The way Chatty got interrupted *three* times today trying to confess to Twinkles he has feelings for Ray, including just before Benji arrived, was hilarious and frustrating, too. Jagger/Chatterbox had an intense, really masterful stream of non stop rp. So, so good.
I know everyone feels like Benji is failing but thats just the reality of being in the middle. He is trying to bring balance and help everyone but you lose more when you try to win in every way. I feel his struggle and its a good Arc. He might break if this tension continues and we wont know what he will do or lose. Great RP.
True. I feel like most people (including me) feels frustrated with Benji is because he doesn't communicate well with his thought. I'm not an expert in communicating whatsoever but I really do feel there are better ways to convey what he's feeling. Ya know? Still great rp from Lysium. Just don't like Benji that much lol
@@justdina14 I mean, this was a situation that involved Dundee, the company and Ray Mond. Dundee is literally his best friend and him and the bbmc were being set up as the main money-cleaning operation for The Company (we are talking about hundreds of thousands $ every day). And the other side is Ray Mond who is also his friend and is the clear victim in this situation.
Benji just have too much influence in the life and business of his best friend to not be extremely careful with his steps.
it's weird how Dundee and Ray's past is being forgotten. they make it seem like Dundee was only against Ray because of Bonbon. but Dundee went to the canals to attack her when Bonbon wasn't even after Ray again yet, and it was clowns that protected her from that.
Yep, Dundee even asked Bon Bon to help him set up Ray when Bon Bon was just a hangaround. Bon Bon told Dundee that he would prefer not to but would do it if Dundee wanted him to, which Dundee then did not as he did not want to put Bon Bon in a bad spot.
God this arc is so fucking good. I’d say it’s one, if not THE, the spiciest storyline of 4.0 ❤🔥 god tier content. Congrats to all the role players involved in this storylines
The Clowns woke a sleeping Dragon at the V.U earlier this year. Content has been getting better as they have been together.

I think it’s very apparent that ray really keeps her part clown life to herself quite a bit so it’s understandable for people like Benji to not understand how much she trusts them. He’s in the wrong for not taking her seriously when she’s like “heh I don’t feel safe here at the prom” but I don’t blame him for not seeing the relationship with the clowns.

@@havenly23 they know each other from 3.0 but didn't hang out much, Ray was full in on gang and Ash started as more of a civ, so they really only got to see each other in passing for the most part.

Benji was 100% more concerned about how this would affect his relationship with Dundee than how ray mond felt or how it affected the company. He even told Dundee if ray went after Bon Bon again he expected Dundee to get bbmc involved. Then here he tells chatterbox the opposite that he would defend ray. Can’t make up his mind.
It's not that Benji can't make up his mind, he's telling them what he thinks they want to hear to smooth over the relationsship.
Dundee was making it seem like it was Ray Mond and all of the clowns vs. Bonbon alone. so I'm sure Benji was thinking of it as clowns vs. bbmc business instead of as Ray vs Bonbon business.
Benji went corporate capo. At the end of the day hell get the job done but there is 50 miles of red tape before it gets done.
You do realize, he drove straight to Dundee's house the moment he heard Dundee stabbed Ray Mond with the blickey he picked up for her and was going to take him out right? He wasn't home and Ray Romanov had to beg Benji to think with his head and not his heart.
Then Benji hinted to Ray Mond he had her back and to say her *piece* as in take them out. She misunderstood entirely. He set up his best friend, for a girl he cares for. Of course he feels for Dundee, they've been best friends since 2.0.
If roles were reversed, would Ray Mond do the same for Benji if that was April that stabbed/or was apart of stabbing Benji?
I mean he had to choose between his best friend of 8 years at least and a girl he kinda close to that wake up sometimes

This is the core tenant of roleplay. Rae the player was aware from a meta perspective of the trap, and even form being an attentive person and streamer, she realized the exact method of the trap around 30 seconds before her stabbing, but she knows that Ray Mond the character, while being generally suspicious, wouldn’t have caught it. Ray was suspicious enough to keep a full squad of backup but she was too damn curious to grill Dundee about his level of involvement to stay safe.
Ray did said something about trying to stab Dundee first if she gets a chance (when Dundee asked her to talk with him one on one). And if you go back at Rae's vod, you'll see both Bon Bon and Ray pulled out a knife but Ray was a smidgen late and Bon Bon stabbed her first.

16:25 ursala is on to something with her deathwish (ray mond lore/headspace wise) i think she is so confused and sad and searching for her ride or die. But she can't remember how she learned stuff and why she has this hole in her life. She keeps trying new puzzle pieces and none of them fit. Chatter might be closest. Because of his chaos levels. (Oop i said it!)
But Rae has talked about how its hard for her to figure out what she should and shouldn't know. I think thats why she did the academy, because she 'knew' a lot of crime behavior/mentality that she has no way of saying who taught her. This will patch that hole in her lore/backstory.

I really thought that all the "academia" thing was going to be something mid, but after the lessons by K, Dundee and Martyn, it just changed my mind, specially after watching January "vulturing" PD cars.

TBH it seems like Ray Mond's only true friends (until this very moment) are Chatterbox and Twinkles. Benji is wayyyy off, wanna see if Mickey has Ray Mond's back in the future (even after Company ends Dundee's contract).
Also, Chatterbox and Ray Mond has been one of the best friendship novela ever, especially after this 'war' with BonBon :D
Did you see Mickeys POV after Dundee and BonBon got gunned down? He went up to & threatened BonBon about not hurting her ever again.
There is no guarantee that TC end the contract and after hearing TC talk about the situation, the frustration overall was not that Ray Mond was attacked but that it happened at a Company event. If it were anywhere else they would not care. Similar to when Dundee has an issue with Jason POllum and Benji tells Dundee he cannot help him mess with Jason as he is a contractor but Dundee could do what he wants.
Right now TC is very 50/50 on Dundee leaning more toward suspending him. Mickey originally wanted to remove him but unsure where his mind is at now and he and OTT still want to chat to Dundee before a decision is made. Benji of course is for keeping a contract with Dundee and Raymond originally sided with MIckey but after a chat with Dundee said he sided more with Benji. TC is very much a neutral party in this that will not get involved further.

He went in saying the only reason he isn’t shooting his way to vengeance is because Ray doesn’t need no man to white knight for her, she can make those calls herself and he will only involve himself and his resources as much as she asks of him
Everyone's rp in this scene is incredible, I really want to see Chatty and BonBon's next interaction. Also don't appreciate all the hate on Benji, the character is supposed to be stubborn and bone headed and even IC it makes sense that he doesn't want to burn bridges with Dundee if he doesn't have to. He makes a lot of stupid points but some of his points in the company meeting and even here make sense. It is probably confusing for someone outside the situation to differentiate between the Ember and Bonbon situation among all the other violence that happens with the clowns. At the end of the day Ray Mond is just a girl Benji likes, not someone he is truly close with, which people weirdly hate on the character for. Ursula is right too, Ray Mond the character does send herself into danger a lot which is another conversation which could be interesting rp-wise.

ray had a bunch of beef going even before the clown stuff. all the gigi stuff and some of the carmella stuff as well. the fact ray didnt tell benji about those as much/the fact it happened so long ago he is choosing to forget it doesnt mean the events didnt play out. she had a lot more active drama with gigi before the clowns showed up. all the clowns did was make her beef more public because instead of a personal fight with a best friend it's messing arround with a clown (which isnt that serious so she can openly tell more people about it).
the only difference is that most of the clown conflicts were not as serious so she was more fine with sharing it with people like benji. all the drama from beforr with gigi was a lot messier and personal and kinda stayed within the group.

This is not a discussion about drama, CB was questioning Benji how he could allow Ray to get hurt (physically), and Benji rightfully pointed out that Ray only started to be hurt since hanging around with the clowns. He is pointing out the hypocrisy of them coming at him pointing fingers when they have failed to protect her on multiple occasions.

That is all she is to TC though. They might be friends with her......but they are friends with Dundee and others. But gangs rarely go to war for friends. In the TC talk they were a very neutral party whose only issue was this happened at TC events. If it did not then TC would not have been involved at all. Ray Mond is not a member of TC and thus not someone they care about in terms of protection.
Let's be real what Raymond do to help the company to be a contractor? All she does is complain when they're doing a job set up

Ursula is 100% right. Ray does put herself into many of these situations where she gets hurt; stirs too many pots a little too hard. I know it is because Valkyrae tries to respect other people's RP. If that wasn't the case, she likely wouldn't have picked Dundee as the date or maybe wouldn't have attended the prom at all and would live in paranoia. But she tries to keep things moving and entertaining for not only her own audience but the audience of every other streamer she interacts with. She could just be a boring grinder character in the city and do nothing but G6 and roof runs and make bank... She's also doing a slow burn of character development. She wouldn't have lasted this long RP'ing if she did that. She's said so herself. So, for entertainment, she does what she does with Ray. The only thing I could fault Rae for doing is making Ray stir about 50 pots simultaneously. It's a little too much at times. So, Ray is reaping what she sowed. Simple as that. Nothing wrong with it as it is free entertainment for us, but it gets a little chaotic to the point of being overloaded and illogical for so many people to stay by a problematic character that just asks for what she gets over and over again. I hope Ray tones back on that a bit, knowing now that she's messing around with people a bit too much.
If she(RAY Mond) didn't ask dundee then this rp wouldn't have happened...I do agree that she's stirring a bit too much but all that stirring lead to this awesome arc and rp...I think she also said that she's (RAY Mond) is reaping what she sowed lol ... we love it tho

People are hating on benji but I actually think he made some great points, she’s gotten hurt the most being around the clowns, she has bon bon stalking her because of her involvement with the clowns and her only icu trip so far in 4.0 was because of the clowns.
I kinda agree a little bit but she did got stabbed 2 times at the Company's event. If Dundee didn't let BB be a mechanic for his class and didn't help BB with the swap at prom, Ray would never get stabbed in the 1st place. Sure, you could lead all this to the day she hung out with BB who was with the clowns at that time but Dundee can also choose not to get involved. I understand why he did tho. Personally, i think both Ray and Bon Bon is not completely in right or wrong. They're complex characters and make some freaking great rp.
Brother, that should always be a given. Being part of a crime group or at least a troublemaker group will always get you hurt. She will get hurt even if she is CG. TBH, that is not what is important here, it is more about the people who will be your ride or die after getting hurt. In this case, the clowns were more on Ray's plans.

I hope ray takes her time to get ready before she gets on. I want her to hold benji accountable for his actions. he is trying to pull a yuno by not really picking a side and painting a more balanced picture in his head for his personal sake. People who say Benji fumbled or took an L on this one don't look at the big picture of RP over the past few months between the two. I don't feel like Benji fumbled at all he's just been put in a really bad position as he's in between a rock and a hard place between Ray Mond and Dundee. Which he cares about both a lot. People forget all the things Benji has done for Ray from day 1 of her being on the server. Before she was friends with the clowns and Chatterbox was harrassing her, Benji showed up outside Snr Buns unmasked with no regard for himself and stabbed Chatterbox to protect Ray. When Chatterbox wanted "revenge" and wanted her to play Clown risk, Benji went with her no questions asked. At the prom when she told him she needed his gun he left to go get it for her no questions asked, you know how many people Benji would willingly give his own gun to? Very few. Basically if Ray calls and needs help Benji is there period has been since she first got on the server. He even set up Dundee to be shot at Legion square, yeah he probably should of told Ray he was setting Dundee up for her. He just didn't want Dundee to know that because Dundee is a friend too.
He also has an extensive history with Dundee, and Dundee has been an integral part of Benji and The Company's heist progression since the beginning. Basically if Benji in trouble and he calls Dundee, no matter what Dundee has his back. So he's in a very bad position here cause he doesn't want to lose either of them as a friend and really has no clue what to do about it.
And honestly Ray doesn't really care about Benji in my opinion. He's just the guy she calls when the clowns aren't around or if CG is too busy to include her in stuff. Hell the only reason she usually asks him to do things is to make other people jealous. Asked him to be her Valentine to make the clowns jealous. Which resulted in Benji getting kidnapped and bonked. If anything I feel Ray has been fumbling with Benji, as he has been a good friend to her. And she just basically uses him when shes bored.

Benji is in denial. Even at prom he tried to get hostile with Kirk when kirk is good friends with Ray Mond and Taco.
Benji is simply trying to place blame on anyone but Dundee as if Dundee's actions justify the means.
11:29 He keeps asking the correct questions that Benji is clearly avoiding. There is no true certainty that Dundee won't retaliate against Ray Mond unless Dundee agrees to not get involved in BonBon personal matter with Ray Mond.
The Clowns have Ray Mond's back no questions asked. CLOWNS cannot negotiate with Dundee and Benji can, yet Benji is being insufferable in his neutrality and denial trying to place blame instead of helping in solutions.
Dundee, Benji and The Company already have a much of meetings during this situation. The thing got extremely serious to the point one side was arguing for Dundee to be completely cut out of everything, and he isn't a regular contractor like Ray mond, he and his group were being built to be part for the biggest money-cleaning operation in the city. We are talking hundreds of thousands per week alone.
Cutting Dundee from that deal would be multiple times bigger and more important than anything the Clowns or Ray could ever do. That's why Dundee tried everything in his power to please The Company after it happened, accepting any punishment and promising to not escalate this any further unless he was hunted.
Benji and Dundee have been best friends for almost 10 irl years, Lysium knew what actually is at stake in this situation and that's why he stood where he stood.
@@TexYMatt98 The money cleaning involves multiple groups and currently TC only had one deal of 70k. TC def could pump in more with how much weed they sell but BBMC have more than enough coming in with multiple groups reaching out including CG, Hydra, Mary’s gang and more. In reality, BBMC has not gained much from the TC connection. The reason Dundee reacted the way he did is two fold.
One, he wants to keep doing heists with his friends in TC. Second, during 3.0 Dundee lost many of his connections due to what he saw as his mistakes, so now Dundee seeks more for compromise as he sees the importance of connections.

Benji was not trying to help her get a lick back, he just wanted it to be done with. He was fine with Bon Bon being shot, but did not want Dundee shot and why he took him to the hospital after and not Bon Bon. Benji has even expressed that he felt bad that he kinda set up Dundee to be shot even though it was not his intention. I think he expected Dundee to be more made at him but Dundee wasn't. Keep in mind, Ray Mond is just someone he likes where Dundee has been his best friend for years.
Ngl I get both sides but I do think Chatty is more on the right than Benji.

Dundee should remember that if BBMC steps in for BonBon, CG stepping in for Ray would only make sense. Let alone the clowns and company and whoever else
TC will not step in no matter what as they are very much neutral and do not see it as thier issue.At this point however, At this point, BBMC sees the situation as over and are under orders to not attack Ray Mond or Clowns and only fight back if a BBMC is attacked. if someone attacks Bon Bon, BBMC will step in to defend their member. Now if it is just Ray Mond v Bon Bon.....then I could see BBMC letting it just be a Bon Bon side story. But if Ray Mond uses the clowns then it is a bit odd to expect BBMC to just watch a member being attacked by a group and expect them not to intervene.
Hell, CG are well aware of the situation and already saw Dundee and Bon Bon at prison and didn't do anything. In that situation, CG was under the impression BBMC was coming up to prison to attack CG for some reason so they went up blasting. Dundee called K telling them they are on the same side and CG left. So idk how involved in this Ray situation CG will be which is fair cause it is a very awkward situation to have two groups defending someone cause that is just bound to shut down RP.
I doubt CG goes anywhere near this. They are all for backing her in SBS or non-gang conflict, but she hasn't hung out with them to where they would go to war for her. You need to remember that in 3.0 most of her CG interactions were with Randy, April, Taco, and Ramee (with Vinny and K mixed in). A vast majority of the current CG barely know her. The leadership does but they aren't blind to the fact that she has talked to them for less than an hour in all of 4.0 combined.

Benji is more concerned about Dundee’s place in the company all he wanted from Ray was for her to get her lick back so she would get over it to make sure that he could still work with Dundee and keep him as a contractor.

Only reason she invited Dundee to prom was to kill him and/or bonbon and it backfired on her cause they beat her to it. So yeah it kind of was her decision. I feel like you do not understand what Benji wants, his relationship with Dundee, and how TC view this situation. Benji's goal is that both sides just move on and let things go. To him, Ray Mond is just someone he likes and though he does not care about Bon Bon, Dundee is a friend he has known for YEARS. So him playing this middle ground very much makes sense.
As for TC....their issue is that it happened at TC events not that Ray Mond was attacked. As they see it, this feud is not thier issue and if it continues or doesn't, they do not care as long as it stays out of TC events and does not involve TC. It makes sense as that is how most gangs will approach this.

Benji sounded dismissive, confused or as if he wasn't taking her serious, but he actually was taking her serious, he went to get her a gun and he made sure she could confront Dundee and Bon Bon with the company there to back her up, giving her the power to do whatever she wanted.
But he doesn't communicate any of it, that's his biggest weakness, he communicates really poorly.
He went to get her a gun, but I think what he struggles to admit to himself is that he wanted there to be a peaceful resolution, even when he “set Dundee up”, he was still hoping things could work out, even though Ray told him over and over from the beginning that was not possible.
He cares, but his interest in Ray Mond blinds him from actually understanding her perspective and needs.

And the music at the party really did not help at all. he even said he felt bad when ray was shot but he couldnt be there for her. he went straight to the hospital after getting the gun. but bad move, instead of being on her side, he went to talk to kirk that he lost track of where she was going. if only he stayed, the gun ray used to shoot dundee would be his gun. and that might mean a bit more something to ray.

The reason for that is Benji wants this to end. His goal is for both sides to just let bygones be bygones and with BBMC he already has that cause he knows that if Bon Bon goes against Dundee's order, Dundee will shoot Bon Bon himself. So now his focus is on the clowns calming down Ray Mond. That is why he gave a lot of false promises like saying TC would back them while also telling the clowns that Dundee and Bon Bon will do nothing further and encouraging them to do the same

If Ray had not been so involved with the clowns, this feud would never have happened. Hell, the reason Ray Mond was lying to Bon Bon was for the other clowns. Benji knows that Ray Mond has played her own part in this feud and that it is not one-sided. So with all that, his POV makes sense.
Time to ocean dump Bon Bon and Dundee and be done with the whole drama. Granted less RP but it’s a solution.
