ER is number 1 in my all time favorite list of TV shows, but one thing that always frustrated me can be seen in this scene. Maggie Doyle departing was one of those. She left in season 5 without any explanation or mention whatsoever. Only here, 2 FULL SEASONS LATER, do we get a sense of why she left (supposedly Romano drove her out).

He had child protective services remove the boy from his abusive father and put him in foster care. The angry father barged into the foster home and opened fire on the employees looking for his son. He shot several employees at the foster home then ran off when he couldn't find his son there. Fearing that the angry father was heading toward his house, Mark asked the police to go to his house to check on Elizabeth and Ella. The police came, but Elizabeth and Ella were not there. They had gone to the park.
I remember that it was on a thanksgiving in season 13. She was forced to go at last minute right before her shift ended, she wanted to get home to have dinner with Luka and Joe.

That's what I thought too. And Mlungisi wasn't the only man, there was Ellis West from Synergix, whith whom she had an affair. I guess it was a continuity error made by the writers. And maybe it was paired with what is now called Bi-Erase.

It's one of those lighthearted classics tempering all the heaviness, and the quips they trade are great.

Anyway he was in the closet from what I remember and he wanted to Kerry to conceal it. The thing is I don't remember much happening afterwards. I guess she did it because she messed up to.
Yes, and had syphilis, which weaver hid from the records- even though Lewis suspected it. The lover showed up later in the season, Alderman had him get tested- Weaver gave him a shot of penicillin not knowing that he was allergic to it, and eventually died- and weaver had to cover her actions

There was another scene where he said "You're getting the funding no matter what" or something like that. Tom V If I remember correctly, that's why she treated his lover without a chart. The Alderman threatened to close the ER, and she couldn't risk so many people losing health care. She didn't want to treat his lover. She told the Alderman it would be malpractice, she could lose her license, and that she shouldn't have treated him off the record in the first place. She did so because she could relate to wanting to keep her love life a secret. I remembered how upset up she was after the lover died and while some may say it was because she was worried about her career, I believe in that particular moment, she was upset because she felt responsible for his death. That's a lot of guilt to carry. The Alderman reminded her that his lover knew it was a shot of penicillin, so it wouldn't have mattered, but she wasn't convinced. And she looked absolutely defeated the rest of the episode. When Anspaugh offered her the Chief of Staff position, she normally would have accepted that happily, but not after what just happened. Honestly, I'm surprised the writers didn't pursue this further. Well, not that surprised considering she basically disappeared until the middle of Season 10. And then again for most of Season 11 and, 12. Anyway, she wouldn't have been the first doctor to treat a patient without a chart, nor would she have been the first doctor to make a fatal mistake, but it was something definitely worth exploring.
I believe the Elizabeth Mitchell character did end leaving Chicago and then she relocated to some Island that was basically Lost. She ended up working for something called the Dharma Initiative which later changed to being called "the Others." She even ended up turning Straight and falling for the Bad Boy Character- Sawyer who apparently "straightened" her out. She even ended up going back in Time with him.

It varies state to state and court to court, Occasionally judges rule in favor of LGBT+ employees under title VII, but it's largely individual court cases, There is yet to be any comprehensive legislation put in stone for countrywide LGBT+ discrimination protection. Executive orders and Supreme Court decisions can easily be overturned by the next people in charg (like how Trump removed Obama's executive order giving Transgender federal employees and soldiers work protection). Even the current countrywide legalization of same sex marraige in 2015 isn't safe (especially with the current Supreme Court overwhelmingly hard line conservative)
I never really liked her, but her character of Weaver wasn't bidimensionnal (Pun intended) and she was quite believable as a character and interesting. That was why I found this show interesting.
I legit thought for years Laura had an issue with her in real life due to the cane. The fact that more handicap people are acting with legit conditions or injuries. I dont blame Laura for not wanting to use the cane eventually
There was another reason. The constant limp affected her physically and caused problems as a result. Similarly with Hugh Laurie in House, the constant limp caused him problems too. If you have ever experienced a leg injury and had to use a crutch or cane, you will notice very quickly pain in your hips and opposite leg as the stresses change and redistribute in your gait.

Even the current countrywide legalization of same sex marraige in 2015 isn't safe (especially with the current Supreme Court overwhelmingly hard line conservative)

I legit thought for years Laura had an issue with her in real life due to the cane. The fact that more handicap people are acting with legit conditions or injuries. I dont blame Laura for not wanting to use the cane eventually

The constant limp affected her physically and caused problems as a result. Similarly with Hugh Laurie in House, the constant limp caused him problems too.
If you have ever experienced a leg injury and had to use a crutch or cane, you will notice very quickly pain in your hips and opposite leg as the stresses change and redistribute in your gait.
