The death of the angel of death,..
"Every soul will taste death. You will be returned to Us in the end." (al-Anqabût, 57)
It is narrated that Allaah, in His omniscience, after the death of all living beings, asks the angel of death: "Who is left of my creation?" The angel said: "O Lord, You know better who is left, but no one is left except this weak servant of yours." Then Allah says: "O angel of death! You made my prophets, messengers, guardians and servants taste death. Although I am the All-Knowing of all the unseen, this has been decreed in My eternal knowledge: Everything is doomed to perish except My Essence. Now it is your turn." Upon this, the angel pleads as follows: "O God, have mercy on your servant, the angel of death, and treat him with your grace! For he is weak." Allah (swt) said: "Put your right hand under your right cheek, lie down between Paradise and Hell and give your life!" In this way he dies by Allah's command." (Ruh al-Bayan commentary)
