Greetings, brethren and friends. I have scrolled through loads of your messages here, and have spotted a few complaints. First, I'd like to state that I'm not even a DCLM member, neither I'm I defending the Man of God. I'm just stating things from the prism of what I have known about this man over the years. I'd like to also add that I attended DCLM briefly as a child, and still grace their church services if I'm not by any means privileged to attend mine for some reasons. A few of us have sought to define some traditions in DCLM and have expectedly itemised this as a portion of it. Well, I'm not dismissing it. To me, having belonged and still belong, to a church that shares similar ideals with DCLM, I perfectly understood Kumuyi's fears - he just doesn't want flashiness or flamboyance that might derail the reservedness of the people, and force them to go all-out into the enticing embrace of sinful competition and luxury. You must notice that heaven only requires you to be saved and to keep all the terms of God, which includes covering one's nakedness completely. However, pastor in a bid to ensure strict compliance to the message of holiness created channels and systems of dressing that would keep one reserved and eternally unmindful of the fashion trends prevailing in the world today which has the capability to admit some folks into worldliness, when not outrightly managed. Fashion itself isn't a sin, but unregulated dive into fashion could breed hearts longing to dress to impress. Same way dancing in church isn't sin, but he regulated it for fear of the erosion of morality in church. How? Some folks dance carelessly in church, a few unregenerated church goers, new converts, or even old believers, out of excitement can turn the church into a party venue, shaking, exploring, brandishing, and presenting their body assets as a dying sacrifice; initiating lusts in not-so-sound minds. I'm someone that dances in church, so I know what I'm saying. As a man that I love so much (not more than God), pray fervently for whenever I could, receive impressions to pray for him when he's contending with obstacles and is being weighed down, I'll only be worried if: 1. He stops preaching salvation through Christ, initiated by repentance from sin. 2. He stops pursuing holiness. 3. He deviates from preaching the essentials of the gospel of the kingdom. 4. He becomes apostate. Aside these, once God through his messages cause men to be changed internally and made whole through the cleansing of the blood of the eternal covenant, and I can see proofs that men have crucified the flesh, and are now working in the newness of life daily until their lifetime expires, plus the confirmation of the gospel through signs and wonders, I'm satisfied. Brethren, please let's stop arguing about some of these things. If you're finding it difficult to keep these principles, you can ask God to grant you the strength to keep it, or you can look for another christian church that's not so difficult with principles. Rather, pray continually for him and his ministry. God bless. Yours truly, from another church.

I've been expecting a message like this. Things have started changing gradually since Global Crusade began,worldliness started creeping in unawares particularly in the area of dressing through our choristers. I personally noticed unhealthy competitions in the way and manner our choristers dress. God has used this message to answer my sincere heartfelt prayer for Deeper Life in this aspect. The simple heartfelt prayer I usually pray in my closet is "Deeper Life Bible Church will not give in to compromise in any form in these last days" I deeply appreciate God for answering this simple prayer by using our GS to address some of the areas that compromise wanted to furtively creep in. May God continue to use our GS for unlimited usefulness in God's kingdom assignments. Revelation 2:2-7, Revelation 3: 2-6
God bless for this observation after the crusade I feared what could start. A preacher friend of mine but about 21 people into 21days of fasting and asking nothing from the the Lord but that the mighty will be upheld. I am happy about this message.

Before I became born again, there were 2 campus choristers that I admired so much because of the effort and efficiency in which they work for God. The sisters had lots of responsibilities as campus executives and choristers. Anytime I see them on their choir outfit it feels like I’m beholding God’s glory very clearly. I always pray to be saved so that God’s glory would be evident in me as well. I refused to be a youth chorister because of the “hypocrisy” then. In fact seeing them on pleat skirts really pissed me off. So what happened to me on campus? The campus sisters wore the outfits with the heavenly vision in mind and salvation which was why I prayed for salvation all the time. Truly the life of an obedient Christian is an open book which people reads and want to know more about God.

Eph 4vs5-6 says one Lord, one faith,one baptism…..,, is the DCLM In overseas different from the DCLM in Nigeria? Is it not the same pastor, same doctrine, same church and same heaven? Are we all going to different heaven ? Why is it sin for Nigerians and not sin for overseas brethren? I'm a deeper life member also, I don't swallow all the errors from the pulpit, nor am I brainwashed with the "man doctrines" in deeper life. Deeper is full of excessive man doctrine. We also have the truth in deeper life, but all the man doctrine by pastor Kumuyi, I say no to them. A pastor is a man like you and me, he can say something on the alter when preaching which may be an error. Again I say, he is a man, not perfect, only God is perfect. The holy prophet/men who stood with God in the old testament are far holier and more committed than pastor Kumuyi. For example, Enoch, Elijah, Moses, and Isaiah. It is in the scripture that Moses made a mistake, prophet Isaiah said he is not holy enough (Isaiah 6:5). Pastor Kumuyi's holiness is not even close to these four men I mentioned. Have we all forgotten Romans 3:10 or Mark 10:18 You already brainwash yourself, if you believe one man of God can never make an error on the alter, that shows you are a pastor godifier. Most Christ Embassy members/workers, Winners members/workers, Deeper life members/workers worship their pastor to the point that they are blind not to see error committed by these men of God. Not only these three churches, but a lot of churches also godify and worship their head pastor/bishop to the point they never see any error they say. If you can see any error from another man/woman of God in another denomination of church, then others can see that of your pastor too. Members/works who defend their pastors are men worshipers. If you talk about their pastor, you will see how they will rage out to defend their pastor, same people, when people (unbelievers) talk again Jesus, you will see them keeping quiet because they worship man and not God. Members/Workers who worship and godify "GOs", "GS", "Papa", "Mama". They elevate these men/women of God than God Himself. If prophet Isaiah can say this in (Isaiah 6:5), who is Oyedepo, Oyakilomen, Kumuyi, Adeboye before God that cannot make mistakes or errors when they preach. @osagie you've written so much just to justify your position. But what the pastor is asking is to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. Even if Pastor kumuyi ask you to follow him, he won't be wrong as long as he's following christ. Paul the apostle said the same to his congregation. Let's be careful before we slide into rebellion in the name of personal opinion, knowledge etc. God fights rebellion anywhere he sees it. Luckier is today the devil because of rebellion, over rating of self worth. That we know a few scriptures does not mean we can carelessly plant seeds of discord and deviate others from correction. These competitions thing most people are talking about is what I don't get honestly, people dress to look good without exposing their nakedness you say it is competitions. It's very unfair! Most times we tender to put things in people's mind when they were not even thinking of it. Where did you expect them to dress nice to? As believers we are not expected to go for any worldly occasion, the best and constant place we are suppose to be is the house of God, so do you expect them to dress anyhow to the presence of God? Our uniform from time immemorial has been pleated skirt and blouse, this time around most chorister are now wearing flare skirt, which tend to be less expensive then the pleated skirt. So what the competitions there? Or you are talking about the material? Honestly I don't get it when you say competitions among various choir.
Church is led by the Holy Spirit of God, not by your analysis. So, if the Spirit has not seen the worldly attitude of competition, He won't send His servant to them!

It is not about Kumuyi but all about JESUS so stay focused. Even Jesus was criticised but he didn't heap hot coals on anybody's head. Jesus loves even the unlovable. We all started in the Church as young people and from then till now grace has kept us in the fear of God, Timothy started as a youth, youths should learn how to obey God, If you can't obey God as youth, it will be very difficult for you to make a good Christian.

The sins that will lead men to hell fire are clearly stated in the bible. These man made doctrines were not listed among them. However, the bible admonishes us to be decent and modest in everything. We must love God above all worldly affairs. This type of gospel and man made doctrines can never be accepted in such societies because they are enlightened so they can read the bible for themselves. Most Nigerians worship their church leaders. If their church leader says something, then it must be true and from God. What the GOs say must never be reasoned out or questioned. Unfortunately, some of these man made doctrines cannot be practiced in other countries because they cannot be found in the bible. This leaves us with a question: is the bible used in Nigeria different?

I observed your comments depict that you're not favourably disposed to Bible doctrine on Christian dressing we jealously embrace in Deeper Life. We understand quite sure that many pseudo and psychedelic Christians hate us because we are not shifting ground on this aspect. But we have the joy and confidence that God's presence is apparently and undoubtedly evident in Deeper Life. . You mentioned that Deeper Life in the Western world are enlightened that's why they dress differently from us in Nigeria. This a misnomer., you're lopsided and beclouded in your assessment. I am also not agitating for Deeper life to change their way of dressing aterall a man must be identified by something.The way they dress doesn't bother me in any way because I do not pay for their clothes and they don't wear them on my body. Now, my point and concern is that Kumuyi has some doctrines probably with good intentions which are not God's commandments. Some of them have to do with dressing while others do not. Some of these doctrines are not instructed by God like women should not wear jackets and people should not watch TV etc. I feel sad when Kukuyi says going against these his doctrines is a SIN when the scriptures didn't record them as sins. If he doesn't want his members to watch TV or women wear jacket, that is fine but my point is that he should not say it is a SIN. Now to the issue of enlightenment, when we all broke our TVs in the 80s and early 90s because Kumuyi told us that it was a sin to watch TV, we obeyed, did anybody in UK or America break his TV to obey Kumuyi? Now, the same Kumuyi has come to tell again that we can watch TV.. Is he asking us now to commit a SIN or has God's standards changed? In summary, Kumuyi should clearly seperate his own church doctrine from God's commandment as stated in the Bible.

As for whether I am a believer or a pharisee ,, I leave that for God to judge. All I know is that I am he whom God has showered his mercies on. I live by the mercies of Jehovah God. Let him that thinks he stands stand well lest he falls.
While things changes, Holiness doesn't. Quite frankly, it infuriates me when sinners predict that deeper life would begin to use drums in no time. The little bit of changes is what they had referred to “revival” rather than the Heavenly vision.

David the man after God's heart, go and read about him and musical instruments very well. If you speak against sin, I will understand but against drumming and dancing? A few of us have sought to define some traditions in DCLM and have expectedly itemised this as a portion of it. Well, I'm not dismissing it. To me, having belonged and still belong, to a church that shares similar ideals with DCLM, I perfectly understood Kumuyi's fears - he just doesn't want flashiness or flamboyance that might derail the reservedness of the people, and force them to go all-out into the enticing embrace of sinful competition and luxury. You must notice that heaven only requires you to be saved and to keep all the terms of God, which includes covering one's nakedness completely. However, pastor in a bid to ensure strict compliance to the message of holiness created channels and systems of dressing that would keep one reserved and eternally unmindful of the fashion trends prevailing in the world today which has the capability to admit some folks into worldliness, when not outrightly managed. Fashion itself isn't a sin, but unregulated dive into fashion could breed hearts longing to dress to impress. Same way dancing in church isn't sin, but he regulated it for fear of the erosion of morality in church. How? Some folks dance carelessly in church, a few unregenerated church goers, new converts, or even old believers, out of excitement can turn the church into a party venue, shaking, exploring, brandishing, and presenting their body assets as a dying sacrifice; initiating lusts in not-so-sound minds. I'm someone that dances in church, so I know what I'm saying.
As a man that I love so much (not more than God), pray fervently for whenever I could, receive impressions to pray for him when he's contending with obstacles and is being weighed down, I'll only be worried if:
1. He stops preaching salvation through Christ, initiated by repentance from sin.
2. He stops pursuing holiness.
3. He deviates from preaching the essentials of the gospel of the kingdom.
4. He becomes apostate. Aside these, once God through his messages cause men to be changed internally and made whole through the cleansing of the blood of the eternal covenant, and I can see proofs that men have crucified the flesh, and are now working in the newness of life daily until their lifetime expires, plus the confirmation of the gospel through signs and wonders, I'm satisfied.
Brethren, please let's stop arguing about some of these things. If you're finding it difficult to keep these principles, you can ask God to grant you the strength to keep it, or you can look for another christian church that's not so difficult with principles.
Rather, pray continually for him and his ministry. God bless.

I've been expecting a message like this. Things have started changing gradually since Global Crusade began,worldliness started creeping in unawares particularly in the area of dressing through our choristers.
I personally noticed unhealthy competitions in the way and manner our choristers dress.
God has used this message to answer my sincere heartfelt prayer for Deeper Life in this aspect.
The simple heartfelt prayer I usually pray in my closet is "Deeper Life Bible Church will not give in to compromise in any form in these last days"
I deeply appreciate God for answering this simple prayer by using our GS to address some of the areas that compromise wanted to furtively creep in.

Before I became born again, there were 2 campus choristers that I admired so much because of the effort and efficiency in which they work for God. The sisters had lots of responsibilities as campus executives and choristers. Anytime I see them on their choir outfit it feels like I’m beholding God’s glory very clearly. I always pray to be saved so that God’s glory would be evident in me as well. I refused to be a youth chorister because of the “hypocrisy” then. In fact seeing them on pleat skirts really pissed me off. So what happened to me on campus?
The campus sisters wore the outfits with the heavenly vision in mind and salvation which was why I prayed for salvation all the time.
Truly the life of an obedient Christian is an open book which people reads and want to know more about God.

A pastor is a man like you and me, he can say something on the alter when preaching which may be an error. Again I say, he is a man, not perfect, only God is perfect.
The holy prophet/men who stood with God in the old testament are far holier and more committed than pastor Kumuyi. For example, Enoch, Elijah, Moses, and Isaiah. It is in the scripture that Moses made a mistake, prophet Isaiah said he is not holy enough (Isaiah 6:5). Pastor Kumuyi's holiness is not even close to these four men I mentioned. Have we all forgotten Romans 3:10 or Mark 10:18
You already brainwash yourself, if you believe one man of God can never make an error on the alter, that shows you are a pastor godifier. Most Christ Embassy members/workers, Winners members/workers, Deeper life members/workers worship their pastor to the point that they are blind not to see error committed by these men of God. Not only these three churches, but a lot of churches also godify and worship their head pastor/bishop to the point they never see any error they say. If you can see any error from another man/woman of God in another denomination of church, then others can see that of your pastor too.
Members/works who defend their pastors are men worshipers. If you talk about their pastor, you will see how they will rage out to defend their pastor, same people, when people (unbelievers) talk again Jesus, you will see them keeping quiet because they worship man and not God. Members/Workers who worship and godify "GOs", "GS", "Papa", "Mama". They elevate these men/women of God than God Himself.
If prophet Isaiah can say this in (Isaiah 6:5), who is Oyedepo, Oyakilomen, Kumuyi, Adeboye before God that cannot make mistakes or errors when they preach. If you've never seen your so-called man of God make mistake or say some things that are not completely in line with the Word of God then you are a man worshiper and not a God worshiper, you've brainwashed yourself to keep swallowing the error they say or committed, you think you know the truth, but you are blind also.
If you think you are holy and your lifestyle has not won a soul to God since you're born again, then you're doing self-righteousness. A lot of deeper life members are feed-up with point 1, point 2, point 3, they just don't know how to say it out.

These competitions thing most people are talking about is what I don't get honestly, people dress to look good without exposing their nakedness you say it is competitions. It's very unfair! Church is led by the Holy Spirit of God, not by your analysis. So, if the Spirit has not seen the worldly attitude of competition, He won't send His servant to them!

The sins that will lead men to hell fire are clearly stated in the bible. These man made doctrines were not listed among them. However, the bible admonishes us to be decent and modest in everything. We must love God above all worldly affairs. This type of gospel and man made doctrines can never be accepted in such societies because they are enlightened so they can read the bible for themselves. Most Nigerians worship their church leaders. If their church leader says something, then it must be true and from God. What the GOs say must never be reasoned out or questioned. Unfortunately, some of these man made doctrines cannot be practiced in other countries because they cannot be found in the bible. This leaves us with a question: is the bible used in Nigeria different?

I observed your comments depict that you're not favourably disposed to Bible doctrine on Christian dressing we jealously embrace in Deeper Life. We understand quite sure that many pseudo and psychedelic Christians hate us because we are not shifting ground on this aspect. But we have the joy and confidence that God's presence is apparently and undoubtedly evident in Deeper Life. . You mentioned that Deeper Life in the Western world are enlightened that's why they dress differently from us in Nigeria. This a misnomer., you're lopsided and beclouded in your assessment. You'd better not waste your time stressing yourself too much on the matter you know nothing about. Nobody is forcing anyone to join us if you are not ready to comply with heaven's requirements we practice in Deeper Life. We are not crowd driven but we are heaven conscious.

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad....the critics and persecutors you mentioned during Jesus' time were sinners and Pharisees. May I ask whether you are a Pharisee (sinner) or a believer in Christ. This is simply because a Christian does not persecute or criticize fellow Christians. If he/she does then such a person is considered an apostate,traitor and hypocrite.
@@johnsonolorede9179 You miss my point Johnson. I do not hate anyone not even Deeper Life members. I am also not agitating for Deeper life to change their way of dressing aterall a man must be identified by something.The way they dress doesn't bother me in any way because I do not pay for their clothes and they don't wear them on my body. Now, my point and concern is that Kumuyi has some doctrines probably with good intentions which are not God's commandments. Some of them have to do with dressing while others do not. Some of these doctrines are not instructed by God like women should not wear jackets and people should not watch TV etc. I feel sad when Kukuyi says going against these his doctrines is a SIN when the scriptures didn't record them as sins. If he doesn't want his members to watch TV or women wear jacket, that is fine but my point is that he should not say it is a SIN. Now to the issue of enlightenment, when we all broke our TVs in the 80s and early 90s because Kumuyi told us that it was a sin to watch TV, we obeyed, did anybody in UK or America break his TV to obey Kumuyi? Now, the same Kumuyi has come to tell again that we can watch TV.. Is he asking us now to commit a SIN or has God's standards changed? In summary, Kumuyi should clearly seperate his own church doctrine from God's commandment as stated in the Bible.
@@johnsonolorede9179 Kumuyi or any man of God for that matter can be criticised by just anybody for either doing good or bad. No human being is beyond criticism because we are not perfect. As for whether I am a believer or a pharisee ,, I leave that for God to judge. All I know is that I am he whom God has showered his mercies on. I live by the mercies of Jehovah God. Let him that thinks he stands stand well lest he falls.
While things changes, Holiness doesn't. Quite frankly, it infuriates me when sinners predict that deeper life would begin to use drums in no time. The little bit of changes is what they had referred to “revival” rather than the Heavenly vision.

Where in the bible did read that the use of drum is a sin? David the man after God's heart, go and read about him and musical instruments very well. If you speak against sin, I will understand but against drumming and dancing? Sometimes, I wonder the God people are referring to.
