Fasten your seat belts as we take a ride with TV Writer and Producer Dan Harmon and his cohorts on a 21-city bus tour across America performing the popular podcast, Harmontown. This funny and brutally honest documentary, directed by Neil Berkeley ("Beauty is Embarrassing”), provides a revealing look at the complicated character behind TV’s “Community” and “Rick and Morty”. Each new tour stop uncovers more Harmon (literally!) and provides intimate insights into his public persona and personal relationships. The supporting cast includes Jeff B. Davis ("Whose Line is it Anyway?"), Erin McGathy ("This Feels Terrible") and Spencer Crittenden, (Harmontown’s huggable Game Master).

everybody knows that things just got worse and worse after 2016, a switch was flipped that has never been un-flipped. nothing reminded me more that we are flesh, born to die and even stone will wilt and fade than the end of this show that had been with me at such a transformative time in my life. It was of its time, it couldn't have existed in this world now, if it were to come back it couldn't ever be the same. I learnt so much from Dan's way of thinking and communicating, I felt like Dan was figuring the same things out about the human experience but with an unfathomable honesty. He is not perfect but he had the mindset of a writer that realized any story we were all living, it survives on the notion that it ends with each of us getting better. It was right to end but man alive do I grieve. not just the hilarious podcast and Spencer, Erin & Schraab but the acceptance that we didn't make it to the moon. Things just got so bad, we lost and that's it. the end.
Thank you for uploading this I miss Harmontown and its community so very much.
Ahh. Now the reason I ate mushrooms on Easter, alone, comes clear. It was to find this documentary. After i dealt with the initial weirdness. Of course. Cheerios dan. Your work got me through a lot throughout the years. Especially lately. 2 years ago, at 34, I waa dignosed with cirrhosis. Was a goner, for sure. Today, never been healthier or happier. Thanks for being real. And real motherfuckin funny. And....yes, a genius. You egomaniac. Thank you for laying it all out, for the world to see. Eloquently. It really made a difference in the world. Love you, man.

Just so you know, Dan. If you ever read this (more than likely you are reading this right now). It's not about people just "connecting" with you. It's more-so, that people hear their inner voice say the things out loud, the social norms that stop us from saying what we truly feel in the moment. This gives us confidence to be more blatant and direct. It's a cathartic feeling for many people who would never even bother trying to say what they think at the time, it's the confidence to admit our own faults, that allows us to express our distain for the fault of others. That's just not something they teach in school.
Also, Spencer belongs with Dimension 20 on Dropout. That's his forever home. for sure.

This was my comfort film for a long time as a kid. I would watch this movie almost every night for probably 2 years. So excited to watch the extended cut after all these years.
Out of all the kids' films and all the great movies out there, this is the one. That is so goddamn sad lol.

I once saw a type of extended cut which included the Rick and Morty part but when I watched this on UA-cam in the past, it was no longer there. Wonder if this one is the same as the one on Netflix awhile back 🤞

I tried watching this when I was self destructing. Couldn't get through it. Maybe I'll try again now that life is a bit better. I remember it being a great production just resonated a bit to well.
