I discovered them years ago when I had my wisdom teeth out, and here I am, years later after the pain pills are long gone, watching them do dumb shit together. There's something about dudes who genuinely seem to enjoy hanging out, and we just get to watch the hang, instead of it being about LIKE, COMMENT, SUBSCRIBE. HIT THE BELL!
I was in the er last night, i took off work today. I saw this upload and i was like yknow what sure, lets watch my dads tell me about video games. I havent watched you guys in a few months but youll always be here
Game Informer did a full playthrough of this game 14 years ago, and it's stuck with me ever since! My best friend showed it to me and I laughed my ass off then and still do now. Their playthroughs of Overblood and Overblood 2 were a huge part of my life growing up! It was weird seeing this pop up in my subscriptions! Keep up the fantastic work you guys! :D
I grew up in New Mexico, I had a "The Box" on channel 56. I saw the music video for "The Crossroads" a LOT. I'm pretty sure there were multiple "The Box"es, operated something like a radio station. I'm pretty sure the channels were regionally limited, because the infrequency of people calling in could not possibly have been country-wide. After I wrote this all out I got the idea to look it up on Wikipedia, and there is an article about it, so I'll be reading that while watching this episode.
Yup, the chief quote: > [The Box had] up to 350 videos selectable at any given time in each of the 170 (by September 1992) different Box affiliates throughout the United States. Each affiliate had a unique playlist, usually customized to the local market, giving great exposure to more local and obscure groups. 170 different markets, which obviously means multiple different Boxes in even a single state.
We had The Box in the UK too. You had to ring (and later text) your request and then hover over your VCR record button to get ready to add to a makeshift music video mixtape
I would never drink Dr. Pibb with a meal (because the right soda choice is always Sprite because it is the most refreshing soda) but occasionally I will crave one out of nowhere. Same with root beer but it has the edge because it has the pairing of ice cream going for it.
The Box! That was a cool concept back in the day, ordering songs. Too bad it was "I'm blue" 27x in a row, followed by an afternoon of "Hit me baby one more time"
I grew up in Plymouth UK and I remember The Box but I don't think I ever watched it. Strange how it was an Irish company but made it so far around the world.
Yeah but... I think shooting at the lake that you know has a monster in it and then, to no one's surprise, getting eaten by that monster, is a pretty bad one too 😅
I requested Ween’s Voodoo Lady a bunch of times on the Box. We had it in VA thanks to our giant satellite dish that would take hours (not really) to tune to other channels.
I've been watching you guys since I was a very small child. Now I'm 39 and going through a midlife crisis. Thanks for CONTINUE-ing to be there for me after all these years.
Coming from ten years ago. Seeing that these three guys still just play the first 30 minutes of a video game with no deviation to formula at all is crazy.
We did not have the box, and I do not know what the boxes. Although, I can gather from context clues that it was possibly some sort of MTV like channel? Also, Type O Negative totally fucking rules all the time for the rest of humanity! October rust is the most Golf album of all time and will forever be in my heart like the thorn of a rose in a lily white thumb
This is one of those PS1 games I inexplicably owned. I have no idea where I got it from. I got to the point where I died to something and decided the game was officially over.
in san diego we had fox rox, that would play like after madtv around 12 am. they usually showed videos and had a band play some songs and do an interview
I don't know what sucked worse: dying repeatedly trying to figure out to how not freeze to death in the beginning or finding out you don't have enough ammo to beat the game after making your way through all the jank?
Those were always the most disappointing rentals. I'd much rather rent a bad game, than a game I can't figure out. At least if the game sucks, I could make the best of it during the weekend. But when I just couldn't figure a game out at all, there was nothing to make the best out of.
Alien is one of the best horror movies ever; Aliens is one of the best action movies ever. Alien is probably the better “film”, but I prefer the action of Aliens
I might have been too young or just too unaware of how general technology worked to have noticed the channel. The only The Box I know is the movie >< Don't worry, as you guys mentioned, "I'll do better next time." With it being a trial run and all ^^
Hey, guys, your making great videos! I just wish you can make a video of Scooby Doo haunts for the holidays flash game and to animate yourselves just like toy story and mickey mania. This flash game has 3 parts, Theatre terror, Ghost in the cellar and The last act. Please play that! That's my wish 🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺🥺
These guys could be doing paint drying the video game and I would still watch it
Paint Month
@@ContinueShow we still have plenty of months to name boys LOL

Thank you everyone for your The Box comments. We did science here today and it was very successful

I'm from Georgia and had The Box. It was a big deal for kids like me that didn't have cable
I'm definitely the Josh in my friend group: "Don't even wake me up. I don't even care." haha
I would never drink Dr. Pibb with a meal (because the right soda choice is always Sprite because it is the most refreshing soda) but occasionally I will crave one out of nowhere. Same with root beer but it has the edge because it has the pairing of ice cream going for it.
Oh, man, this game takes me back. I have fond memories of my friend showing it to me. "Peepooooooo!"
This game seems cool, continue. You guys are great. Now Josh, tell the story about how when you woke up there was a dog in your house one time.
No I want the one about his dad lighting snake on fire
I think we had the Box in Australia too in the 90s
The Box! That was a cool concept back in the day, ordering songs. Too bad it was "I'm blue" 27x in a row, followed by an afternoon of "Hit me baby one more time"
Crossroads (Bone Thugs) was a big one in my area, at the time I watched.
I grew up in Plymouth UK and I remember The Box but I don't think I ever watched it. Strange how it was an Irish company but made it so far around the world.
I live in Arizona and we also had The Box. My brother used to call in all the time.
We certainly had The Box in Arizona. Waiting for things to play and push record on the VCR.
We had The Box in Seattle too!
I'm from Alabama and we had The Box. Definitely different by region.
Well well well if it isn't Weinerless Steve and Pipo again. IYKYK.
Godammit RIP GI
Love when the boyz play obscure ass PS1 games. Considering the developer, for 1997 this game seems super ahead of it's time
Resident Evil protagonists have done a lot of embarrassing stuff, but I don't think they've ever died purely from cold temperature.
Lmao truuuue. Not even in Antarctica ala Code Veronica
Yeah but... I think shooting at the lake that you know has a monster in it and then, to no one's surprise, getting eaten by that monster, is a pretty bad one too 😅

From Virginia. Never heard of "The Box." Also, Alien vs. Aliens is a tough call, but I lean Alien.
I see that Barry (Resident Evil) got his own video game.
I had Exactly the same thought
I've been watching you guys since I was a very small child. Now I'm 39 and going through a midlife crisis. Thanks for CONTINUE-ing to be there for me after all these years.
I agree with Paul, Alien is superior. But everyone prefers Aliens, because most people dislike slow paced movies
Atmosphere and tension > dumb-dumb action with zero likable characters
Minnesota had the box
Fresno, CA, grew up with The Box! Definitely regional because it was all Wast Coast rap over here! 🤘🏼
Coming from ten years ago. Seeing that these three guys still just play the first 30 minutes of a video game with no deviation to formula at all is crazy.
oh this games intro is stuck in my head forever. also the first room was such a headache back when
We had The Box down here in Louisville, KY, in the mid-90s.
You’re in the future!! Alexa turn up the temperature. I’m sorry I can’t do that Paul.
I would actually continue if I could find it.
It's The Box story again.
I'm near Detroit and can't say I've heard of The Box before, so must've not spread over here then
I'm pleased to inform you lads there is an OverBlood 2.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and we had the box. It was a show you could call into and request music videos.
We had the box in the UK. It did skew American IIRC.
ah, yes, the game most known for one thing: "PEEPOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
PlayStation and N64 Make the best continue episodes
Oh noooo it's this one. The last game Retsupurae officially made fun of, haha
OMG, the protagonist looks like Josh
Holy fuck pamplemoose is a word I haven't heard in forever
We did not have the box, and I do not know what the boxes. Although, I can gather from context clues that it was possibly some sort of MTV like channel? Nick's brilliant General Zod reference got overlooked during Paul's Vox rant.
in san diego we had fox rox, that would play like after madtv around 12 am. they usually showed videos and had a band play some songs and do an interview
Box was in Pacific Northwest too.
Video games are fucking weird. I love it
man I'm OVER that old BLOOD, I gotta get me some of that nu BLOOD
I'm with Paul, Aliens is decent but Alien tops it in every way imo
I don't know what sucked worse: dying repeatedly trying to figure out to how not freeze to death in the beginning or finding out you don't have enough ammo to beat the game after making your way through all the jank?
Glad to see SOMEONE made a videogame about what it's like to get up in the middle of the night and have to go the bathroom.
somebody call for a space (intergalactic) janitor? holy crap i hope they play MDK!
I think Josh and I are the only people who watch Enterprise
There is an Overblood 2. Maybe next Scifi Month?
Never heard of the box.
The boys are back
This seems like a game i would’ve rented, frozen to death, and then decided the game was broken and hope i rented a better game next week
Those were always the most disappointing rentals. I'd much rather rent a bad game, than a game I can't figure out. At least if the game sucks, I could make the best of it during the weekend. But when I just couldn't figure a game out at all, there was nothing to make the best out of.
I only drink Chief Medical Officer Pepper
Red creme soda is the best soda.
The only "Box" I know about is the "Boo Box" that they threw bearded Glenn Close into during Hook
I'm 36 years old in AZ and the only "The Box" I know of is the one in Batman Forever lol.
Please do the Deep Space 9 game for Snes/Genesis, Crossroads of time! Has a beautiful cover of the ds9 theme song.
I recommend Broforce for the show.
Thought Paul said LEGO Doom toys and I was disappointed. It's 1994 all over again.
Alien is one of the best horror movies ever; Aliens is one of the best action movies ever. Alien is probably the better “film”, but I prefer the action of Aliens
Yo I love Type O Negative
I love this show
I might have been too young or just too unaware of how general technology worked to have noticed the channel. The only The Box I know is the movie ><
Don't worry, as you guys mentioned, "I'll do better next time." With it being a trial run and all ^^
How the fuck is Close Encounters of the Third Kind not TOOOO LOOONG and boring if The Abyss IS? JOOOOSH
Why did they freeze 1980s Ringo Starr?
In Fresno California we got the box.
Nas a peepo.
