    I have several tools that came with a crank. I have since made a wheel of the same diameter. It helps making a more consistant preasure. I have a cheep roller now but plan on getting a Pepe Mill as soon I as I can. I think the combination mill like you showed first would be my best choice.

  • @richm368
    @richm368 2 роки тому +1

    Why pickle after annealing, if you'll be annealing again before soldering? I am unsure about when to pickle. Which is a fairly funny sentence taken out of context, but true non the less. Not trying to criticize what you're doing, just wanting to understand why you're doing it.

    • @GomeowCreations

      I do it any time I heat the metal or use flux to clean it off. If you have any spots that have oxidation than the solder will not flow or stick. Seeing that I was twisting the metal I didn't want to risk that.

Second, smelt remaining scrap either on a charcoal block (or make balls that way), in a charcoal or China crucible, pour into an ingot block and then use the resulting ingot to produce sheet or wire with your rolling mill. There are plenty of videos. I love the Indian ones. At the start of every gold/silversmithing video you’ll get to see the process from start to finish.
