It is refreshing to see the younger generation enjoy one of my favorite movies. Some notes: The Oracle said Neo was waiting for his next life, and that one of them was going to die. Neo did die, briefly, and woke up to a new life, a new level of awareness, fulfilling the Oracle's prophecy.

You just watched one of the best movies ever. It set the standards in Sci-Fi for the decades after!!! Beautiful story, awesome actors, awesome effects, everything.... It's a legend now.
So cool to see someone experience this for the first time, really going in blind! When this movie came out nobody had ever seen anything like it. Even with the increased use of wire work post-Matrix, there’s still nothing that compares. I haven’t seen it in ages and I’m impressed it actually holds up pretty well
I was so stunned by this movie when it came out in theaters, I went back to see it three days in a row. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!! Such a captivating story, brought to life in such a creative and dramatic fashion! The sets, the sound design, the music! I felt like I was watching a movie from two decades in the future! It was truly mind-blowing!!
I can't tell you how many back aches I had when I was young, trying to mimic the slowmo bullet dodging movement! 😂😂 One of the best sci fi movies, game changing for sure!
I still to this day remember the surreal feeling of walking out of the theater after the end of the movie. Could not comprehend what I had just watched. And to see that it still blows the minds of young audiences is incredible. This movie is pop culture.
Everyone forgets that when this movie came out, it didn’t blow up for about a month. There was no marketing campaign really and it took weeks for word of mouth of people being blown away by this movie. I was with a group a friends that went to the movies often and we met at the theatre to figure out what to watch. We picked this movie the first weekend it opened because no one knew anything about it… we were some of the lucky few that saw this movie blind and were completely mind blown. Loved your reaction because you had the same experience. Noice!!!!!
The chemistry between you two is what makes the reactions so good the love is so clear! Keep it up please 😊 I would love it if you did Matrix 2 at some point!
The Matrix always blow your mind the first time. Saw it at the theatre when it was released, I had a very similar reaction as you do now. It's one of the most unique movies ever made.
I love how new generations experience matrix... it's a movie that becomes more and more relevant. I saw it in cinema when I was 14 and it blew my mind.
Enjoyed this reaction, but was surprised that the other Matrix films aren't on your channel. With how amazed you guys were, I'm stunned that you didn't dive into the others right afterwards.
The Matrix was groundbreaking in so many different ways. I remember how people lost their minds back in 1999 after seeing this movie. Killer soundtrack too.
Movie has so many memes and quotes. It is one of my all time favorites. Switch saying "not like this.." when getting unplugged always is something I remember. As an '80s child, there is some movies that always stick with me. Jurassic Park, Independence Day, Men in Black, and The Matrix. We all love RATM at the end when Neo flies off lol.
I love how there are visual clues right from the get-go, like how, in the Matrix, there is a sickly greenish hue over everything like early computer monitors. When Neo enters the real world, the color balance is much more natural.
I remember seeing The Matrix for the first time at a friend's house in like 2004 or 2005. When Morpheus holds up the Duracell battery, the movie's twist hit me like a ton of bricks.
Yalls initial reaction to all the strangeness that was going on before neo was freed was PRICELESS 🤣 the same as mine when this first came out. Great vid you two lol

Here are some things about the Matrix and The Wachowski Sisters that you probably don’t know. All the Exits out of the Matrix are Street names in Chicago. The opening scene with Trinity in the motel room was mimicked so much that in the second movie(actually the third one, you should watch the Animatrix next because it tells the story of what happened)they did something so groundbreaking that has yet to be repeated in a movie to this day. Great movie and I loved your reactions.
It was not a true love kiss what revived Neo, it was the fulfilment of a prophecy, the oracle told trinity that she was going to be in love with someone, and that person would be the chosen one, when she kissed Neo, she fulfilled the prophecy and when neo chose to save Morpheus he did that too. GREAT REACTION!!
You two! That was among the best reactions I've ever seen...and I've watched countless reactions. 😆 You both were like me when I saw this for the first time in the theater in 1999. Your facial expressions were just priceless!
I love your reaction. This movie is definitely a classic and established Keanu as an action badass. There are so many things to pick through on these movies. Specially this one. One liners, philosophy, religion, etc. I love this movie from start to finish and the soundtrack is amazing. 👍💚 Thanks guys! Awesome.
This movie was so influential that when I went to college in 2001 they offered a philosophy class called What is the Matrix? It discussed things like existentialism, the nature of reality, and free will vs determinism.
Quick Physics: When Morpheus lands on the next building, he cracks the pavement. For the amount of force to do that, the pavement should have cracked as he jumped to the next building.
This movie was the reason I bought a DVD player back in 2000 (yeah, I'm old). It's a mind blowing experience for sure. Love the reaction! Side note, the John Wick reference before realizing Keanu was the star of this film was pretty epic! :)
I was 11 when I first saw the first matrix on VHS, it was 2001 :) The interrogation scene at that age gave me a childhood psychological trauma, I didn’t sleep for two days! Now I am 32 and I have not stopped loving this universe to this day)
Yessss! This is the best reaction video I’ve ever seen! I remember seeing this in theaters as a kid and the entire audience walked out almost in a daze, saying different versions of “holy shit that blew my mind”
The movie actually takes inspiration from a few sources, including the guy that said "I think, therefore I am," Renee Descartes. All the way back in the early 1600s he suggested that, since we sense everything and that is what we can tell about the world, and since our brains are what put all this information to (essentially) tell us what we hear, smell, feel, touch, taste, and see... and since we know that our brains can be fooled (illusions/tricks, false or mistaken memories, and even hallucinations -- seeing and hearing things that are not really there -- that perhaps it is possible that a demon has our brain in a vat and is stimulating our brains in a way that we "sense the world" and it is real to us, even though it isn't. It is very much like the machines tricking human brains into thinking what it is experiencing is reality. Really fun reactions!! Thanks!
I was 11 when this came out and it absolutely blew my mind. It has been a long time since I’ve watched the trilogy. You guys have made me want to go back and live the journey again.

better still is that both directors are trans, said that the red pill is allegorical for transitioning to your true self, and now a bunch of incel manbabies proudly declare themselves redpilled.

Great reaction, but nothing will ever replace me going into the Matrix blind with no expectations other than an action movie because I had nothing to do one random afternoon in 1999
Great thing to see this movie is still able to blow peoples mind so many years later. Saw it in cinema at release, it was something we've never seen before. It was a joy to watch you watch it and having so much fun. Thanks :)
I was a senior in highschool when this epic film came out. The sequence where Neo saves Trinity from the helicopter still holds up as one of the best action scenes I've seen in my life, and the reveal that he's the One. Damn good filmmaking.
I love this OG Matrix trilogy very dearly, and think you'll both thoroughly enjoy the lot! Even the Animatrix shorts will be well worth your while for your own viewing pleasure off-channel. 💚 ~I'd leave the 4th recent installment for a rainy Sunday afternoon if you fancy giggling at a Trainwreck, tho'.😉
The third movie and last of the trilogy was kind of lame especially the dying like a wounded blinded Christ like figure story drama. It's kind of a give me a break with that ending and the action in the first and the second was better including the Merovingian and his twin bodyguards as well as the fight with Seraph. Once it got down to a dead martyr ending with his lover I was choking on the sentimental drama of mortality rather than the victory through action of a super human savior Neo figure as the previous movies had set the standard for.

The best reaction to this movie that I ever seen on UA-cam. I hope you guys react to more action movies (that you haven't seen) from the 90s that probably everybody else already recommended, like Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions, Terminator 1/2, Robocop, Starship Troopers, Predator, Back to the Future 1/2/3, Alien 1/2/3, etc.
I love watching people react to that cold open. The introduction to Trinity is so perfect, leaving everyone asking questions and wanting more. Don't know a single better example in all of film.
You two are great. Love this movie and your reaction. Fantastic fun seeing someone who knows nothing going in. I've seen it many times. The White Rabbit and "I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes" are Alice in Wonderland references (you'll want to watch/read that story at some point.). You will notice more each time you rewatch like the oracle say he was waiting for his "next life". Now you will notice Matrix references everywhere, like Shrek. 😜
I don't think I've ever enjoyed watching a movie reaction so much. Such an honest reaction. This is one of the first Cyberpunk movies made and it set the standard for all the movies that followed.
Remember his prophesy from the oracle? "You're not the one. It's like you're waiting for something" he was waiting for Trinity. Her prophesy is that she would love the one. 😁

Love seeing the next generation being blown away by how cool this film is! Imagine the wow factor of the concepts when my lot watched it 20+ years ago!
...
Welcome, to the real world!...
For real. Also, dont say things like "20+ years ago" ok? i don't need the reminder nor the negativity.
@@KlevermoreReacts LOL, yeah, I mean, I was a young adult when I first saw this movie! Time since 2000 AD has just been a blur.
Your reaction reminded me of how we all felt in the theater. I saw it 3 times back in 1999. Still one of my favorite movies of all time.
This movie let you believe you escape the matrix but you are only going to a deeper matrix, Neo is in Freemason journey and he is going high were you will be torture in real life, 3 ranks of starlinks. 3 famous stars. If you are so high you will be able to go to a other world but they only have plans to torture you and to clone you, and that you will try to go higher in the ranking till your soul is able to steal. They real Truth is much deeper and darker.
You just watched one of the best movies ever. It set the standards in Sci-Fi for the decades after!!! Beautiful story, awesome actors, awesome effects, everything.... It's a legend now.
In 1999, at the age of thirteen, in the cinema, my eyes could not believe what they were seeing. My favorite movie of all time! 🐇
Great taste.
Same here.
Take a shot every time they say "that's craaaaaaazy" lol
14:00 Bender from Futurama "Wouldn't literally anything make a better battery? Like a potato? ... or a battery?".
The Matrix isnt a Movie, its a documentary. Its insane how relevant this movie still is today.
Allegory of platos cave
I love how there are visual clues right from the get-go, like how, in the Matrix, there is a sickly greenish hue over everything like early computer monitors. When Neo enters the real world, the color balance is much more natural.
This reaction was a blast guys. It was really awesome to see y'all put what was even happening together over the course of the first half

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I always love watching people react to it. Brilliantly done!
They are men
@@mdmaia91 They are sisters. You obviously didn't understand the movie.
Sounds like someone who's never had a true loves kiss
It was also a reference to Sleeping Beauty and Snow White though with the true love's kiss.
He only died in the matrix. Trinity's kiss in the real world made his mind/body realize that he wasn't dead there.
so, it was true love's kiss.
@@jerryward3311 That's what I thought it always was. His brain just says "Wait a minute... you died in a program, not the real world silly. Get up"
You two! That was among the best reactions I've ever seen...and I've watched countless reactions. 😆 You both were like me when I saw this for the first time in the theater in 1999. Your facial expressions were just priceless!
but u can watch movies urself 😅😅
The way these two react and interact, it's like they share the same brain... That's the cutest thing ever !
Awesome.
The tech you use, TV, Hollywood, and Music keeps you in the Matrix.
I wish I could watch this trilogy again for the first time! Sh*t was so mind blowing back in the day!
This movie was the reason I bought a DVD player back in 2000 (yeah, I'm old). It's a mind blowing experience for sure. Love the reaction!
Side note, the John Wick reference before realizing Keanu was the star of this film was pretty epic! :)
Man, those were the days. I'll say, my first DVD player was a PS2, haha
Yea that was pretty cool 😎
Thanks!
Drinking game: Every time she says "that is so crazy" take a drink. Nice knowing ya.
I was 11 when this came out and it absolutely blew my mind. It has been a long time since I’ve watched the trilogy. You guys have made me want to go back and live the journey again.
I also watch Matrix on a young age (maybe 10 year old)
After time goes I seen things and knew things thats changes everything and the movie recalling what I am about the day.

She didn't need to tell us she was confused, her expression said it all. 😂
Fun fact. The woman who originally wrote this also wrote Terminator and said that the terminator is a prequel to the matrix
better still is that both directors are trans, said that the red pill is allegorical for transitioning to your true self, and now a bunch of incel manbabies proudly declare themselves redpilled.
Fun fact: Sophia Stewart didn't produce any evidence to support these claims, so she lost in court. As a paralegal, she should have known that you have to provide evidence to back up your claims.
Not true. She is a fraud who lost those lawsuits.
@@mostmost1naw she won her money and rights to the story
@@thekingsson1757this is false. Why do yall pass on these urban myths when the truth is so easy to look up? James Cameron wrote and produced Terminator. The Wachowskis wrote the Matrix. That woman is a proven liar and fraud.
I remember watching this in the theaters and going home that night and lying in my bed wide awake for hours... AMAZED!
MASTERPIECE
Watching with people who have never seen this masterpiece before is a rare joy. Def check out the next 2.
Makes you wonder where they have been hiding not to know anything about it!
@@mikelarsen5836 ...they're in their early 20s and it's a 23 year old film. It's plausible that they wouldn't have seen it. I'm gonna look for more young ppl reacting to it. This was so much fun reliving it through their eyes lol

Have a drink everytime you hear the word 'Crazy' 😂
I remember when this movie first came out; it redefined what it meant to be an action movie.
I absolutely love this couple. So wholesome and somehow HOW HAVE THEY NEVER HEARD OF OR SEEN ANY OF THESE MOVIES AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM?!?! 😂😂It’s so PERFECT! I love them and their slot on reactions! Keep it up! they’re the perfect couple for this
Great reaction, can't wait to see more. Seems like you two often lean towards the action genre so I'm looking forward to the classics like "True Lies", "Leon (aka The Professional)", "Rumble in the Bronx", "The Fifth Element", "Die Hard", "Die Hard 3", "Terminator", "Terminator 2", "Edge of Tomorrow", "Rambo: First Blood", "Alien".. etc
The hallway shootout and helicopter with the falling bullets scenes were the gold standard for testing your home theater system back in the early days of DVD and Blu-Ray media.
Awesome reaction guys, from confusion in the beginning that got us all, then figuring it all out as it continued, this is the movie I've watched (approx. 12) the most in the theater by far, just my absolute favorite to sci-fi action thriller movie!!! Instant sub! 😃👍👏
Listen to me now..
I'm an older generation that was lucky to experience this movie in cinema (19 years old when it came out), so the impact that i got from the movie with my friends was even bigger then you can imagine. Exiting from the cinema was like watching people around and thinking "what if".. We were looking each other and didn't talk too much as.. so many thoughts of "what if"..
Let me explain.specter of
Great reaction, but nothing will ever replace me going into the Matrix blind with no expectations other than an action movie because I had nothing to do one random afternoon in 1999
18:17 - Trinity didn't "stand her ground" -- she ran.
It was so much fun to watch you guys go into this completely blind. Hope you react to the sequels.
I was 19 when this came out. It was a mind blowing experience watching this in theaters.
~I'd leave the 4th recent installment for a rainy Sunday afternoon if you fancy giggling at a Trainwreck, tho'.😉
@@maxpeck7382 Why spoil? Don't you understand Reaction channel etiquette? 😕
Yeah the new was trash
@@Cyborganna People discuss things in a comments board and this isn't even a stand alone posted comment on display but one that would have to be found inside another comment's thread. Why can't people start a thoughtful dialog on a trilogy they have seen? So everyone everywhere has to be watching out for a limited group of others who haven't seen something old when social media is meant to be a mix of people expressing their thoughts out loud online? I don't know how many people my one comment inside a thread will spoil for but it likely won't be that many. Sorry but I felt the need to express my sincere thoughts on the films in the moment was more important than observing some childish sense of manners and etiquette. btw...If in life you only have out of the way movie spoiler comments to get in a huff about then life I would say for you is pretty good.

I reacted the same way in 1999, inside the theater. Still my favorite film, hands down.
This is a great movie, too bad they never made any sequels. I bet they would have been great.

PS: please DO NOT SEE the 4th, it is so so bad.
Not gonna lie, I'm really starting to love your reactions, guys. Keep them up and the channel will go far :)
The best reaction to this movie that I ever seen on UA-cam. You guys look so shocked/surprised/blown away by every plot twist that brought tears to my eyes, it made me remember how I felt as a teen watching it for the first time back in 1999.
Exactly the same reaction that I had 😂😂😂😂 I am so glad you guys enjoyed the movie.
I love watching people react to that cold open. The introduction to Trinity is so perfect, leaving everyone asking questions and wanting more. Don't know a single better example in all of film.
Lovely watching this masterpiece!! Hope you guys doing great!
This was a GREAT reaction to a GREAT movie. The Matrix is one of the best movie ever made.
One of the most revolutionary movies of all time. A classic! But I am crazy and prefer Reloaded
I'm curious to know how many times "that's crazy" was said during this reaction
easily felt as the most surprising and mindblowing movie when it came out in 1999, when watching it in the cinemas. no mistake. Glad to see you enjoyed it too. Insane film tbh. Especially first film of the trilogy. Mad feelings in the theaters. can't describe it.
Luv it!! Cool channel, cool reaction! Always nice seeing the next generation take in this masterpiece. I remember seeing it in the theaters back in 1999 with a group of friends, who were all tripping on psychedelics. Their heads looked like they were gonna explode during the bullet time sequences. Good times!!
This came out when I was 17, saw it for the first time in college with a bunch of people. Melted our faces. I think this was our Star Wars ANH. Crazy that this is now older than that was when this came out.
Believe it or not there are 2 more Matrix films 😎 just sayin! Shoutout to you guys! You guys are awesome
3 more Matrix .Don't forget there is the new Resolutions . They tell one complete story.
One of the greatest film ever made! When it came out my friends & I went to see it at the theater almost every night because we knew it would never look the same on the small screen.
Really good. You made me feel like I'd seen it all over again. Now please part 2 and part 3. Greetings from Germany

Trinity’s kiss is what fulfill the prophecy because the oracle told her that she would fall in love with the One.
“You think that’s air you’re breathing now?” is a deadly line. 😎
