Recently clocked up 300,000kms in a 1990 300E 24 Valve Klassik. Paintwork is fresh out of Cuba. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Now the door locks have worn out, but I have new tyres and no radio. Deep joy!
There's a really good group in the UK, who know everything, including the notorious tendency for condensation to accumulate in the dizzy cap, which no garage here in Wellington, NZ was able to diagnose. Good luck. You'll probably need it.
Well done, - me I can live with squeaks and (some) rattles, cracked aerial cover - yep and hard water residue stains, yep but ? your centre steering wheel logo (star) being offset would drive me nut's!!!. 😱 Cheers from the east coast.
It's great how much you love your cars. I've given up on keeping mine original. I bypass everything and swap out parts with whatever I find. Really like your "mint condition" attitude vs my using plumbing pipe and zip ties. 512,000 km (320,000 miles). Pruno
Nice car 👍 I have troubles with KE-jetronic and maybe you could help me 😅 Audi 100 1988 with lambda. Does not run when engine is warm, but if i disconnect the EHA-valve i runs. With cold temperaturesensor its run,but when the engine and sensor gets warm it shuts fuel and dies. Controllpressure gets even with systempressure. Change lambda,o-rings,tempsensors. Gets High milliamp to Eha. Can it be the ECU? //// Sweden
Efi is not a bad option with ke jet parts getting super expensive and difficult issues to pinpoint I used invent labs and it’s been genuinely the best thing I’ve done to my car 190e m102.
@@bobexsus I have looked on that to 😅 Invent or k-jet killers. Is it less on fuel with that? But in Sweden the parts to KE isnt that expensive i think. ECU costs 300sek ,30 dollars..
@@per-erikforsberg6710 yeah I was having a tough time making the same decision between k jet killers and invent labs. K jet killers have better quality and it’s gonna be less work to install but from what I hear there’s basically no customer service and your on your own to figure it out. While with invent labs the guy who actually made the kit would respond to everyone pretty much daily on the forum.
@@bobexsus Hmm,so maybe i Should consider to make a change.. Im going to make the car a daily driver. No rust and just 17400 miles on it 🙂 Was it easy to put in?
Hi MMWA First of all congratulations for all your passion of Mercedes. I would like to know if don't bother to share this information? 😊What is the petrol consumption on these cars. I mean if something changes due to high mileage or old. And of course depending on size of engine. Thank you ❤

Well-deserved drive after the fuel pump fit and refit 👌
Careful about car covers, they wear away paint if it is outside. Great to find your channel

@@per-erikforsberg6710 and yeah I’ve noticed an improvement on fuel economy but that could be beacuse my original ke jet was running so poorly

Hi mate did you recheck the duty cycle after the pump replacement?
havent checked anything, literally jumped in and went for a drive as I was so tired of not being able to drive it 😂
Hi MMWA. I have a diesel W124. Who do you like to buy your parts from online?
Why is the economy indicator constantly in the red?
currently not connected. I obviously forgot to reconnect when i rebuilt the dash pods. Good observation, i did not notice that.
@@MMWA-DAVE no problem...you have something to do again. best wishes from Germany
