    Thanks Jake, it was a pleasure to meet you. Just installed the Dyno Jet tune. You are 100% correct, that stupid plastic cap is the most difficult part, just have to pull pretty hard to get it off. Took my KRX for a test drive and I noticed a difference in the throttle response and it accelerates faster, but I don’t think I gained anything on top speed. However I did run out of runway to push any harder. So I could be wrong about that. Regardless, I think the Dyno Jet is worth $$$ and so far I am happy with it.

    you should put a battery tender/charger on the battery while doing a tune.... one thing that can fry an ecu is a loss of power while programming.... just simple insurance to help make it as successful as possible..... PV3 was awesome for my KRX..... one nice thing of note about the PV3... the screen will rotate so no matter how you mount it, it can be changed to read upright. mine is permanently mounted where our presenter showed folks mounting theirs- to the left of the dash... i have the customizable display show the fuel trims and throttle percentage.... fuel trims so i can know if it's adding high short and long term fuel trim then i know I'm running lean- which can cause engine damage, and throttle percentage so i can know if I'm getting full throttle or not....

    That lecture you gave about all the merits of the Dynojet PV3 was like fourplay with my girlfriend telling her about how good it is going to be,....with no conclusion !! What are the real improvement gained, what did it cost and why should I purchase the item ????

      Good way to put it. Lol. However I thought I covered a few times that it is the best mod I’ve done to my krx. More power, more throttle response, lower fan temps, and full power reverse to name a few.

      Yes and no. factory gearing is your speed limiter. This will help everywhere but will not increase top speed unless your car was running lean which most of them do. This will indeed help that but you won’t see much gain on the top in with the Tuner unless you go to a larger tire.

    • @fullaccessutv
      @fullaccessutv  3 роки тому +1

      On the Tuner screen it does not ask you those questions. However you can go to their website and pick a tune for a aftermarket muffler. I had the same pop on deceleration with the stock muffler and the catalytic converter removed. I called them and they made a slight adjustment for me and now everything is great.

  • @HunterRRofficial555
    @HunterRRofficial555 3 роки тому

    Is it worth putting the tune in with a stock exhaust or should I change the exhaust as well I have heard people say they still had popping and back firing with the tune that comes on the pv3 with the stock exhaust with the cat removed and with mbrp exhaust and had to get a different tune

    • @fullaccessutv
      @fullaccessutv  3 роки тому +1

      It’s absolutely worth doing with no exhaust modifications. As I mentioned in another video changing the muffler is actually showing a loss in horsepower with no gain. However I have experienced some popping on deceleration with the catalytic removed. You can run the tune for a different muffler that is on their website. That would alleviate the issue. I hope that answers your question.

    Do you know if there is a way to load a "stock" tune back onto my ECU, I had someone send me a stock tune. I have a VFJ tune. John will flash it back for free but I thought I might be able to do this myself with the PV3. I called Dynojet and they said the PV3 will not work without a stock tune installed. I am thinking I can upload from my computer to the tuner and then manually install. Then install the Kraftwerks tune needed for my supercharger. Kind of tough question. I still was able to download a new tune out of the dynojet and replace the tune i previously had. Before I fired the engine though, i talked to 3 people at dynojet to verify it was not going to be "Stacking" tunes and it would be ok. There's a big catch that DynoJet doesn't go out of their way to explain clearly on their website. Once you buy this thing and pair it to your KRX, you can NEVER un-pair it unless you pay them another $250 for "another license." I didn't know this when I bought it, so when I decided I didn't want to use it, I was going to un-pair it and sell it. Nope, can't unless you're willing to pay more. It's a major rip. On every other tuner I've ever had (such as for my car or truck), you can un-pair the unit so you can sell it. Not so with this thing.
