Greetings from Mexico! The name of the bread is "Concha". We say "Pan de dulce" the same as bread or pastry. We use "Pastel" to refer to a Cake. Your Spanish is really good. Congratulations!
Those things are SO freakin' delicious (cochas). I only had two while I was there but I would have bought about 20 if I'd known how good they were going to be.
Great, i'm Arthur and i'm from Brazil and now i decided to start learn Spanish and i came across with your videos, was incredible to see you both speaking in Spanish. Great Video.
¡Hola!
I enjoyed so much watching this video, I'm a native Spanish speaker and you guys did it amazing. That's really impressive and amazing to see anyone else trying to speak Spanish, and your Spanish is great guys I think you already speak the language.
Seeing to Anglophone people really trying (and succeeding) at learning Spanish, when the entire planet studies English, is really moving and touching. Un aplauso para ellos!
Yes, I’m a new subscriber! As a Spanish teacher, I enjoyed this video. Keep it up! I might show my classes this. Y’all are doing a great job 👏 please make more of these videos. They are fun to watch!
Kate's Spanish actually sounds quite authentic... her pronunciation is very clear and just based on hearing her say a few words, one would think she's a native Spanish speaker (at the end when they switched back to English, I was almost caught off guard like "Oh right, she does speak English too!"). The only thing missing would be having a more expansive vocabulary to go just beyond the "basics"... but that comes with a lot of practice and reading.
Thank you!! We definitely want to get to a point where we sound like native speakers, so that’s a great compliment. And yeah, vocabulary is tricky because it’s something we have to just sit down and practice. We’ll get there!
This is a very interesting video, I believe I have never seen a video like this where a couple challenge themselves to speak a non-native language for 24hrs. Idk if you know, but even by hearing you two speak Spanish, it makes you look more intelligent even if it's not completely perfect(well, she has a better pronunciation), but I'm able to understand everything clearly. Great job!
Ya'll did so good!! It's really impressive especially coming from school/self taught. I'm learning Spanish right now. If ya'll make another video, would you be able to make the captions removable? Would love to use this for comprehensible input practice! So fun to watch!
Something i really admire in many Americans ( of course not all ) is how positive you are despite anti American sentiment or embarrassment 🫶❤️ much love from europe
Thanks for uploading this video. The food looks great, and you both can express your thoughts in Spanish very well. This video reminded me that it has been a while since I visited the Spanish-speaking area in the city I live in.
Fun story. Those "Nito" buns were called "Negritos" about 10 years ago, and they had a cartoon of a black kid in the package... Obviously they changed it, but it lasted like that for ages
Great job!your spanish is amazing!. If you need some help to clarify your doubts,i can be of help. Spanish people name like pastel or tarta more commpn this last the bithay cakes.
