Eventually the pain of loss fades enough that when you think of them it makes you smile. Of course a good reminisce about them can bring back the sadness, it never really goes but they are never forgotten.
We always drill our down lights before it’s skimmed. Building control on vaulted ceilings are a pain. They want specs of lights and fire rating and they still turn them down. Hope your dad is celebrating
Love the internal plastered "soffit" where the chippy's fucked up the rafters, way back when! Could have made a feature of it and had downlighters in there instead. 😂
im currently experimenting with an airtag type devise which you can locate with your phone for such instances you simply tag it to the spot on maybe roof underside or a joist and find it
Get used to it, that's what get used on extensions since the new regs. It avoids the customer to have a 150mm cavity with rockwool. Bricky myself and I hate the stuff too! Pain in the a***
great work, nice speakers and transformer(s) but without at least an ip6 front rating for the speakers wouldnt that create a cold spot within the celotexed ceiling which could cause sweating, condensation and potentially damp spots? this isn't criticism, just a query
Rockwool is vapour and air permeable, so it absolutely won't provide either a vapour or air barrier. I hope I misunderstood the situation. This kind of build sounds like a pain to manage! ❤😂

Happy birthday to your dad! I lost mine coming up to two years ago, feel your pain.

Why don't you use a vertical dot laser and mark the locations on the floor
