My friend asked me why they were call dog trot houses,, I told him the house had a porch all around the house and 3 or 4 of your hound dogs would lay on the porch,at night your old hounds would be barking and running throught the breeze way, at night they would be scraching flees and their elbow would be thumping on the porch boards, it sounded like someone knocking,,At night in the country the woods would be alive with wonderful sounds, often times spooky sounds that made a boy duck under the quilt,, thank you for watching my video
Mathew, you were on a roll today. We had lots of fun out there and Angelique is a really good sport. Thanks for really going out of your way to get a good shot at that bridge at the end of the video that certainly was a picture taker. And of course, some awesome stories in between, I don’t think I could ever shoot anybody either. It have to be complete and self-defense.😊😊❤
@tld522,, as you know in October at night we would lay in bed and wonder what was that sound coming from the woods late at night,, those old houses would creak and pop, a boy would cover his head sometimes to drown out the frightful sounds, ghost and spooks come out in October, lol
Wow, I was born and lived in Alabama until i was sixty-two years old and never saw this or any of the covered bridges. That is a pretty bridge. Thanks for sharing.
@Dgoodson1958 we have one near me called the Swann covered bridge that is over 390 feet long across the Warrior river, I will do a video as soon as the hurricane passes through here,, thank you for viewing my video
You did well to get over the bridge and back again. Hope you got back up the hill in good order and enjoyed your ride back home. Thanks for taking the time to show us all the Clarkson covered bridge. Cheers
@kimetogo I broke both bones in my right leg and have 14 screws and plates on both bones,, one week after surgery my wife got very sick with 104 degrees of fever, I had to carry her in my arms down the stairs and load her in my mustang, had to do the same when I brought her home,, it bent the plates and the screws came out throught my skin,, she died shortly after but my leg didn't heal right, I have limited motion in my foot, Yes I was happy to be still walking,, life is good if you don't weaken, thank you for watching my video
@TheBlueBikeDoyle In those days we didn't have the Smith Lake Dam and we had major floods through the 1940's,, our little creeks would swell to over a 1/2 mile wide creek, June 30th 1940 I was born and my daddy could not bring the doctor to our house for 3 days after I was born, he said I was a 9 pound 14 ounce boy and all of my parts were where they should be,Daddy gave my middle name Mack because I was ugly like the hood emblem on his Mack truck,,, thank you for watching my video
@9milsOn2wheels He told us her family was most likely cooking up some crack and the drone might see them, He said it was best not to fly my drone in that area
@bentipton1826 I rode 2 wheels for 65 years and after I broke both bones in my leg, I switched too a trike, Going on 85 years of age my legs are not very strong now, Do you live in Alabama
At my age it is important for me to keep my words to Angelique, I have a lot less chances of riding tomorrow than than most people, I try to ride everyday and will most likely get to ride with you when the time comes,I been talking to Ray and he is coming when the weather gets better, I might ride over to the longest covered bridge tomorrow and make a video if the weather is good
