Excuse the question but are these American marines ?!? Philippine marines wearing the same uniform as American marines? Usmc have been doing this drills for a very long time.
The Philippine Miliitary was built by the Americans during the Commonwealth. It's a shared tradition. Once upon a time the Philippines was pretty much like Hawaii.
As Philippines was once under U.S control, they adopted the ways and uniforms of some the U.S Armed Forces branches as like you are seeing, the Dress Blues. There is a difference if you go to Google and search up "Philippine Marine Corps Dress Blues" and it looks similar, but the emblem on their cover is different. Im not sure what it is, but it is NOT the Eagle, Globe and Anchor. That is USMC. So in conclusion, Philippines decided to adopt this tradition from the U.S.
