Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Very helpful.
Really appreciate you making these beginner-friendly videos to help us overcome the learning curve of this amazing software!
Thanks for making this video! I was so confused on how to do anything as I just got the program with an MPK Mini. I could tell this program was super versatile but there's so much information right away, I was starting to feel overwhelmed. I was about ready to returning everything but this was really helpful and easy to understand!
Thanks, Matthew. Love your videos. Always so concise, well organized and informative.
I appreciate that!
thank you soooo much your actually going over things nobody else is XD
Your MPC Beats TUTS are DOPE Matthew. I really didn't think I was gonna get into this MPK Mini and I can also use the software with my Korg Trinity Controller (kinda Old)and it works fine. Keep it movin!!
thanks man! the way you explain makes everything clear for me
Thanks Matthew for sharing. You have saved me lots of hours by simply showing me how to load drum samples into MPC using expansion, media and file browsers!
Thank you very much for your work Matthew! It is greatly appreciated
Awesome channel by the way. Very easy to follow and learned so much. Many thanks
Awesome! Very informative! Great info about layering on pads.
Though I already knew how to do this. I am so glad I came across this tutorial! It helped me locate my first Homemade Drum Program for the MPCs that I made in back in 2020!
Thanks Matt! You still holding it down! 🤘🏽😎💯
I've learned so much from your videos. You are an awesome teacher!
YES!! Great video. Thank you 🙏 all these online content videos really help a complete novice to get where I want. Many thanks from a fellow front line healthcare worker dude!!
You're welcome. Glad it helps. Stay safe.
Your channel is great and I learned already a lot. Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Great tutorials, I'm new to MPC Beats, I just downloaded it to experiment. I have a Presonus Studio One and Protocols background, and I've been fortunate enough to release 11 studio albums worldwide. I'm a DJ Premier fan, and he does some serious production using the foregoing. Again, overall great videos, no fluff just work. And no, I'm not going to spam your channel :)
Christopher

Yeah, makes things a bit easier to manage. You can set the levels for each of them too. You're welcome
Muchas gracias ❤
I have recommended that AKAI hire you exclusively to do their videos. I still have no soumd, but I know eventually i will learn from you.

Hello, can you help to make a video on combination of drums and key board. I bought Akai mpk m3 newly and I don't know how to play drums and keyboard together
is there a quantize function in this unit so as to maintain consistency in tempo...and then maybe change the entire tempo as well? thx for video...great lesson!
At the top of the screen there are the letters TC that stands for Time Correct. That is how you turn quantize on and change the time divisions.
Hello and congratulations for the videos. I write drums in the program, but nothing appears in the menu below. Thanks from Italy.
Peace bro!
Thanks
Hi will you be able to drop multiple sounds like the traditional mpc studio or any other mpc on one trigger pad(4 sounds)? Thanks
Hi Matthew. Hope you are well. Please are you able to help. I was wondering is it possible to connect the Akai mpc x to Denon DJ MCX8000. I want to be able to listen to the mpc x through a channel on my mixer. My passive speakers are currently powered through an amplifier and so too is my mixer. I'd appreciate if you could give me some advice on which leads to use and also if it's possible to connect the mpc x to a mixer via an amplifier or will i need to buy some active speakers. I've tried midi out from Akai to Denon RCA line in but didn't work. Many thanks.
5 thumbs up
I just downloaded Mpc beats and my drum grid is smaller than yours is in your tutorials, how do I make the window bigger ?
Looking to buy an expansion from akai mpc beats....I need traditional acoustic drum sounds.....which expansion do I get.....?
Is there a video on making and saving samples on an MPC live where you can use them in other tracks to build?
I haven’t made a video like that yet, but that is a great idea.
Would also like a video on this in the future :)
Good Night I just got a MPC X SE trying to take sounds from and other drum machine to add and assign pads on the SE but don't no hw to get it done,, can u assist me in dat
Is it possible to save the color of your pads within the kit? I've tried but seems like it's not reloading the colors when I reopen the kit
How do you do the project preview? Whenever I do it no sound plays
I have the Akai MPD232. When Im in MPC Beats standalone and do what you did with note repeat, I dont hear the instrument in the pad and dont have note repeat happening. I wonder what thats about
Hey Matthew....I trust your judgment. I'm waiting on my an MPC one to be delivered but I'm having 2nd thoughts about my purchase. Thinking I should've saved more and got the Live 2. Talk me off the ledge please
The MPC One runs the same firmware as the MPC Live MK2. If you don't plan on travelling and using the a built in speaker, using 6 outputs, or using the MPC to control Ableton Live....you are fine. I love the MPC One.
@@MatthewStratton Thank you very much indeed. I can't wait to bang out...been using iOS devices for production as of late but wanted a different feel so. Thanks again
I was looking for that new content, where have you been?
Got a lot of stuff going on. Have to handle my life. Thanks for the comment.
@@MatthewStratton take care 🙏🏾
hi, i got my drumpads on my alesis v25 mk2 to work, but struggle to get the keys to play, can you kindly help me?
Hey know this is a stupid question,But can you still use your Mpc one + with this program?
Hi Mattew, do you use the KOMPLETE KONTROL S25 MKI it in 2021? Is it compatible with all in 2021? I thing about Mac M1... and all plugins in 2021...? Thank you
I have an audio interface that isn’t compatible with MAC M1 so I haven’t looked into it further. So I really don’t know.
hey bro greats videos, how can i set th knobs from my hardware to my software ??... because sometimes it does not work, i use mpk mini 2
That can be a few things. I made a troubleshooting video. Have you seen it yet? Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/SNssRRYp8nI/v-deo.html
@@MatthewStratton Thanks Bro it works!
@@juliocesarromerotorres2975 Nice!
can you how us how to set new sounds ? i mean when i download from internet new vts of plugins... i dont know how to do that on the akai mini, actually i am a beginner doing beats, but i play the guitar for a while.
hello can I add .xpm non official extensions into MPC BEATS ?
How dobyou get the keyboard at the bottom mines on the side
I have 222 Like! Yeah! I start my Play on MPC Beat and i love that RAW! Meyby i record any film ...
When I press the pad it's not the same as the one on mpc beats could you help me?
Hi Mike!
I can’t figure out how to mix samples within one pad. Say i want to layer 3 snares for example and be able to mix them, so that one of them is the loudest and the other two are very quiet. How can i do that?
On the top of screen click the four squares to go to program edit. The make sure you select the pad. Then you can see a spot at the bottom of screen that says sample layers. There are four layers and you can control the pitch, pan and level for each layer there.
Hi Matthew! Can MPC beats create a finished track or just samples for other DAWs?
You can make a finished track in MPC Beats if you want to. There is a song mode. Keep in mind there is a 8 MIDI track and 2 audio track limitation with the free version of MPC software.
@@MatthewStratton Thank you.
How can import my old libraries (DRUMS KITS) TO my Mpc live 2 ? I have a lot folders help me :(
I'm still stuck on random events tho I bought the mpk mini 3 with my last cash
then, how can i add piano assign to my midi?
how can you upload your own sample file into the pad
Hey Matt can't seem to loop my sample perfectly, but I only have mpc live 1
MPC Live 1 is just as able to sample as the MPC Live 2 or software. You need to learn to count the beat of the sample, then you can chop it in time if you want and then you have a few options like time stretch or pitching in sample edit. There is a bunch of stuff you can do.
Matt I truly appreciate it, I wish you blessings my friend, thanks for taken time to reply, I am one of your biggest fan , I also share your video 📷 with all my beat making friends , thank you
is there a way to delete a program from the file browser. when re naming my programs after they are complete, it is saving a copy of the old and the new (duplicates) and i cant figure out how to get rid of the older program. thank you
In the actual browser? If you look at the top you can see the File directory. You can actually click on that and past it into a Filer Explorer in Windows to see your actual files if you want to delete something from your computer. If you mean in the project, you can right click and just delete the program out of the project.
@@MatthewStratton i did not notice that button for some reason thank you for advising!super helpful. Your channel is great btw. Thanks again for heads up
Can’t find the kits…then it says the expansions have to be paid for on the website, how do I get them for free does anyone know?
There were downloads in the email I got when I signed up for the free MPC Beats software. Check your email that you used to sign up for MPC Beats
Hey I have a question and I'm pretty it would be nice if someone helped me,
I'm trying to delete old project I made on MCP and don't know how does anyone know how or has a vid they could send me to watch.
Hey Matt can't seem to match my sample to tempo or the bpm , any tips 🆘
There is a bunch of stuff you can do in MPC Beats with samples! If you trim your sample to an even number of bars you can time stretch it in sample edit to match the bpm of your project. Or, you can use tap tempo (TAP button at top of software) to try and match the bpm of your project to the sample. You can change the pitch of the sample in sample edit until it matches the speed of your project. To name a few....
Matt you think I could do it with standalone mode
You have the beat videos on the MPK mini, but i'm stuck. My auto button.is not making a drum sound. I don't know what to do. Probably because of the absolute garbage video i was trying to follow. Do i need to factory reset or what?
I don't hear anything at all
