im not sure why i can't do this with almost maxed combat and same bowfa setup. i get tons of damage from minions.

Twisted bow is a 5 tick weapon so you can just follow the same method I outlined in the 5 tick portion of the solo section.

Yeah, it can be a frustrating requirement for an ironman.
On the "supporting" account, try using lunars with pot share and heal other. The support would wear max melee and a bgs with a lightbearer while having a full guthan swap on hand.
Method:
As zill spawns, pray magic and piety, let the attacker get one hit on zil first to gain agro, the support then specs zil twice with a bgs to try and lower her defense, after you dump specs let the attacker gain agro back. Swap to guthans to heal any damage you took as well as heal the "attacker" when needed. At this point you can take off protect from magic as all the minions should be attacking the "attacker". The "support" can basically keep piety on the entire time, due to having potshare, to help with healing from guthans as well as taking the mage minion out ASAP. At this point the attacker just runs around the room attacking zil. The support takes out the mage then range minion.
We start at the north west corner, as its furthest from the melee minion, and run south along the alters wall and continue in that direction.
Tips:
Zil's agro mechanics are weird. Sometimes you will get agro after the first BGS hit, sometimes you wont get agro at all. If you get agro on the first hit, just step under her and wait a few tics and then spec her again. No need to run away. if you do this properly, you'll only tank 1 or 2 attacks from zil, as well as minion damage, but you can heal all the damage you took off the minions with guthans. I have been stacked out a couple of times but we feel the increase in dps as well as kills per hour is well worth the risk. Shredding sara's defense levels makes some kills less than a single lap.
The attacker should always have a few brews on hand. The support will be the main source of healing but a panic brew is always good to have. He would usually be on ancients to be able to blood barrage any hp he is missing off the minions at the end of the kill. He has tried thrawls for the DPS, but they cant keep up while running around the room. We deiced they weren't worth the prayer.
The biggest thing to watch out for is Zil's mage attack. When you do this method long enough, there will be times where the attacker is low on hp, so you heal other them, and then a mage attack comes out. Heal other can get you below 20 hp, depending on the hp of the attacker as well as yourself, so if timing is against you, you can almost self-stack your self by healing other and then getting hit with a mage attack. Just be ready with a peach or some other food if you see a mage attack come out. As long as you eat a peach you shouldn't get stacked out. Zils mage max hit is a 20, and the heal other spell will leave you with a minimum of 25% your total hp. Do some math and see where that can leave hp wise you so you know what you need to eat incase this happens. It doesn't happen often, but it can be deadly.
Last thing to be careful of is respawning mage minion. Because we killed the mage minion first, sometimes it respawns before zil dies. If you are healing the attacker with heal other, this can put you low on hp throughout some kills if you don't get good healing from guthans. The mage minion can CLAP you if you don't have protect mage up (you are in full melee gear so mage attacks hit hard and accurate) so when it respawns, it may hit you a few times before swapping agro to the attacker. Be careful of this and pray accordingly. This can happen with the ranger as well, but you have decent range defense, so it isn't as worrisome.
The reason we do it this way is so that we can utilize the support as much as possible instead of just being a pack mule. You still keep the pack mule function, but now you can heal the attacker on command when needed as well as utilizing a defense lowering spec. Hitting 60+ with bgs spec will usually result is a kill that isn't even one lap around the room. We tried the ping pong method and it just wasn't for us. There was to much focus on; when to attack and when to run away. This method can have a wonky start assuming the bgs specs gains zils agro but after the attacker regains agro its just the normal hit and run around the room strat, except zil not has much lower defense (hopefully).
If you want to get sweaty bring a whip and defender. When you and attacker are full hp, swap to full melee with whip and defender to kill minions faster.
If anyone knows how zils agro mechanics work, please let me know. i can't find it anywhere.

No masoris why is masori mention so rare in most videos?? Bowfa armour is quite weak and taking with it is going to cost money. Masori would be better.
