Thank you for the honest review! We've definitely heard the feedback on the number of things going on at any given point of time, and the base game will include a first-time / beginner mode that simplifies the game (such as no storm cards, no face-up wounds or mitigations, etc.). For people that want a lighter game, they could use that as their de-facto game mode. We totally hear you on the rulebook as well, it is indeed quite rough since (as you mentioned) it is an early prototype version. That certainly contributed to a few of the concerns you brought up (such as playing the adversary wrong). We will, of course, have that professionally edited / laid out prior to delivering the final game :) Thanks once again for the review!

Kenny- this review just came out, and we had to return the prototype, so we won't have a follow up until it gets released. For comparison, our favorite hidden movement games are Mind MGMT and Whitehall Mysteries.

Whitehall Mystery is great for a smaller timeblock. Mind MGMT is currently available, so... That gives it a leg up. :) If my issues with Stifling Dark are addressed, and it becomes more accessible and less scattered, it'd be very close to Mind MGMT. I'd want to see the final version.
