I am a gardener, that hates raking. So I have given my husband the honorary title for his job as " under gardner", he is in charge of basically the jobs I don't want. He's a very good sport about this.

Always water your roses from the bottom don't use sprinklers. Also when you pluck the leaves off of your roses put them in a bag in the trash. Don't drop them near any of your roses. Black spot spreads fast. Happy Birthday to your husband!

Best vlog I think I have ever seen from you except the first time I saw you & you were in the garden showing everyone around. I know you watch Fashion Mumbler & she is focusing on her garden now & really love how excited she gets (like you) when she is planting with her pups beside her. Thrifting is fun but when that is all you show it can become mundane. You look years younger dressed like today & your simple ponytail is perfect. Thinking Laura wanted to travel more and she was pushing you to grow bigger when you were not feeling the need. Partnerships are hard to maintain when you are not wanting the same things for your business. You have addressed the problem with class and honesty so thank you.

I just discovered you. I know this is an older video so I don’t know if you will see my comment or not, but I almost gasped out loud when I saw the little daisy pin. I have one very similar that my 57 year old son bought me ( with his daddy’s help), when he was six years old. How fun!

Quick tip about hedge trimming - I put an old sheet down where I am trimming and pull it along each time I move along. Result - beautiful hedge and no raking!

Great birthday treats & gifts! Yes, babies breath does grow in your climate. When I lived in Bellingham in the 80’s I had an enormous one in my yard & I do mean giant! Each fall & winter I would cut it all back & it would grow back twice as big! I would trade my friends cuttings for things I couldn’t do, like painting a landscape, etc. ♥️

Everything inside and outside is soooooo pretty! I love the herbs in pots on your yellow cart! I have an iron tea cart from the 50’s and you inspired me to fix mine up and put herbs in pots on it, that’s so pretty and will be useful to cook with! I always get so much inspiration from you! I am in eager expectation always for your next video. The content is beautiful but interesting. Your mom and her funny eclectic style "the uglier the better" and you on the opposite side of the spectrum. Your home only gets more beautiful. Pete is awesome in that he is so supportive. There’s no one like you, Selena! Your videos are rich with the very best content, you make us all feel welcome. 😘 I understand about the roses and black spot, I’ve over 30 rose plants, and I hate the fungus! I’m sure you know not to water the foliage, especially at evening time- I use a teaspoon of baking soda in a quart of warm water, and spray them liberally. The more sun they get, the better! You’re wise to simply pluck the black spot off, especially on the ground, lastly, try and not splash dirt on the leaves. Sending very much love! Xoxo

My dad always used old Pantera cloth or old sheets an I use blue tarps when I shape my bushes just tuck under walk on them trim away an pull Way roll up shake in to bin an the raking is minimal I usually just take my little blower and blow it out into the grass and then I mow it up when I mow but I know what you mean it's a pain in the butt getting all that stuff up just thought I'd pass that on

FYI , You can replace the wooden balls for marbles . On you treasure hunts you can find marbles. You need the larger what they call the shooter marble. Ask your Mom she should know about them.

You could cover the wooden fence with pvc lattice panels in white for a maintenance free solution. No painting and it comes in lots of styles. Not cheap looking anymore.

Get some Espoma Rose Tone fertilizer and some fresh organic compost for mulching underneath. Your local garden center probably has something for the black spot.

Now is the time to spray your rose Selena- don’t leave it give it a spray now!! Also make sure you pick up any infected leaves from the ground as these infect your rose. Hope that helps from England!!
I believe it looks absolutely beautiful without anything added to lower shelf because it has beautiful marble & detail metal in addition displays the gorgeous bold vintage lamp with similar marble to full advantage . with detail workmanship it should be displayed to full glory .
