"In this brief clip, R.C. Sproul explains how the ancient philosopher Plato answered this question." Did someone forget to leave in the part where Dr. Sproul actually explains the how? Because it isn't in this brief clip. In this 5:21 long clip, he explain "that" Plato answered the question, but he is cut off before he gets to the "how".

Right lol you can't explain Plato's theory of forms in 5 minutes lol. Really for someone who has never read or studied Plato, this short clip explained almost nothing at all lol

Agreed. Someone dozed when selecting this segment of Dr. Sproul’s. teaching. Standing alone, it almost sounds as if he was trying to impress or entertain listeners with mental chicanery. As well schooled and intelligent as he was, he never did that and always developed his teaching in an understandable and self deprecating fashion which glorified God and aided our knowledge of Scripture.

@@bparrish517 I've never read Plato or Socrates. I know Paul debated the Stoics and Epicureans of his time. I never took philosophy in college. My degree was in science so I'm clueless. If you want to know about the body, the immune system, anything biologically, physiologically, even pharmacologic that's me.

I hope they add more videos.

Plato is the one that really popularized the pagan concept of the immortal soul, and most Christians still believe it to this day.

@@sergdamian1324 He wrote none of them but his philosophy is still very present with Christians. Plato says everyone is immortal. Scripture says that God only is immortal and gives immortality as a gift to those in Christ.

@One Good Lord † News That’s found nowhere in scripture. That’s from Greek philosophy. Scripture says God alone possesses immortality and gives it as a gift to those in Christ. Scripture says the wicked will be consumed, destroyed, consigned to extinction, vanish, be no more etc. God Himself says directly from His mouth, “the wicked will be ashes”.

This channel is like ordering a salad 🥗 that May look good in the menu option but finding out it has bacon 🥓 on it and is no kosher at all, what do you do throw the whole thing away or pick the bacon bits out well that is an individual question but how can you decide if you are so away from ABBA’s Torah

this comment is far removed from making sense, idk.
The mention of the Torah makes me think that this guy is Jewish or something.
Also, if I bought a salad, and I later discover that it has bacon in it addition to the veggies, I'd be extremely happy, not angry. And then I'd eat there every time, because there's not a lot of places now that has bacon on their salads...
Let's just makes this comment section as confusing as possible.
