This was Spence's best ever game for us tbh. He was amazing! Forster was crap. We either need to give Austin or Whiteman a chance or we need to get a new keeper in the next window. He may be great in the dressing room but he isn't good enough as a keeper. He made some fantastic saves but you could tell his quality after your first goal. No prem keeper should switch off like that
Forster has been quite good with his feet prior to this game. His confidence is probably shot but he's an experienced player and has to bounce back. Obviosuly there are rreserve keepers but we dont see enough of training to pass any judgement on theor abilities.

I enjoy Dragusin’s physicality, even though he can be somewhat shaky on the ball, he has a great ability of bullying forwards off the ball or delaying until help arrives. I really hope Spence can kick on and Gray was great. I think the defense did as well as they could have since 2 were down to forster and the other was a corner, but the midfield should do a better job of not allowing so much pressure in those final 20 minutes especially after conceding a silly goal or two. When Bentancur’s ban ends and we get some first team defenders back we should be much more composed and capable of closing the game out. Hopefully at least.

Hello Alice. Congratulations on this channel. It takes a real football enthusiast to give a balanced look at an opposition team after a defeat. I know that I couldn't have done so after our Chelsea loss. One thing though which really annoys me is when people misinterpret what Ange said about his second season trophy success. The true statement is that he has always won a trophy in his second season. Which is a historical fact. He did not however say that he will always win a trophy in his second season, which the media has twisted into some kind of boast that he never made. Anyway. Like you have stated. There are clear signs that United are a different side to the one we played at Old Trafford this season. And what a game! Also it is worth noting that Erickson received a warm welcome even though his performance was a lot better than his last season at Tottenham?
Jamie on talksports said ‘Ange guaranteed a win this season” he said it 3 or 4 times. Ange answered a question with “ usually in my 2nd season I win things” Grotty pundits in EPL.
Amazing as always, Alice !! You're the very best !! Never quite enough time to watch all your videos, but 'if there was, I would' ... pure quality video .. thanks so much! I find it fun being a Spurs fan ... we'll do things.. hope United get up there, too .. I'm sure they will ! ..
Spence has looked good in every appearance this season, and Gray impresses every game with his poise, and is going to be a star. The only silver lining of all of these injuries is that Gray and Bergvall are getting valuable minutes. Hope to see Moore get back in the lineup soon too.
Why ask for opinions when you are so aware of everything? You hit the nail on the head - against Liverpool it depends which Spurs turn up - the one with Bissouma playing a blinder and no GK blunders or the spursy one. Also depends on which Liverpool turns up. Hopefully the Ange 'always win in second season' spell has a paralysing effect on opposition.

One of the biggest transfer mistakes Levy/Poch ever made was to buy N'dombele instead of Fernandes.

Had it not been for the first Forster error, Man U probably wouldn't have scored in a month of Sundays. Sure at that point they'd just brought on fresh attacking legs, but if Spurs had used their heads, understood that they were an hour into the game, 3-nil up and cruising, they probably would have seen it out comfortably simply by keeping the ball as far away from their own goal as much as possible, and postmatch United would be all finger pointing and recriminations for their defensive frailties. Instead, Spurs kept playing like they were trying to draw United out so that they could hit them on the counter, when United already had all ten outfield players in the Spurs half of the pitch and were just waiting to pounce on any errors. From a team perspective, United were shaky in the first 15 minutes of the second half and their confidence evaporated after Spurs' two goals, but Spurs were their own worst enemies and nearly blew it because they lack nous and awareness.
Utd were never going to be a pushover in this game coming off the back of a good comeback win in your local derby. I don’t think enough credit was given to that youngster, his pressing forced the errors, and he got his reward. But I do think spurs have learnt, if only a little, from recent performances, and this game showed it. At 3-2 the next goal was vital, and had it gone to utd I think they would’ve won 4-3, so by going and scoring instead of watching history repeat, against the run of play, showed a step forward in curing the capitulation problem Spurs have, ie: heads dropping when things go against them. That being said utd look like they’re going in the right direction and as a spurs fan I was glad you don’t have 4 forwards like ours, given that we had 1 of our first choice back 5 we were always going to concede, it was just a question of how many. Also to back up my claim about that youngster, can’t remember his name, In the first half Fernandez thought he was getting joy on the flank but nobody was in the box for Utd attacking the balls he was putting in, that’s not joy it’s wasted effort. When you pressed our Picasso like defence you created mistakes by inexperienced defenders and a slow footed keeper, and that’s all down to that youngster forcing the errors.
Game went Spurs' way for 60 minutes - taking chances well, Utd having more shots but rarely troubling Forster. But you simply can't be gifting opponents two goals by self-harm/suicide - it's just unprofessional. When Son scores there was a sigh of relief, but even then it was clear that 7 or 8 minutes were still left - still time to gift two more goals. When it went 4-3, again through poor defending, it drives you up the pole. Yes, there was a win in the end, but in terms of building momentum, the defending really wasn't helpful. Four players (Bentancur, Davies, Moore and Richarlison) may be back for the SF first leg, but the defence needs lots of training ground work because you can't have to expect to score 4 goals against bigger teams just to scrape a win. However, given the game at Coventry, there is an element of the stars shining down on Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, so believing seems to be the name of the game right now. Quite a few games to focus on first before Liverpool come for the Semi Final.....
