I've been using this guys backing tracks for more than a year now, and i still see no improvement of my playing. No matter how hard i practice, i can't seem to see myself playing any jazz fusion or any types of jazz very good. What should i do? :(
Best advice I ever got was to make sure that whatever you play contains the information necessary to understand the tune. Like, someone could hear your solo without the track and know what the tempo, groove, and chord changes roughly are. That doesn't mean to fill up every moment, it just means your time feel and harmonic knowledge are incorporated into your melodic phrases. Hope that helps!
Dude the solo at the end was incredible man
Toes in the sand at a beach bar with this one Guitar Man. Thanks as always.
