- The Three Degrees is an American female vocal group, which was originally formed in 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The original members were Fayette Pinkney, Shirley Porter and Linda Turner. Porter and Turner were soon replaced by Janet Harmon and Helen Scott. The line-up from 1967 to 1976 was Pinkney, Valerie Holiday and Sheila Ferguson, who would go on to sing lead on most of the group's biggest hits.
This performance in the Netherlands was recorded and broadcast in the program 'Miss Holland' on January 4, 1974.
'Dirty Ole' Man reached no. 1 in the Dutch Top 40 (and consequently also no. 1 in the Belgian charts). Also it charted in Germany (#34) but did not reach the Billboard Top 100.
Because the original tape was in a bad state, this is the best we could do digitizing this tape, so unfortunately we have to live with this quality, our apologies!

One of the best times of your life, I assume. I was 14 and really admired these stunning ladies with their beautiful voices, dresses and well shaped hands. A never boring song; enjoy your memories! (P.s.: my dad was a USMC during the last year of WW II, also 19. It marked his life forever...)

Nothing to be sorry for, it's awesome for its age and the sound... goose bumps. That the audio was preserved this well amazes me but I am glad it did as it got me moving and I can't stop.
