Word of caution for anyone who buys this ( or other model with cabinet between island and slideout). Make sure those drawers are closed before you put the Slideout out. The first 2 units I delivered to Dealership were damaged when they opened the slideout and the drawers were not closed. Busted the drawers, the cabinet , and the countertop.
That was the first thing that came to my mind. Those drawers had better not pop open when you’re going down the road. I like the design, but the latches had better be sturdy enough to stay closed while it’s on the move.
Hey JD, I hope you're having a great day! I love this Cougar fifth wheel, I love the full paint job on the outside! I love everything about this unit but I do agree that they should have done something to the headboard area in this unit. Thank you JD for showing us this unit! Your number one fan an friend Leonard from North Carolina.
I love the full paint in grey. Another great walkthrough, I appreciate the upgrades they’re doing on the Midnight Package and the “full size” premium line …. Great video…
Like the layout of the kitchen although it feels pretty much like a "one butt kitchen" so it would be hard to have anyone else helping out with the cooking or doing dishes. The living area is a great set up although it might be nice to have just a bit more room to get up and out from the far side chair at the dining table without disturbing the inside person especially if you have some extra weight as some of us do. They tend to make the dinette area a little too tiny in a lot of units for being a free standing dinette setup.
It’s a beautiful unit with a great layout. I agree with you, though, about the headboard. It’s very sterile and looks like an afterthought. And, as others have said, the drawers in that kitchen peninsula had better stay closed when the slide’s in or it’s going to be a disaster when the slide gets opened.
Downsize no countertop space on the right side of the oven tight area. Dining slide out is tight for bigger people to sit comfortably. Bathroom prefer to a seat in the shower folds up more room. Living room sofa is amazing.
Nice RV, Yeah be careful of those kitchen draws when opening the slide. Bedroom lacks some comfort detail, designers must have started at the rear end and by the time they got to the front... budget was limited. Nice color, looks good.
Another question JD, currently we have a 2018 Cougar and are very interested in upgrading( staying in a Cougar) to possibly one of the midnight models. Do you think Keystone would entertain the idea of manual switches and controls. I maybe wrong but the In Command is going to give problems eventually? As usual great video.
Overall I like it, but they could have done some things a little better let's hope that they are reading this or have heard the customer's feedback and listened, it's a very nice unit. I wish they could have added some more towel space in the bathroom for just the two of us we have a lot of drying towelers and face towels and toilet papers and things like that, they didn't really have a lot but I guess from the price point they did what they did.
I agree on the sterile look in the bedroom. Is that a camp queen? Would’ve been nice to have a nightstand to place CPAP machines on. Very nice unit otherwise.
My opinion on the bedroom is I don’t mind it or the bathroom. The bedroom is for four things sleeping, baby making, getting dressed and possibly in this case doing laundry. I am also ok with the bathroom. In my opinion the bathroom is not an entertaining space! I however am not a fan of the sectional. Idk I never find them very comfortable. I also kind of really like the exterior. No wild crazy graphics!
Nice floor plan and can be bought at a reasonable price but the thermocouple for the bathroom sing is chinsy. A better bathroom counter tip would have been better.
Bedroom is sooo boring!!! And you need to show the whole outside, seeing how they do the wet bays and sewerage hookups are very important information, thanks for the great job you do. (More camper special please).
Love the layout and FBP looks amazing, but unfortunately keystones are not a good quality camper. They cut a lot of corners on building materials like counter tops, cabinets etc and the beds are framed in cheap wood. Walked through hundreds of campers the last 5 or 6 years and we're ordering a Rockwood monday morning.
Walked though one of these a month or so back in grey looked and felt cheap. Didn’t like the chassis specs since you brought it up. Ended up buying an Alpine
Question: I installed the Road Armor suspension on my fifth wheel with the heavy duty shackles and grease fittings. I am only able to get a few fittings to accept grease. Is there a trick to doing this. Do I need to raise the wheel off the ground to get the fittings to accept grease? Do you or anyone else know the best way?
Absolutely love the living area, not sure about the kitchen, seems box·y. Absolutely do not like the bed head area wall nor the inside of the closet wall, that's a deal breaker for me....
Peninsula, not island. This kitchen is totally unworkable! I don't know how they think they can get away with only 2 overhead cabinets. The black exterior looks slick; however, I believe it will be hot as hot as h€||. This is a definite no-go for us.

That was the first thing I thought of when he was showing the kitchen. Should be soft closing drawers also.
Agree with you about headboard. Love the outside paint.
I think it will get 🥵 as hell in the Texas heat with that color. 😅
It's like they spent all the money on the living room and kitchen and forgot about the front half of the fifth wheel, 😂

Nice, Love the kitchen and LR.
We saw this at the Maryland show, its gorgeous
Wow. This is a nice rv. Thanks jd!
Padded head board Bingo!!! ( I Like this one )
Shocked you give this best in show over a Brinkley.
I love the Brinkley's but they are double the price
Side by side fridge, FTW!

I’ve seen quite a few reviews on this midnight edition now. Is this dark color and heat soak really a thing to worry about?
Reminds me of the montana paint job

Missing shelf bedside. Cpap is necessary.

How did the slide work with the sofa...?
Hands down perfect IF, North South bed with night stands and a wardrobe in the slide

Not bad, love the couch! Does it make into a sleeper?

I think the bathroom and bedroom are lacking and is a negative to the other half if the unit.
Wish manufactures would stop having floor registers in the middle of floors or close to it.
I agree on the sterile look in the bedroom. Is that a camp queen? Would’ve been nice to have a nightstand to place CPAP machines on. Very nice unit otherwise.
Bedroom is disappointing. Hate the lack of bedside tables . Those overhead shelves just aren’t convenient.
The whole room feels cramped.
FINALLY. A toilet that doesn't take up half the entry to the shower.

At least you don’t have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.
I want one

Screw the floorplan, worry about the frame.

Is your greasegun strong enough? What type of grease are you using?
Looks like a tight fit into the shower.

Length please.
Stove is to close to wall.
Will never buy another Keystone, they are junk
I don't like it
Too bad it’s junk
