I'd never heard that before. We didn't have a lot of money growing up, and I had borrowed a copy of Ghostbusters from a friend once. I absolutely loved it, still my favourite movie. We couldn't buy a copy but I watched it as much as I could before having to give it back and memorized the dialogue to a tee. I think I would have been around 8 at the time. I heard that last line in Axel's voice from Kingdom Hearts lmao
Cassidy McCabe commit to memory
axel's catch phrase
I was hoping to see at least one reference to Axel in this thread, I was not disappointed lmao
This reminds me of that one hilarious Tumblr post about the kid who memorized the entirety of Shrek and would "watch Shrek in their head" any time they were bored.
And then when her dad sees her awake at night her dad would have to yell at her to "STOP WATCHING SHREK IN YOUR HEAD"
Lmao and whenever they're in a car ride she would go completely blank and watch it
I'd never heard that before.
Anyway yeah, I did the same thing for years. The worst was seeing Ghostbusters come on TV around Halloween and getting excited to watch it only to find out that bits and pieces were cut for TV. Only a line here or there, or a word swapped out for a more PG one, but yeah it drove me insane. I would get so upset that they put the wrong movie on TV, or that they somehow "broke their copy".

I think the fact he got the little animation moments 100% is what scares me. Memorizing lines based on music can be easy, but remember the crocodile does an awe shucks hand pound or that Hook skips UNDER the boat? That's just talent
Indeed, it helps that they are mostly theatrical, exaggerated movements, but it still takes quite an amount of... Experience? As in, it's not simply good memory, it's good *memorization* of the movie.
also little music/sound effects
''Mr Smee loading up the boat'' was the most impressive thing in the whole video
...you mean it's NOT normal for people to be able to do this after a couple viewings?
@@Jason_Altea I could've memorized the entirety of the friends franchise and every single episode just as much as ProZD here after like 8 or 9 reruns, but now?
