I live in Chicago, but was born and raised in Los Angeles and there was a Lucky Boy in South Gate on Firestone. My dad took us almost every weekend to eat Lucky Boy’s burgers. The burgers were so big, me and my brother would share one. My sister never finished hers and afterwards we would play the Ms Pac-Man arcade. It was the highlight of my weekends back then. The restaurant location is gone now, but the memories live on. I love this restaurant. Hope it doesn’t disappear.
3:22 "My reward for working hard"!! hell yeah!! I was tearing that chicken burger up lol Thanks Burgerist and Christina for getting me in there at the last minute lol Awesome meeting you guys!!
Weekends in middle school I'd accompany my dad for late office work blocks away, and play hoyle and skifree on windows 98 office terminals, once it hit 9, he'd stop by here with me, and as a fat kid I loved getting the double pastrami burger, biggest single burger Ive ever seen for sale at that age, Never knew the breakfast was their landmark sell item, gotta try that out.
Need your help out there. Does anyone remember a giant neon boy sign in El Paso say around the mid 60's? I was 8 and vaguely remember it. Thanks lived in Fort Bliss at the time
Lucky Boy has to compete with Tops Burger, The Hat, In N Out and the chain fast food places: McDonalds Burger King Carls Jr Wendy’s Jack In The Box and Smash Burger and the Habit Grill ❤😊🍟🌈🍔

I lived down the street right across from the middle school and their chili cheese Fries were out of this world. The one in Pasadena is not the same.
