D L D W W On B2 I passed, but we still got to 3N, with partner opening a D, me doing an inverted raise, west coming in with 2H, partner bidding 2N, and me making an ill-fated raise to 3N. I thought I'd be clever not winning the opening heart, but with the Ace surprisingly on my right, I went down two, for my only loss today. On B4 I let them play in 3S, down one. 3H was making for them on the 4-4 fit: who knew? And near impossible to find after east's takeout double and west's preference for spades with five of them. B5 bidding was wild when I decided to make a constructive raise with my three hearts and six HCP with a balanced hand: west doubled, partner made a 4C splinter bid (overbidding, in my opinion), forcing me to 4H, knowing that my king of clubs is likely useless. It looked hopeless, but on this layout, it actually made!
DWLWW - - On B2 I used the rule of 20+2, this hand fit the 20 but lacked two quick tricks so I passed and played in 2NT making. On B5 I didn't rate my hand to be worth more than a simple 2H raise, West doubled for takeout and partner issued a 4C splinter bid endplaying me into bidding 4H. I lost a heart, a club and a diamond for 10 tricks
W L L W W 1: I competed to 2C (misleadingly promising 5D). I have no idea why partned didn't correct to 2D. Still a win as we were undoubled. 2: went 2x off in 3NT 3: Playing ACOL we open 1NT and get to play here going down badly for a loss 4: Again ACOL buys it in 1NT all pass, which makes for a win 5: Partner went straight to 4S over my 1S - making for a win. KH lead helped.. DD says I can make 2 overtrics now - but I had the fear it was a singleton - so I cashed Ace and another spade fearing a ruff if I tried anything else.
40 IBPs! Board 1 I rebid 2C. Felt like I needed to bid out my hand. Partner corrected to 2D-1 which was a win. Bd 2 I didn’t open then bid 2D inverted minor and it opps got in bidding and raising Hs and P bid 2NT. I corrected to 3D+1 for another win Bd 3 same contract but didn’t defend as well and they made. Bd 4 4C-1 Bd 5 was just so ugly I passed 1H though I actually think I shldve bid 1S the way u did. Then P rebid 2H over opps 2D and it passed out for 2H+1
B3. It didn't feel right to me to let them back in with 2S and play undoubled, so I risked a double. It went redouble, all pass! Against 2SXX, after two diamonds and diamond ruff, partner did not switch to a heart like they did for you. Then declarer dropped my doubleton CQ and played dummy's good clubs through me, making. Argh!
