Out of the 3 leading ladies, who played opposite Elvis, although they were acting. Ms. Dolores Hart, came off more real. Her emotions, the look in her eyes as she glanced at him. There was something there. Comparing Ms. Hart, to Ann Margaret,or Shelley Fabre. Ms. Hart, you could say was . The girl next door. Not competing, with Elvis, but blending her acting talents with his. This is my husband’s humble thoughts. Thank you.
You're on the right track....she fell in love with Elvis during filming of the two movies they were in together. It shows, you're right. She was engaged to marry someone else, but couldn't go through with it.....not surprising as Elvis was a very beautiful and wonderful person, everyone else paled in comparison once one met him. Interesting though, Mother Dolores Hart does her best not to say anything publicly to that effect.
I fell in love with her the first time I saw her in those two movies with Elvis but now I love her even more for leaving Hollywood and it’s fake glamour for love of God. I admire her so much for leaving fame and fortune to become a bride of Jesus Christ and I hope that someday she may become a Saint. She will be young and beautiful when she enters heaven to meet her spouse our lord Jesus Christ
Mama mia! How gloriously beautiful she was! I especially liked the photo at 1:24 here. What a year that was: 1957. A number of us would have liked to have been able to "freeze" time in that year! We had Ike in the White House, lots of peace and prosperity.
