I think Hollywood would have to face the responsibility for many broken lives and careers during "cancel culture" era just like they did with McCarthyism. It's still not exactly "Good Night and Good Luck" for the wokies, but this film really tries to be nuanced and balanced... They are dropping real life names on the screen, but it's so obviously inspired by Kevin Spacey's downfall that I'm surprised that his name is not mentioned more often in the discussion about the movie. Loudly - that is - maybe it's another "open secret" behind the scenes. They've really just switched the gender, beside it's everything else there - from the "red-haired victim", his artistic position, his character traits or flaws, his obvious mobbing tendencies, his paranoia to Cate's acting style borrowing heavily from him. I've found this film fascinating and the performance deserves all the accolades...
