- First ever visit by a foreign group of visitors to a North Korean home in Pyongyang. This flat, near the centre of Pyongyang, is occupied by a university lecturer and his wonderful family. If interested in visiting North Korea on a tour, then join me on one of my next adventures - all tour details are on www.visitdprk.weebly.com !
Either a model show house or it belongs to to high class government
H I G H C L A S S
Why would it be a show house?
How do people in your government live like?
:)
those books and certificates shows it belongs to a very intelligent person who should very important for the regime's growth!
There is no such thing as class in North Korea
Using your logic, any country can be like North Korea, some live in poverty while the government people live in nice apartments
thanks. now please show us the real north korea house.
lerzan avşaroğlu lmao
yeah, this just screams North Korean propaganda intervention, they vet the few visitors they get so that they can only show what they let them see.
every single defector that escaped from there has all said the same thing, these videos are bullshit & not the real North Korea, if this was real then they wouldn't have wanted to escape so badly.
vıdeoları var yutubede .gercek kore nın ... ................. ..Bu evler parti mensupları ve elıtler içindir halk dokuluyor mısır prınç yemekten mıde fesatı olmuşlar
The one who's make propaganda is United States, just look every fking movie, and news. When something good came out from a country united States wants, it is propaganda
A brainless sheep you are
Typical westerner... First say nobody lives inside those building, then if somebody shows the inside view of rooms then say show us the real house... Just stfu already... Y'all are so brainwashed omg
people say its staged as if you wouldnt clean up your own house before someone films it
Sam Peterson where’s the beds for the kids? No toilet paper in the bathroom? Flush the toilet or press play on the paused Cinderella movie and see what happens.
Come on get real.
@@mindyschocolate Kids most likely share the same bed as parents or sleep on a traditional futon 이불. And you can clearly see the bucket with the mug on top of it. They use water for cleaning which is common is asian households.
Too neat snd orderly..must be the model home used for their propaganda videos
They were warned in advance that a camera crew will come in their apartment to record everything, so they had to clean and tidy everything up, I don't think it's like that neat and orderly every day.
Lol. And I hope you idiot are not the model of American citizens.
That’s exactly what I thought.
bottle1 lack I doubt anyone even lives in that apartment. It’s nothing more than a show home for foreigners to give a positive impression of the North Korean regime.
it is lol... they showed the exact same apartment w the same family pictures and everything in another video
Wait a minute... A Disney movie in a North Korean house?
propaganda
Alessandro Spinelli the elite in North Korea do watch western movies and are allowed things the rest of the country has no clue about. Even real internet is allowed to a small group. so depending on their social class it could actually be a real Disney movie.
Notice it wasn't playing. It was probably just a still screenshot.
Not even a movie. Screenshot.
NK has recently allowed western cartoons. But strictly controlled.
Gotta say, although it's a bit old looking, the apartment looks really nice! I really like the view outside the dining area, while seeing the bizarre but interesting architectures of Pyongyang.
And I'm not being sarcastic in any ways, I'm just contemplating their apartment.
It's a model house and fake.
It looks like my grandmas apartment
Who lives like that? Everything looks new? Not even used
The kids' rooms didnt have beds or did I just miss it?
They just sleep on the ground like Japanese did
Oh god... I was expecting something different but this is the same house spanish journalist visited and British did as well 2 years later. I already knew the house distribution. Anyone who goes to North Korea can ask to go see a "topical house", and they tell you they choose randomly but you always go to the same house, same chairs, same shampoos in the bathroom... so scary... they obviously hide their real life
Can u share that other video ?
the simpler, less conspiratorial answer? not a lot of families want a constant stream of foreign tourists inspecting their homes like it's a used car with the constant suspicion that they're all in on it and lying to everyone.
Hey share it
I think I've seen this same apartment in several North Korean videos.
fixpacifica xD
fixpacifica *I WONDER WHY*
Yes. Actually this same apartment was also shown in a Spanish documentary about North Korea with Alejandro Cao de Benos (a Spanish guy who works as a propagandist for NK govbt) as a guide. 3:12 this lady always appears as the householder of the apartment
@@GeneralMerc Yeah probably because she lives there lol
@@GeneralMerc staged
Where is Kim's and his fathers pic/ portrait on the wall?
Now show us the worst home in 🇰🇵
North korea

@@infinitasalo472
Also cars or tents where u. s. million peoples live because homeless.
NK: everybody has got his home, almost nobody has a car.
U. S. every body has a car, a lot of people have no home, Okey?
I have no doubt this condominium is "owned" by a minor party official. Not the typical poverty-stricken home -- the typical poverty-stricken home is likely a tiny, one-room apartment no bigger an average American bedroom, in which an entire North Korean family is forced to "live." And without most modern conveniences.
This is a literal luxury mansion compared to what the regular north korean has. This is what the elites apartments look like
I would guess not even any modern facilities and probably no proper sanitation.
This is not America...this is the DPRK where working classes have better living standards than govt officials...
ALL countries show their best, even US has worst, be realistic. I see normal successful people here, nothing wrong with that
This apartment belongs to a set of buildings that were handed over, free of charge, to university lecturers. In fact, in the video description it says that the apartment belongs to a university lecturer.
Except for the massive amount of poverty and disease outside of the 'cities.'
Was that "Cinderella" on tv 😆
I've seen hotels with more personality than this apartment. Completely staged, right down to the pic of the entire family looking and smiling at a kid by some water. And who lines everything up in a row on every desk and counter top? This is a model, nothing more.
Notice there was no toilet paper in the holder..
@@rocket7697 they would use water & soap i guess! many asian countries dont use toilet papers! thats not our culture!
@@rocket7697
Asians use water to wipe their private parts... Y'all westerner are so out of touch omg....
Thats either a very loyal lecturer or a very nice staged home. Shit looks like a show home, theres no clutter, nothing that looks like it's lived in. I have boxes around my room, a money box, books that are all over the place on my bookshelf. Nobody lives like that. They're model rooms for pictures.
I see what you mean.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Its obviously one of the nicest places but idk my home is about that clean.
Or maybe you live as a filthy pig who doesn't clean your house.
Clean your house you fucking bum. Doesnt matter what country don't expect everyone to be a pig like you
This must be the home of a worker engaged in some highly valuable work...such workers have very good living conditions in the DPRK better than even govt ministers...
everything looks shiny and new, like it's never been used...from the floor the the ceiling....All nice and shiny...now show us a real home..
This apartment belongs to a set of buildings that were handed over, free of charge, to university lecturers. In fact, in the video description it says that the apartment belongs to a university lecturer.
Broom, cleaning liquids and all other: *e x i s t s*
This home is not typical as it belongs to a highly decorated party member, as is seen in the video. He is a member of the elite. That being said, this is still a larger and nicer home than you will see among the elite in New York City.
Dixie Juche still sucks to be an Elite, if all you get is one bed to share between all the family members.
mindyschocolate ? There are clearly multiple rooms. And at least two beds in the video.
how about the houses outside the Pyongyang.
banzaiFTW Lol No houses outside Pyongyang I guess. Jus prison camps.
life outside Privilege city? Mud hut and bones for chopsticks.
Bro just look google and you’ll see that there are nice houses outside of Pyongyang as well and also you can watch video of people travelling outside of Pyongyang and you can see there are nice towns
@@spiritmayo Are you joking? 😂
@@123472724 your life is propaganda
Seriously, this house really doesn't looked lived in.
I've met some neat freaks before but even in their homes, you're bound to find dust somewhere or a few random things out of place.
It just bothered me how perfect the guitar was sitting there or how uniformly organized the bottles seemed in front of the mirror or how empty some tables seemed. Even the arrangement of every cup is too perfect.
That's because it's North Korean propaganda. In reality, nobody lives there.
bet the kitchenware has never been used.
That's not a house, it's a stage!
Exactly! 👍

Maybe if you are rich ... this is not a common home
Do you guys know why there’s a big blue containter in the kitchen? It’s for saving water. Even in this type of rich homes in North Korea have problem with water supply. Some ppl in the comment say this house is fake but right after I see that big container, I know it’s a real home for somebody. They wouldn’t even know that big water containers are not necessity in most of the homes outside their country.
Ah there’s an orange one in the bathroom as well.
When I went to China they showed something like this but reality is different.
I think it exclusively only for elite one.... For the ordinary north korean still live in the old apartments 😧
Atleast they got a house... Whereas in west, especially in states like Texas, Florida and California, whose economy is on par with some Asian nations economy still has 100,000 homeless people, and what ironic is that, most of those folks are "Veterans", who served the US army to preserve the "Capitalist Empire".
@@ozymandias6644 Fuck off, thats a fake house and America is way better than North Korea, they starve there
@@lordgrumbot167 You don't know nothing about North Korea lmao
Using your logic any country is like North Korea
@@kimilsung2608 Are you a troll? Because in America and other countries we have real houses.
Oh my! Did I see an encyclopedia on the shelf? How impressive!
It looks nice, but where are the actors that represent the family, and again let's take a look at a real home there.
A veneer for everything.
2:14-2:16 there's discolored water on the floor in the bathroom, I can't see a single sheet of toilet paper, and as the camera pans out the door to the left you can see where the hardwood floor... thin vinyl laminate, actually, does not follow what appears to be a hole in the corner of the actual floor.
Same flooring is bubbled badly at the foot of the bed in the early parts of the video. The dining room table is covered in thin laminate that I believe is actually intended for use as a non-slip shower flooring material. The wall trim is recognizable PVC foam.
If it's honest, then even the go-getters in North Korea are forced to make do with extremely basic, low-tier goods.
Where's the toilet paper?
0:53 the phone is plugged in to a hole in the floor under the chair
1:24 the wires for the television and DVD player simply run into a channel in the corner of the wall?
2:30 fan... unplugged.
3:05 Aha! Maybe... I've been looking for power outlets. Can't tell if that's one or not...
either the people living in this flat are extremely OCD or this is a model apartment
3:28 LOL.They have Cinderella😂😂
Oh yeah im very interested in you tours to see Northkorea and Pyongyang.

Are they allowed to put in granite countertops, hardwood floors, and paint the walls?
Yes or idk
I have high doubts over the real condition of Pyongyang tenements.
What a bunch of crap. Most live in dumps.

What is that red garbage can with red pot on top of it in the bathroom? Weird?!!!
how wide is the house?
That house is not lived in, I take that back, I saw a cut onion on the kitchen counter.

The bathroom has Dove brand soap! lmao i don't think this is a very ordinary house in nk..
wig snatched too bad they had no toilet paper. Someone should flush the toilet and see what happens.

Why is Cinderella playing on the tv in the apartment? I thought they weren’t allowed to have that?
is the apartment made of rice too
Anything that North Korean minders take foreign visitors to see should be regarded as "results not typical".
I want to check out that Casio Organ.
Thank You For Sharing This Video
3:30 wait, is that cinderella movie?
Looks like my granny's house here in the states .
Only $100.00 dollars a month....
HOW DID THEY GET A DISNEY MOVIE IN NORTH KOREA?!
Must be a state approved broadcast, Kim Jong Un LOVES Disney movies and even had the propaganda band put on a Disney themed play for him. Normally with THAT channel watermark, the totally popular series lovingly crafted by the almighty supreme leader Kim Jong Un: “squirrel and hedgehog” would be playing instead.
So Immaculately Clean, I don't believe it! At least there should be some chaos in the Kitchen.
They have DOVE SHAMPOO?
I like how the disney movie is just a still image
Just go back there and read the "pause" on the left side.
видно что квартира показательная для сми.
To all the experts on North Korea without even visiting one in comment section. Duh uh 🤦🏻♀️
The title of this video is incredibly misleading and deceptive
I'm sorry to anyone who doesnt realize that this is a fake apartment. In the sense that no one actually lives in the building.
@Proud SwCC Supporter Yeah it's real in a sense that it physically exists. But no one lives there and its set up to make tourists and foreigners believe that people actually live this well there. Have you ever even seen a documentary on North Korea? Do you have any idea how much they fake?

It seems legit but there are no portraits of Kim Jong-Il and Kim Il-Sung
their home is neat, big, beautiful, well organised, has good collection of house hold items and looks like any home other home in asian countries! and those books and awards shows what kind of intelligent person should be living in that apartment! no wonder they have given him these many facilities!
I highly doubt this home depicts the way most North Koreans live. I speculate that this is either staged ( propaganda) , or this home belongs to someone of significant importance. It's obvious that the owners, or stagers, were well aware in advance that this footage was being filmed.
dam these are clean people. my American house is filthy.
There's only one damn bed. Where do the kids sleep?

I have seen this flat in EVERY film from a tour in DPRK :)
That was an American Cartoon about Love ... I thought they were not allowed to watch those. Also why is there no fridge in the kitchen?
Wait, they’re allowed to watch Disney? 3:29
Nothing in this home looks used. The pots and vessels in a real home looks a little worn out. This is not a home. This is an exibition 😃
Precisely!
do they have a Mexican housekeeper?
I saw what a rich person house looks like in Dominic republic and it wa snit close to this i
