Im glad that AM developed a new engine by themselves, the engine is the heart and Soul of a car, at least in the pre-electric age. Hope it will last a few more years.
It sounds terrible to be honest. It is a turbo that really has to be pushed to get any type of noise out of it. He was going fairly fast at times but it sounded like a ford focus (I am exaggerate).
The primary, and one of the only things Aston Martin borrowed from Mercedes was their marvelous infotainment system, which is miles better than the old AM system.
The money you save from lower insurance rates can fit back there. The extra suitcase your friend/wife/etc brings because they can't pack smart can fit back there. The bread, fruits, and eggs from your weekly/monthly grocery shopping can fit back there... so they don't get crushed.
It's the US man not Germany on the autobann. I know because I lived over there. They don't have speed limit except in certain spots so yeah you can gun it no problem. Speed limit in the US. Reckless driving is expensive. I learned the hardway my younger years.
I don't get the interior of the DB11. They should have updated it technically with Daimler stuff and left the rest like it was. I mean, that looked sooo much more stylish than this. I also think the manual should make a return for MY2018
the car computer has a port you can plug into and d/l 2 weeks of driving speeds and braking on a lease company car as fleet managers tool or service manager can issue them a report so a sales or dealer demo isent abused.
not that I can conceivably afford one of these any time soon, but can the db11 or astons in general fit big guys? I'm 6'2 and close to 250 lbs. not sure if there is enough space/leg room from the video.
Love the design and the new turbo V12 sounds alright but it will never match Aston's Naturally Aspirated V12. I'd take a Vanquish over this any day just for that sound.
That's the problem with modern Turbo engines you have to really trash them to try and get a response from them also they are just too fast for the roads. There is no way you will get anywhere near its potential. Naturally aspirated engines are far nicer to drive.
Saw a dark grey one last night damn this car is sexy af (and really fucking expensive thanks Turkish government) (why do we need to pay fucking 690 thousand *EUROS*)
He probably has driven lots of fantastic sounding American cars and when he steps into a euro turbo car he finds out it does sounds as good as a NA car. So the solution is to do shifts to try and get a better sound otherwise he would have to really open the car up and massively break the speed limit to get into the higher RPM's.
