Just the series I've been waiting for! Lots of content on UA-cam covering this and that related to 12V's, but not an in depth start to finish rebuild. My request as you progress is: keep the information coming, try not to skip steps or gloss over explanations as so many do. I get it, you cant go over EVERY detail, but know that I for one really appreciate all the information I can get. I've got the garage, the tools and the ambition... your series will help boost my confidence and tackle my 97 12V that has so much blow-by I feel like I've got 2 exhaust pipes! lol. Subscribed.
This is what I hoping for. Non is this is hard. Just need the info. Thanks for watching
Time lapse music made me want to go to a disco, well done thank you.
thanks lol
Here from 5.9 page on Facebook. Nice work
Thanks
Thank you for doing this series!

Rob, you have done this a time or two.. Great to see a man that knows what he is doing...
You have the most informative Cummins content I have ever seen on UA-cam. Thanks for posting this series
thanks, if you would mind please share let everyone know
Yes saw it on Facebook, glad you decided to do it!
Thanks for coming over. Ya hopefully it will help a bunch of guys
Loving this series. I just removed my 12 valve from my 92 W250 and Its ready for the rebuild. I have the tools and the ambition, I just hope that I dont screw it up haha

Yeah i started posting a few videos of my own to
Great info rob. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It'll come in handy in the not to distant future.
🙏
Thanks for these videos bro. I'm in the process off rebuilding my 97 12v as well. Cam retainer bolts backed out and broke the cam gear and cam retainer. Think kdp had a part to play too because it ain't in its hole lol. Bent my push rods pretty sure that my valves are bent but haven't pulled them out the head. Keep the series going man they are greatly appreciated man
Ya sucks when that happens. Thanks for watching!
Yes..thank you for taking time and making this videos for us!! I have a 97 reg cab 12 valve 4x4
I am glad people are watching. Sweet if you have IG tag me in a post
@@CUTTERUPROB I dont think I do..maybe my daughters have me signed up on Insta ...haha
Tha ks for taking the time to make all the content you put out, its been great. I have a 12 valve thas going to have to come apart, probably next summer. But this will be a good guide. Thanks again.
Glad the video’s are helpful
Excellent explanation 👌 🎉
Thanks for sharing, great info
Thanks for watching!
great video we,put a 6.7 on a 06 runs bad at low idle do we need to swap inlectors that makes no sence to me. thanks for any advice
if your running the 06 injector it wold run bad , spray angle is wrong
Hey Rob
Quick question regarding the parts washer, what would be the best way to clean the block, head, cam, etc in case you don’t have the big washer available?
Thanks man once again for your time and for sharing your knowledge! Best on UA-cam, hands down!!!
thanks for watching. power washer works. diesel and brush works. lot of different
Nice
Thanks for watching
Rob, appreciate the minty walkthroughs! With 3200 rpm spring on 60lb springs, are there any further precautions to take aside from better oil as you said? This is for a non i/c 90 5.9 w250. I’m doing a full rebuild with 155 bowls 150hp injectors, BW 362sxe, arp studs, and ve rebuild.
Oil temp is a big thing to watch.
Where exactly are you in Canada ? I'm in BC and would love for you to take a look at my Fummins have a bit of a problem with power. I can't figure it out.
Great tutorial videos....How'd the turbo look?I'm just wondering if it had something to do with the damage.
I am leaning more towards a fuel issue though.....I'm looking at the whole series now....thanks.
Turbo from that engine was right full on metal. That injector had a crack in the nozzle
This one doesn't have that large round cylinder on it for the coolent?
What we talking about here
Sir how to check blowby?
I will have to do a video
Hey Rob, what’s that engine stand your using?
The yellow one is just a 2000lbs one
My 6th injector got stuck inside and when pulling only the top half came off. that being said the bottom is left to be stuck inside and will not come up would i have to tear it down the to head or is there a way of getting it out ? 93/5.9
Pretty hard to get them out when they do that. Likely will have to pull the head off
Can you tell me what the 2 bolt bracket in the timing cover below the water pump is for?
Thanks for sharing these videos! Liked and subscribed! From Connecticut 👍
The two studs ? If so there for the crank sensor
Yup that’s the bracket on the studs...would a 95 12valve 5speed have that sensor? Thanks!
@@roofer4kidz913 no problem
What would be the best/easiest cummins swap for a gmc? I'd like a 6.7 but don't that will be a easy as a p pump 12v
At this point they’re all pretty easy. Just the commonrail will cost more as there is wiring and programming needed
@@CUTTERUPROB can it be ran on a p pump so I can run black diesel?
@@petervanguilder6276 yep sure can. But at that point way cheaper to run a 12v
@@CUTTERUPROB no benefits to having the 6.7 converted over?
@@petervanguilder6276 there is but the extra money unless you really want one doesn’t make sense
How much would you charge to rebuild one that threw a bearing?
Hard to tell you with out having it apart for a inspection
So what's your preference a 12valve or a 24valve Cummins
Depends on what your doing
Thanks! Starting my first rebuild. Shoot me your address and I’ll send you a case of PB Blaster lol
Would rather listen to you working with some commentary then that horrible sound you call music
working on doing some better for the time lapse parts. my editing software is limited.
I just put up part 2 with commentary let me know what you think
