He was helping George cover up the truth because his wife, Sarah, was getting more suspicious over his affair with a minor. The doctor tried to put the boy into an orphanage, but when he saw her family's PI following him, he was forced to change his plans. He left the boy at Helen's parents, John and Mandy's doorstep and drove off. However, the plans still fell apart when Sarah's parents showed up at their home to tell them the truth about George's rape on Helen and the son they have. That's when John and Mandy regretted not listening to Helen supported her sooner by taking his word for it. The former doctor is arrested for aiding and abetting and is also put in jail like George.
