As a Pixel fanboy, I appreciate your honesty here. I admit Samsung has better hardware but Google's software is what keeps me loving the Pixel phones. I'm currently on the Pixel 7 and plan to upgrade to the Pixel 10 Pro XL next year. Can't wait!
I will have a Pixel 8 Pro vs Pixel 9 XL video dropping next Friday, so subscribe for more 😎 I love my Pixel phones. Nothing better than that vanilla android experience!
Interestingly I have both S24 ultra and pixel 7 (need a separate work phone so have to carry two phones). Pixel 7 with all the updates etc is simply awesome and I am also waiting for pixel 10 because Google is going to use TSMC chips in pixel 10 which should be a major upgrade. Pixel 9 vs 7 not too much different other than a couple of mostly superfluous AI features IMO.
As a fellow Pixel fan, I 100% agree. Samsung hardware is typically a step ahead from the build to S Pen integration to the screen, internals like RAM, modem and the main chip, etc. Just a bit more polish and on the same level as Apple, sometimes beyond Apple, with hardware. Their software also is pretty good, very fluid and thoughtful so not surprised that they both get more sales all things considered. But Pixels are by far the smartest phones. Going back to use other devices feels like a step back in capability.
@@Dartanon Google should work on pricing. They have inhouse CPU/SOC and much cheaper modem but they still charge more than Samsung (as Samsung offers a lot more promotions). If Google fixes pricing they will outsell Samsung easily IMO.
I wanted to compare the P8P with the S24U because even though I will be comparing the P9P to the S24U, the real comparison will be to the S25U. Samsung releases their devices in the beginning of the year and Pixel at the end (this year was a little earlier though). Thanks for watching and subscribe for more! I will be comparing the P9P and the S24U very soon here.
Nice to get this comparison as all the initial glitches/bugs have been fixed by the devs and these phones go on sale as the newer phones hit the market
I am very impressed with the Pixel 8 Pro. I have had the 9 Pro XL for a week and I still find myself admiring my 8 Pro. I will have a 1 week review dropping on Friday, so subscribe for more and thank you for watching! 😎
By watching this video I find it very informative and factual because you have been using both for a long time. Next I can watch any video that compares both phones to new Pixel 9 Pro XL and see if anything worth bothering about has changed in the in very very expensive new version of Google Pixel Pro 9 XL Heptic feedback sound test was spoiled by musical accomplishment over it. By the way, I couldnt hear the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultras' Haptic Feedback test result in that individual and - unique to you Haptic Feedback Quality of audio of it test you made here.
I have my 1-week review of the Pixel 9 Pro XL coming this Friday. Spoiler - keep the 8 Pro if you are happy with it. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more 😎
Thank you! I am one week in with my Pixel 9 Pro XL - I have an initial review dropping next Friday. I would say yes, as of right now. But I think price is a huge consideration. With the release of the new 9 series, the 8 pro can be found SO CHEAP on used websites right now, so I think the 8 pro is still the better buy in 2024. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more! 😎
Pixel 8 Pro can be found way cheaper on used websites for around $500. If price were a high enough factor, I would pick up the P8P with zero hesitation. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more 😎
I have the 8 pro a galaxy and an iphone , i dont mind the 8 pro , im one of those ones that finds the finger print sensor to be a pain in the ass , it is so inconsistent to the point i have enabled the pin pattern , and matey i think you where being a bit generous when you said the Face ID on the pixel is not as good in low light , mate its bloody useless 😂. I have big hands and fingers and the keyboard on the pixel and probably the slightly narrower form factor , i just find it a chore to type on , and the keyboard itself , i find it better on both my galaxy note and iPhone 14 Pro Max just better in operation , i have the optional high contrast keyboard on my note which is quite good and easy to see if your an old fart with so so eyes. On the s pen i do a bit of building work and scribbling down a piece of material or an idea on using the quick note feature of the note is just awesome , for those that dont know , you pick up a note or ultra and just pull the s pen out without even turning the phone on the note screen comes to life ,you scribble on it what you want and put the S pen back in the silo and it automatically switches off and saves your image/note to your notes , and next time you go to your notes it will be first in the line . I still think the iphone is a touch better , i had both my pixel and iphone recently on a country run and was in an accident , the copped an impact , i got out of the car , and had a look and got back in the car to turn the engine off , and the iphone had rung emergency services and they where asking if i needed help , i was ok and thanked them , they took my name for records and hung up , the pixel on the other hand just detected an impact and left a button on the screen saying have you been in an accident . A minute later a family member sent me a message asking if i was ok , the iphone sent a message saying it had detected an impact and sent my location , that gave me a new appreciation for the polish of the iphones important basics. This is only my second iphone ,i have had 8 android phones , so im not biased , but i like the practical no nonsense quality of life features. I still think the 8 pro is a good phone , but i carry the 14 pro max.
You know you can adjust the keyboard in settings right? Lmao. I have fat thumbs and no issues. You might have a defective unit my finger print sensor works 9.5 times out of 10.
I have had my 9xl for a week now and an initial review is coming out this Friday. I will be comparing it to the S24U and iPhone 15 PM in the future. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more! 😎
S24 Ultra > S23 Ultra > iPhone 15 Pro Max > Pixel 9 Pro XL > Pixel 8 Pro And the Pixels aren't fluid, they are just fluid in terms of the gesture of returning to the home-screen, otherwise in applications and especially in vertical scrolling, they are horrible, and lag like no other. 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️

Definitely a fair correction. I plan on picking up some devices that aren't used in the US and reviewing them, but that will be as my channel grows. Thanks for watching and I see you are already subscribed - thank you so much! 😎

Why you compare old 8 Pro and not 9 Pro XL?
