This took me back to my younger days, trolling all the thrift/secondhand stores looking for vintage stuff--always a joy when you find that special something you just KNOW was meant for you. 😂 Hope poor Kimmy got the circulation back in his legs after fighting that pair of pants--I remember accidentally grabbing a pair of jeans from the very back of my closet, spent a good 5 min trying to get them on and wondering why they wouldn’t pull up. I thought I just had them twisted up or something, but turned out it was a skinny-leg 29 inch waist pair from my MUCH younger days that had somehow been missed in earlier purges. As I am now firmly in the relaxed fit 38 inch waist category, it’s a wonder I didn’t give myself a hernia trying to pull those suckers on! Best In Show is one of our favorite feel-good movies, hubby and I have probably watched it at least a dozen times over the last decade. And the fact that we loved it so much led us to watch Schitts Creek, which is firmly ensconced in our Favorites list. And with Halloween coming up, it’s about time to break out our copy of Nightmare Before Christmas 🎃! Love these slice-of-daily-life vids, you are both so cute and funny, and your editing is so enjoyable and charming. I still often go in...Less lucky these days for clothes, but still good for music and books. And I love donating stuff I don't want/ need any more. @@RockyandKimball I was a teen in the late 70s, and I and my friends were punks, and at the time customising charity shop clothes and getting creative was a great way of self expression. Plus we had no money as well! Shop bought regular clothes in those days were so uninteresting. Finding old mens shirts and dying them, painting on them....a lot of fun. As to a favourite item... too many, but recently I got 2 lovely old soup plates in a soft pale green that remind me of my grandmothers kitchen and they remind me of her.

i am so glad there are people who do donate their clothes because they would definitely would not exist waiting on me; for instance i have a fav jacket since high school which i haven't wore for over a decade but then i found it and sewn an older canuck flag on the back and now i wear it constantly so i do like vintage but all my stuff is original also i do have black tight jeans i will wear again--i can pull them over my hips now but they haven't been able to fasten again but it will happen again if i have to buried in them
I'm kind of the same way. I really wear things into the ground. I also find I rarely try anything new or change my style. I'm kind of that way with the food I eat as well. The prices are all over the place, but it's affordable nonetheless. But, until they have sexy underwear and adult toys, I'm afraid their name is false advertising.

Addendum Funny, that 28 might fit me if it was a 34 length. Normally 26 or 27. But I found Uniqlo to have some models that fit, just that are always shorts... 😂

This took me back to my younger days, trolling all the thrift/secondhand stores looking for vintage stuff--always a joy when you find that special something you just KNOW was meant for you. 😂
Hope poor Kimmy got the circulation back in his legs after fighting that pair of pants--I remember accidentally grabbing a pair of jeans from the very back of my closet, spent a good 5 min trying to get them on and wondering why they wouldn’t pull up. I thought I just had them twisted up or something, but turned out it was a skinny-leg 29 inch waist pair from my MUCH younger days that had somehow been missed in earlier purges. As I am now firmly in the relaxed fit 38 inch waist category, it’s a wonder I didn’t give myself a hernia trying to pull those suckers on!
Best In Show is one of our favorite feel-good movies, hubby and I have probably watched it at least a dozen times over the last decade. And the fact that we loved it so much led us to watch Schitts Creek, which is firmly ensconced in our Favorites list. And with Halloween coming up, it’s about time to break out our copy of Nightmare Before Christmas 🎃!

For sure, Kimball and I count ourselves as very fortunate. We grew up in Idaho. We were still quite free back in our teens but definitely a bit more guarded as it is a very conservative state. But we’re so lucky to live in this day and age where we can be who we are. I mean, we would be that way anyway, but at least we don’t have as much judgement or persecution.
How was it up north? Everyone we met when traveling up there seemed quite accepting l, but that might just be our perception and not the reality. Or maybe they’ve warmed up over the years a bit?

I still often go in...Less lucky these days for clothes, but still good for music and books. And I love donating stuff I don't want/ need any more. @@RockyandKimball I was a teen in the late 70s, and I and my friends were punks, and at the time customising charity shop clothes and getting creative was a great way of self expression. Plus we had no money as well! Shop bought regular clothes in those days were so uninteresting. Finding old mens shirts and dying them, painting on them....a lot of fun. As to a favourite item... too many, but recently I got 2 lovely old soup plates in a soft pale green that remind me of my grandmothers kitchen and they remind me of her.

My grandmother grew up in England. Growing up, I always spend weekends with her watching British TV shows on PBS and playing card games. i am so glad there are people who do donate their clothes because they would definitely would not exist waiting on me; for instance i have a fav jacket since high school which i haven't wore for over a decade but then i found it and sewn an older canuck flag on the back and now i wear it constantly so i do like vintage but all my stuff is original also i do have black tight jeans i will wear again--i can pull them over my hips now but they haven't been able to fasten again but it will happen again if i have to buried in them
I'm kind of the same way. I really wear things into the ground. I also find I rarely try anything new or change my style. I'm kind of that way with the food I eat as well. I find things that work for me and then just keep doing it.
I want to see a picture of this jacket from high school with the Canuck flag sewn on it ^_^

👔👕👚 This was a great challenge, indeed. I wish there were more charity shops where I live, but it seems as if Austrian men just wear their clothes until they cannot be worn anymore. I basically have to retort to Vinted if I want to get vintage pieces.

For sure, I feel there are certain parts of the world where people just wear their clothes until they turn to dust. I'm actually kind of that way. I tend to find the thing I like and keep buying it over and over again, but I wear them until they're pretty worn. Although we do still donate them, so I kind of feel bad for passing off such well loved clothing LOL.

Oh how fun! Do you ever find yourself visiting Aylesbury anymore? We actually love it here but I know many people we've mentioned it to are like, "Ugh, why do you live in Aylesbury." But then I explain that we lived in Baltimore and had a drive by shooting outside our house so Aylesbury is amazing to us. LOL
There were definitely some suit options around, although I didn't catch the pricing of anything as I buy a new suit once every 10 years or so. 🤣

Oh the Curtain Exchange was a good spot! Who doesn't like a good used curtain! :o) I wanted to mention carpet in there but withheld.

OH YES, every time I walk by Poundland I just imagine it being a gay club in West Hollywood. But alas, it's just bargain shopping at a fraction of the cost of the competitors. Actually, it's called Poundland, but there aren't actually very many things for a pound in there. The prices are all over the place, but it's affordable nonetheless. But, until they have sexy underwear and adult toys, I'm afraid their name is false advertising.
