes of Haaland and Mbappe but on the flip side, I'm only saying that because of the emotional connection and core memories I have because of Thiery Henry. Haaland and Mbappe are yet to make me experience that core memory or emotional supernova of pure joy I got from watching Henry or Ronaldinho You know what I mean? That core moment scored against Real Madrid or his Invincible season. He was incredible. Or Ronaldinho's INSANE, magical, out of this world dribbling NO ONE WILL EVER RECREATE! I'm yet to get that from Mbappe or Haaland. They are great players and on paper, they have the potential to earn more profitable, famous, and illustrious careers in the long run. It really looks that way. And during that period, players like Haaland, Isak, Nketiah, Mbappe, Oshimen and Lautaro might become someone else's "Henry" or "Drogba" or "Ronaldo" You get me? I think that's why old heads and the youngins clash so much. Because we're all prioritizing our own core memories and emotional attachment of our favorite players against each other. Instead, we can still acknowledge and validate each other's opinions while we simultaneously maintain the spirit of debate regarding our favorite strikers. Because there's always a better striker. Always.
it's just that prime messi and ronaldo just smashed goals day in and day out to the point where i think 50+ goals is regular and i get dissapointed seeing strikers like haaland scoring 35 goals even though i know damn well i shouldn't
Strikers nowadays aren’t the main man of the team, unlike in the 2000’s and 1990’s. Wingers are expected to score more goals now than before, so strikers don’t get as many chances. Slow build up has stopped the end to end games where 5,6,7 goals were being scored a game. The likes of Guirassy, Hojlund, Thuram, Lukaku and Isak would have been banging in 20-25 goals a season for teams in 2007-2013.
I think now there are strikers with big potential like Gyokeres or Pavlidis from benfica or from Portuguese league winger but also can do in number 9 i think Trincao. Big clubs are sleeping on these players
Realistically it’s just nostalgia. Other than the fact that we’re not going to get another Messi-Ronaldo rivalry, realistically the next generation (not just strikers) isn’t actually worse. The tactics have just changed. But the Isak glazing has to stop. We get it none of your strikers are even near Solanke, so you have to thirst over a transfer rumor 🤣
I agree, tactics have changed and it would be hard to make the entire defense block look stupid as messi used to do. I think that also we do not have 2 players so above the rest playing in the same league pushing each other to get such numbers, and it was rare to said the truth, we cant expect this to be the norm.

Luis Miguel instrumentals in the back…. Immediately liked
Gyokeres at Sporting is the perfect example of this
Even though he got meme-d to death I bet Nico Jackson will be a damn good striker in 5 years or less.
In the Name of the Arsenal, and of the Arteta and the Edu-Kroenke, please sign a striker.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don't know how well Gyokeres will be if he decides to want to go to the Premier League but remember whoever buys Gyokeres from us, you will have a world-class striker in your hands.
almiron caught a stray for no reason😭😭
@@thelawyer95 he has been so garbo for a while now but i meant the egghead joke
I feel like big football co operations and some fans are more of the problem than the football it self because with the rise of the monopolising of football creates a rise in competition which with the acquisition of oil money which can buy the best players in world on one team which can't just be countered by one magic player with flair unless ur Jesus so the only way to mostly solve it is by the pep guardiolaization of football and making it more about tactics which also to more strikers become 'more robotic' when in reality its a actually a good adaptation from the past and shows how more versatile footballers have become but the bad part is it takes away from the entertainment even though football is still entertaining but the only way we can bring back the rhythm flair and show of individual talent is by us football fans rising up and standing up against the monopolising of football because not only will it be much more entertainment but be more competitive as the versatility of players from the guardiolisation of football will create a whole new dimension to the game while also bringing back that entertainment that we crave so much
Sorry about the bad spellings my english isn't that good
Future world class strikers: Haaland, Havertz, Alvarez, Issak,Osimhen, Endrick,Boniface, Sesko and Ferguson
Also I see Cole Palmer transitioning into a striker as the so called "8 and a half" role gets more popular with modern football tactics
Sweden is gonna be cooking with strikers ( Isak is a good goalscorer and really aolid dribbler, and Gyokeres just put up Haaland-like numbers)
All jokes aside, Higuain has been a worldclass striker for more than 10 years and he gets constantly disrespected, probably by children that know him only because of the memes (and Argentinians/Messi fans too)
Lewandowski aka Lewangoalski aka Legendowski aka Mr. 5 in 9 is my favourite Striker and one of the best in history for me
Nketiah actually had bare potential and he was on track
love this content man
Nostalgia merchants annoying ngl
GYOKERS TO ARSENAL PLSSSS
Uncle Jib finally using slang at 5:28
Camarda is going to be one of the best strikers of his generation
vardy is the prime example of the english striker
Haaland and Mbappe are yet to make me experience that core memory or emotional supernova of pure joy I got from watching Henry or Ronaldinho
You know what I mean?
That core moment scored against Real Madrid or his Invincible season. He was incredible. Or Ronaldinho's INSANE, magical, out of this world dribbling NO ONE WILL EVER RECREATE!
I'm yet to get that from Mbappe or Haaland. They are great players and on paper, they have the potential to earn more profitable, famous, and illustrious careers in the long run. It really looks that way.
And during that period, players like Haaland, Isak, Nketiah, Mbappe, Oshimen and Lautaro might become someone else's "Henry" or "Drogba" or "Ronaldo"
You get me?
I think that's why old heads and the youngins clash so much. Because we're all prioritizing our own core memories and emotional attachment of our favorite players against each other.
Instead, we can still acknowledge and validate each other's opinions while we simultaneously maintain the spirit of debate regarding our favorite strikers. Because there's always a better striker.
Always.
it's just that prime messi and ronaldo just smashed goals day in and day out to the point where i think 50+ goals is regular and i get dissapointed seeing strikers like haaland scoring 35 goals even though i know damn well i shouldn't
can we get a yaya toure vid
The problem with Mbappé is he’s already proved himself before the euros, and he was still their best player
Inzaghi still had to put those chances away, its not a case of staying onside so you get an automatic goal...
haaland is cooking rn
Edin Dzeko top 3 strikers of all time? (Unbiased opinion from a Bosnian)
man i love your videoss...❤
I appreciate that!
I think that Gonçalo Ramos will be world class soon
Watkins-Isak-MATETA: MY FPL FRONT THREE
lets get a jib fpl league !!
I truly don't see a team who would lose a game against themselves from 20 years ago
(except MAN UTD 😂😂)
6:03 Isak's parents are from Eritrea. And he's born and raised in Sweden.
lol its just habeshas are irrelevant so when describing them thy describe their ownere the somalis
John duran bro 🤧 wish we managed to poach him to spurs, villa knows they have a fkn baller. Happy with solanke tho, just wish we had both 😂
diogo jota is easily the best striker in the prem rn, hes a clinical striker
Somali Henry😭😭😂 his Swedish but I'm sure you know that jokes aside Isak is class 🔥 🔥🔥
he is not originally from sweden, he is talking about his background
@@randomuser11222 He's not even Somali, he's Eritrean
@@EvenAllmighty cheers bro you win some you lose some doesn't matter though point is the lad is class👌🏽
Harvertz future balon dor🙂
Really😬😬
It's sad how people are disrespecting Haaland for doing what he's good at
Realistically it’s just nostalgia.
I think that also we do not have 2 players so above the rest playing in the same league pushing each other to get such numbers, and it was rare to said the truth, we cant expect this to be the norm.
we might even see new positions
I ve always said that isaac needs to be the forward of barcelona instead of lewandowski
Antony has potential to be 3 goals away from scoring a hattrick 🥶💀
4:55 Persona and Football fan, ahh, so I'm not alone
Never alone ⭐️
