Quick question about which falls under hit versus session versus user: is there a resource that distinguishes which metrics and dimensions fall under which scope?
Hey Julian, this video (and all your content) was immensely useful to me as I acclimate to GA from an Adobe world. Your videos have helped me countless time and I always recommend you to anyone looking to learn GTM. Vielen Herzlichen Dank! - I knew those high school German classes would come in handy one day ;)
Great video thank you. If an Event Goal is recorded by GA but it is desired for a Custom Dimension to be present, does the Custom Dimension need to be manually passed along with the Event, or can the Custom Dimension be set to "Session" scope so that it is always available to use within a filter?
Hi, is there any way to track the session count through hitlevel data capture for the running AD campaign? This is one try to identify the real time session tracking. is this possible or any other alternate way to accomplish this?
Hi Julian, First of all, thank you for your great content. I have a question regarding UserID scope level. What will happen if I set my UserID in session level and user level? Could you please explain the difference? Thanks a lot!
Hi Julian, I'm really liking your content. Watching this one, you have a script connecting your website to a google sheet somehow.... can you share that script?
I love it. This video is really helpful to understand how Google analytics works. @measureschool i just want to know how you created that Google spread sheet where live data coming up automatically.
Hi Julian, thank you for the response. Do you have some video where i can start my google analytics beginnger study and from there i can go to the advance one?
It does not come automatically but is like, its Google Analytics AddOn for Google Sheet, there you can set up Dimensions & Metrics to import into your Sheets report! I use it and is great
Yes, I have been using advance filter but when I used the number it gave doesn't have any logical explanation, and why I tried to fixed out or wondering how they game that.
Hm, why you fired 1 bounce rate when user look only 1 page? Maybe he interacted with content and made some event, so its hasnt be a bounce 100% / need to add little assumptions, that in this 1 page session we didnt fired any event
Julian, great example and explanation of scope really made things even more clearer in the Analytics thanks again.
Thanks Julian, the Google Sheets simulator really helps bring the concept to life!
Julian, that's so clear! thank you! I know professionals who are analysing these data without clear vision of what exactly they analyse.
Finally get a clear picture of what scope is about, thank you so much!
you truly made my day... i was confused about scope and searching for answers since last one week.
Glad I could help!
that's so clear example! Thanks for your video! it is really helpful!!
Very good explanation and breakdown. Which is the next video you recommend I watch to help understand all the groupings better?

Great video! How do you have the excel sheet dynamically pull the data in real time?
Before watching this video I was guessing the scope but now I learned it without a doubt. And better than GA course. Thanks, Julian!
glad it helped
Thank you very much for this video! Clear and simple explanation of a bit confusing topic.

Hi Julian, First of all, thank you for your great content.
I have a question regarding UserID scope level. What will happen if I set my UserID in session level and user level? Could you please explain the difference?
Thanks a lot!
not sure what you mean. UserID is always set on user level.
Sorry, If I send the user id as a custom dimension.

Great video!
Where I can have these data scope of my Google Analytics, my boss asking about how many user they are in one page?
In Google Analytics you can see the data in various forms. You could build a custom report or use advanced segments in GA.
Yes, I have been using advance filter but when I used the number it gave doesn't have any logical explanation, and why I tried to fixed out or wondering how they game that.
Thank you :)
simply Awesome

As a digital marketing class in university, it is good

yea, that's true - I was talking about the pageview tracking, this was a very standard scenario.
i thought a hit was only meant for a visit to a tagged url
well, now you know
thanks
Session is not explained correctly. A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity, it is not limited to 30 minutes.
cheers... yea, you are right
Julian you should start a Patreon account
yea, thought about that...
