- Do you want to remove wax from a glass? - Here I show you how it works really easy!
✅ Is HERE something for you? ➡️ amzn.to/3Hi7tEy *
Have you ever had a candle in a jar where the wick burned down at the end, but there was still some wax in the jar that you would have liked to remove? Here I show you how exactly this works with a simple trick.
All you need is water. Ideally, this should be 50-60 degrees warm. Because at 40 degrees the wax starts to melt. Now tip the water into the glass, so that the complete wax is under water.
Now wait a short time and then try to get the wax out with a toothpick. If there is still a relatively large amount of candle wax in the jar, you can remove it directly. Otherwise, wait until the wax has melted. This will bring it to the surface of the water. Now you just have to wait until the water is cold again, then you can easily remove the wax.
Then tip the water through a household cloth so that the rest of the wax ends up in the cloth, which you can then throw in the trash and you won't have any candle wax in the drain. To get the glass really clean, you can put some vinegar on a piece of cloth and wipe the glass with it.
After that, your glass should be completely free of candle wax and you can use it for other purposes. Try this trick also with you once.

Do you know THIS incredible TRICK with Candles? 😱➡ ua-cam.com/video/wtB92Bu1gjI/v-deo.html ⬅
Watch it NOW 🔥
Just put it in the freezer for a half an hour or so, then just break it up in pieces w a sharp knive. Pretty simple.
u can also put ur candle into the freezer, and it should pop out of the jar after a few hours
Thats exactly what i was going to say. 😁
Or stand the jar in hot water and leave until the wax is loose.
I've been doing the freezer trick for many years. It works!!!
Oh just saw this after I posted about the freezer to x so much easier and safer. X
That is my go to move.
Put the glass upside down in the freezer for a couple of hours. The wax comes off easily and in a very clean way!
not necessarily upside down, but i put it in freezer, then while frozen, sharp rap on cork trivet, wax comes out.
Testing this now
i used up the remaining wax by buying empty tea light holders with the wicks. once i’ve removed the leftover wax, i break it up into pieces and then put them into the tea light holders and use it up that way. the candles i was using were pretty pricey, and i wanted to get the most out of them.
Actually I was looking after a comment like yours. There's a lot of ways you can give a second porpoise to thinks. My husband hates that I'm saving jars of glass or if a ceramic jar lost its handle I sand off the sharp edges and now I have a pot, or a pencil or a brush holder, maybe a jar to have the clean and dirty water when I'm painting. We love kosher pickles and we buy them from a nice and economy brand, like $1½ per jar. After the pickles died, I
Clean the jar and now I have a container for minced garlic with olive oil, or I can store broth in the fridge and use it for another recipe. I have like 20 Corona beer bottles waiting to become glasses (I broke all the glasses we bought with some ceramic jars and were gifted to us when we married, only in five years... I take some meds that makes me clumsy and I'm already clumsy!
So yeap. Even the plants with a plastic normal pot that wither, if I can plant another I'll do, if not, they become pots for my felt handmade cactuses haha. He knew what it was to be married to a crafty woman.
Also some candles are so damn expensive! Or someone gives one as a gift and you don't want to throw it away, just because the wick wastes.
especially with scented wax! :D
@@KittyLovesGlover with scented I think you need to be careful with the smells. Imagine getting an awful mix of scents... Well, now thinking it a little bit more, you can take advantage of the strongest smell and just add some essential oils to enhance it... Hmm. Or use the wax from unscented candles.
Yes! Why waste them especially if you loved the scent, right? 👍🏼
It doesnt need to be that labor intensive. Dip the jar in hot (nearly boiling) water for a few seconds making sure to water is lower than the rim and at least as high as the top of the wax. Carefully remove jar and turn the jar upside down. If the wax doesnt immediately release, try leaving the jar in the water a bit longer.
exactly
i'll try that, way smarter
I put a small amount of water in the container before putting the candle in, never have a problem getting the wax out. I save the wax to make pinecone fire starters and they don’t need a wick.
Tip: Do not dump wax into your sink.
Wisdom
I put the glass under my armpit for a week until it melts.
Do you have a trick for getting wax out of armpit hair?
This is what I do. Thanks for the vinegar suggestion - that is a good idea. If it was a scented candle then I sometimes use a little tin as a mould (the type you get tomato purée in or a small apple pie) and then melt the remaining candle wax, and you can use this in a burner, or even on a radiator (in a small dish) if you want the scent without a flame.
Useful. I always place candles in glass containers for safety and then have trouble getting wax out. Thank you!!
Or you can lower the glass into a container filled with hot water, let it sit a few minutes. Take it out carefully, the glass may be hot, use a pad. (OR you can hold the glass by the rim, and run a little hot water on the outside of it to melt it just a little. Take a knife and pry it out, now that the layer against the glass is melted).
Then pry out the wax chunk with a knife, wipe out any hot wax with a paper towel. If there is more wax that has cooled again, run a little stream of hot water on the outside, and wipe again with paper towel.
I plant succulents in the glasses after I get the wax out! Sometimes use white n black mini rocks from dollar tree in layers.
wax in glass. just stick the item in the freezer, wait till it freezes, the wax will just "pop" out. espcially useful when using wax melts in wax warmers.
Another great tip! I will try it! Thank you!
Great tip ! My way , your way , doesn’t matter so long as it works ! Thank you !
My grandmother told me many many years ago to just slide the jar into the freezer for an hour or two. It pulls the wax away from the sides of the jar and pops right out. No muss, no fuss. The only time it didn't work for me was on a really oily soy candle that was c h e a p trash from a dollar store.
Can also use a layer from disposable mask to strain the wax from water.
Good idea but I use I flat head screwdriver to carefully pry the wax out. And can get the metal piece out as well. No boiling or freezing needed. Hope it works for you.
Very helpful--thank you!
great tip ! Since my husband retired and is home all day, I don't burn candles anymore , he always goes around blowing them out ☹
jackie wheeler: Since I now have a cat, I stopped burning real candles and switched to LED candles. I love them, I think you will too, and your husband can't blow them out! 😅
Sounds like my husband too! Lol
@@noplacelikehome9116 😄
why would he blow them out - how rude, if he knows you like them, and they're not hurting him.
Was he a firefighter?
Thank you so much, this worked perfectly 😊
Omg! Yes!! Thank you! Thank you!
I put my glass votive holders in a pot of hot water (off the stove). Heating from the inside like this takes too long, heat up the glass from the outside in a hot water bath. Next time I'm trying the freezer trick though, that sounds like an even easier way to do this.
I didnt know vinegar could do that! Brilliant tip! Thanx❣
Ingenious! Thank you so much for this tip. Greetings from Montreal! :)
Very very smart to keep it from going in the drain..thank you!
Your Welcome :)
Great solution to a problem I've never thought of before.
Just pop it in the freezer…former candlemaker here
When the weather’s warm enough, I stick the container upside down on a paper towel and leave it out in direct sunlight and walk away. After an hour or so the wax pretty much removes itself.
Here's my issue I have a few old candles that the wick is glued to the glass how we get that out?
Thanks 👍 for sharing 🕯
Should have check out your video before I tried to remove the wax😂. Thanks heaps for the helpful tips❤
Bonne idée, bon travail...
Danke schoen!
I checked my entire store and couldn't find any winegar. Can I use vinegar, I assume it's similar?
Thanks!
Thank you very much :)
Dziękuję 🌹
Love your accent too❣
How cool is that! Thank you:)
Good information, thank you
Your Welcome :)
Much easier and quicker to simply place it in the freezer for a few hours, remove it from the freezer, and it will pop right out! No fuss, no muss!
Спасибо большое.
Thank you for the tip. 😀
Your Welcome ;)
That’s so cool 😅
We've got lots of wax in glasses and jars. Now I know what to do.
Perfect! :)
Very good
Grazie mille
thank you

Thank you.
Have a great day.
Thank you! ❤️
Your Welcome :)
What do you do with the leftover wax?
Save the bits up for when you are making another candle
1. Throw glass against brick wall
2. Collect wax from ground
3. Sorted.
What is “winagar”?
How do you get the metal piece at the bottom to come out? That’s the tricky part for me 🥴
Warm water did the job cuz it was glued.
Cuando aprenda idiomas,ts que no se momestan en traducir simultaneamente, puesne volvere a pasar por aki Gracias .Bie.
Good to know! I have a beautiful glass bowl left over with the last of the candle wax and I wasn’t going to throw it away. Now, what to do with the beautiful, oblong shaped bowl…🧐
Ist time on your channel... Luv your accent! Is it Austrian?
Freezer trick is sooo much safer x no mess at all x simply put in freezer few hours or overnight x then whack the bottom and pop out it comes x
Excellent tip! Thank you 👍🏻
It looked like there was still wax at bottom of cup?
Awesome!! Now we need to get rid of the label!! 🤭🤭🤭👍👍👍
Thanks for warning about not putting the wax down the drain.
Soak in cold water for an hour & remove the entire candle. If particles of wax residue remain on glass, soak in cold water for another hour and just pour it out and wash w/ dish detergent & warm water. Easy Peasy!!
nice
I am literally drinking oj out of a glass that used to be a candle. I will have to try this method next time!
TY❤️
Your Welcome :)
Нужно стаканчик с воском поместить в ёмкость с водой чуть большего размера и разогреть на плите.Воск легко отойдёт.
Bravo like 👍❤👍
I put mine in the freezer leave it for awhile it pops right out clean..
HOW TF UA-cam KNOWS I NEEDED THIS ??? 😳😳😳
Put the candles in a warm oven for a few minutes until the wax has melted. Add a new wick and you have a whole new candle.
Put the glass in hot water. Don't let the water touch the wax. It will pop out.
I put mine on the window sill. The sun melted it enough so that it slid right out. Much easier.
Más fácil húbiese sido ,,poner el vaso con la cera al bańo maria
I put my mine in the microwave for 10-15 seconds & poke the stuck wax out with a knife. Works every time ✔️
Some candles have metal in the wick and also on the bottom..be careful
@@Journal2Awakening I did think that but when I turned the microwave on it didn’t spark so I count 10-13 seconds and stop it. The wax comes out in one piece every time. Much easier to throw away in one lump ✔️
I put some water and spoolie in the candle and put It for few seconds in the microwafe. Finish
Freezer is the beast and easiest
That's what I do
Any vids on how to fix typos with a *simple trick? 😆
put the glass on a central heater and 5 to 10 minutes later it will pop out😉
Przecierz wrzatkiem wystarczy zlac i po wosku
The real challenge is completely removing the sticker from the bottom.
What kind of wax is this?
👍🏻
Even easier: add a small amount of DAWN FOAM then a little warm water and wait 15 minutes. The wax will tumble out.
Or put in freezer and it pops right out
Anyone who ever left a candle out in the rain knows this trick. Hot water also works.
Just put it in the freezer.💖
Turn glass upside down run hot water over glass pops out easy I do it all the time not that serious lol
It’s way easier to just po0 it in the freezer for a bit. It peels right off.
Put the glass in the freezer for 10 to 15 mins and it comes out
I need HELP !! How to remove candle wax from my short pile carpet ? 🥴🤞
You could try kitchen paper and your iron. It will get rid of most of the wax.
Use the iron with paper towel over wax and it should come out easy. Be sure to use warm setting and start little by little.
I had candle wax drip onto my very tall speaker’s fabric cover - recently I left just the cover in the sun and it became soft enough to remove bit by bit without damaging the fabric. I wish I had tried the iron trick here- long before I moved to the desert:)
I use a brown paper bag and an iron
Avec un couteau... ça marche, plus simple...le reste à l'eau chaude
Thanks German accent guy with cool tatted arms!
Mmmm. I put the glass in a pan of water and heat gently, the wax melts, and can be poured out, little to no residue. And the wax can be reused, rather than being wet and trashed.
