I'm here as a testimony that by the grace of God you can and will recover from PCS. I swung my head harshly into a sharp edge of a table in 2012. I felt whiplash movement. The onset of my PCS came on about 5-6 days later... Like a delayed reaction. Every symptom you can think of, i had it. EVERY ONE. Full recovery was about 2 years more or less (it wasn't at its worst the whole entire time.) My remaining symptoms are eye floaters and light sensitivity... Otherwise I am NORMAL. One day at a time by the grace of God, call onto him and acknowledge him and be grateful... He will heal you ❤️🙏

@@braininjurydiy yes i did, but i also discovered my b12 was low which can contribute to Dysautonomia.. my iron was low, vitamin D, working on those levels now. I also had h pylori stomach bacteria... I recovered from my injury symptoms and now, 7 years later, from a lot of stress i declined again.. with dysautonomia symptoms.. so i ran a lot of tests like endoscopy... Blood work etc .. to discover vitamin deficiencies etc i need to correct. My panic attacks are worse than ever so I'm thinking of starting 5mg Lexapro. Did you do any tests etc? Use any meds? I actually did recover from PCS without meds and was fine for 6 years .... Now here I am.

It's been almost 2 years already and I'm still not better, it's hard. I was hit by a vehicle towards the end of 2019, I had the common symptoms but I never knew about either concussion or PCS then so I thought I'd just shake it off.
I went to several doctors months after that to complain of memory and vision issues, they recommended me a pair glasses saying I was astigmatic and that every other symptom was merely psychological.
Well it isn't cause now my case is worse and I feel really depressed. I am a final year Chemistry student in college and I fear I might need to defer and I won't graduate with my friends. I'm so sad.

I wish I had this in high school, but they misdiagnosed my PCS as anxiety disorder, and treated me for that. They didn't understand why I was so tired, almost always tardy, could only do four out of five school days a week... support is everything. I was academically smart, but I was so tired, foggy, and forgetful; they didn't know how to help me.
Since I've had the diagnosis and have had treatment, and I am doing a lot better now. But I don't want anyone to go through what I did; it's horrific and isolating.

      🤦‍♀️
SO sorry you went through that!!
It is estimated that almost half a million people *die* each year as a result of misdiagnosis and wrong treatments.. imagine how many misdiagnosis there must be which do not result in death.
      WAY TOO MANY

@Junho Yun Thank you for the kind words! Also, since I posted that original comment 2 years ago, I graduated from college, even though the pandemic had shifted all my courses online. Considering my PCS symptoms and my light sensitivity issues, it was... *interesting!* But I am very proud of that achievement =)

I wish I had all this information Jan 30, 2016 :,( I’ll be sharing this with everyone who doesn’t understand.
Jan 29 got hit twice in the face. Symptoms took 24 hrs to onset. Went to the ER with full fledged everything (nausea, dizziness, sharp pains, etc).
Still suffer. It’s been 6 years and 8 months. Slightest touch to the head can cause symptoms. I’m foggy, tired, can’t read, memory issues, light and screen sensitivity, mood swings from angry to sad.
