I love Powerwolf. Their whole gimmick is being vampires at night, and crusaders by day.. so it's tongue in cheek horror and religion mixed, They even call their live shows metal masses. I did love your facial expressions though.
They do have some crazy good songs out there. Would love to see you do more of them.

You say Heavy Metal is not your thing, but if you (and more people) knew the roots of Heavy Metal, I think more people would be into it. Heavy Metal's roots are two-fold...1) Classical Music. The instrumentation is clearly the Classical Music part. A lot of it is just Classical Music played with electric instruments. The 2nd Root of Heavy Metal is The Blues. And that's the vocal and lyric content element. You'll often find that a lot of modern (post-2000) bands will use quite a bit of atmospheric keyboard or Symphonic elements in their songs, and you'd be surprised at how well they go together. For great examples of this, check out the Folk Metal band, Feuerschwanz (translation: Fire Tail) Specifically their Live in Wacken - WOA 2022 (full show) performance. Their shtick is Medieval Punk, and they have a full time female violinist which adds a ton of atmosphere. They sing in German though, but that's not really that important. It's the music that's kick ass.

It NEVER fails! Americans reacting to Powerwolf and other European bands, like Rammstein, are shocked and scandalized by the content. Europeans reacting see it for what it's meant to be - tongue in cheek as with Powerwolf, or serious social commentary, as with Rammstein. It's no criticism, but it really puts the finger on the cultural differences between Europe and the US. Not last when it comes to religious themes. For (most) Americans, it's dead serious, while for most (!) Europeans, gods and demons are like werewolves and vampires, or Sith and Jedi. There are of course exceptions, but I've seen enough and some reaction videos where this pattern is very evident.

I thought the musicianship and vocals were better than average. I don't care for the theme of the video. I feel like the wholesome Nun being seduced by evil is overly saturated kind of an easy target. Your reaction is spot on.

I think it's the cathedral aspect of it. Takes away a lot of the crunch of metal and puts in melodic chants. But not flutey like orchestral metal. Just good ole God fearing Old Testament Brimstone.
If you like this one, listen to "Dancing With the Dead". It's actually better imo.
