Yes same here, and the cab glass was clear and the metal frame was yellow. I also had the Grader, Bulldozer, Tractor with back hoe, Loader, and Scrapper.
Got to love tonka, as rusted as it was and still works, mine was run over by my fathers '98 F350 and all it has was a bent box side, still have it today and still works fine
I have so much nostalgia for those cast iron tonka trucks I got one when I was younger and do did my brother and so did his son. Its family tradition and I'm planning on carrying it on with my children in the future .
Give one to your daughters too! I would steal my brother's Tonka truck and have my barbies ride in the back and stuff...I had so much fun but never had one of my own
The So Called Indestructible Truck 😄 my Younger Brother had one many many years ago had it destroyed In 2 days took it apart the 1st day. Cool Restore. Thank you for sharing.

I am in awe of your ingenuity and your creativity. I liked the way you tossed all those parts into a clothes washer to clean them! Must have been really noisy. Great job and an interesting video
When I clicked on the video I knew exactly what this was! It’s a 1980’s Tonka toy dump truck original yellow paint and green windshield and the generic Tonka logo. I was born in 2004 and my brother was born in 2011 and asked what this was. This video brought tears to my eyes bc I remember having every Tonka on the market. Thank you for bringing back the best part of my childhood.
When I was a kid in the 70's the windshield was clear or smoke. then in the 80-90's's they made these green and orange. Glad to hear they went back to the yellow ones.
Good job on the restoration... I see a lot of criticism in the comments but it looks good. I am still horrified that Hasbro (when they bought Tonka) took the all metal Tonka truck and turned it into plastic and really thin gauge metal but you did a great job making it like new again.
Absolutly a fantastic job! You have some perseverance! Plus use of just basic tools hard work elbow grease.Your video Illustration production is great! Thank you for sharing the work you do very Inspiring!!!!

I have the same tonka truck metal pretty old just really dirty and wet your vid is making me wanna clean it and i will thanks i am going to clean and fix mine
I remember when that truck was all metal, but the tires. Great job. I enjoy watching you work. Thank you
Fantastic restoration. Had a similar one from early 1970's, only notable difference was the cab "glass" was clear.

I’d much rather be doing this than my regular job. 😩
Awesome work!
We had this and a dozer in our sandbox circa 1969. Good to see this one back. Well done.
До конца не досмотрела, музыка за кадром мешает !
never realised how weird a new tonka truck without rust would look! (Any tonka truck i saw as a kid was always beginning to deteriorate lol)
Good to see you work the old way!!! Everyting you do, you do by hand, no sandblasting, compliments!!!!
What is sandblasting?

A very beautiful thing. Thank you for this very classy work. You are a fountain of creativity. I wish you more brilliance, my friend.
When you save a toy. You save a part of the child you were. And still are.

Considering what you had to work with, this restoration is astonishing!
Great Work!!👍
I would love to have one of these ready for a zombie apocalypse.
Amazing as always. the only thing I would have changed is the exact pipe to silver.
You do great work I think you need a small bead blaster for those rusty parts and a polishing wheel fort your grinder
Real tough toys for real tough boys.
Great work and also I love the HEAVY music!!
Tonka!!!
My GOD!
Unbelievable!
WoW.
Amazing job guy. 👍
Hello Friend. It was very good. Hugs from Brazil.
Well, this video made me realize, I am used to seeing Sand blaster, powder coating and
nickel plating
Washing the plastic parts with towels in the washing machine was awesome
I think this person makes the reverse process to restoration then makes restoration LoL. Great Job anyway
🤣
😒
I think the person buys two identical toys, keeps one saved and let one outside on purpose and uses some pieces of the new one to restore the old one
