I really do dig your outside lessons with some actions and events. It makes my brain working much better! I guess, it's one of my favourite videos you've ever made, Brent!! Thank you so much! But I so have a question: is there any difference to use these verbs with a bike (not a motorbike), not with a car? Maybe, we should say "to go by bike by an American flag". Because I'm not sure if we can use the verbs "pull" and "drive" with bikes.
Let's see. On a bike. Hmmmm. You could use the verb, pedal. I will pedal past an American flag. I pedal by the American flag. Yes, bike can be used too. I am going to bike to school today.
although I've watched this video 2 days ago~but it's definitely worth to watch again and again~thanks to teacher Brent offers sneak peek for members only~Hey Guys welcome to become members then you will get sneak peek as well😁😁😁
Great video. Mega useful, loaded with phrasal verbs & new ones ease out & pull out the car into. Learners will find it helpful & a piece of cake to retain the information. Awesome video once again, sir!
Excellent way to teach English. I think that vocabulary sticks better when there is a visual and audio presentation. Thank you very much. I finally grasped the variations of verb "pull"😁😁 Charly is a highlight of the video. Best regards from Ukraine
@@AmericanEnglishBrent When you show it just right there, in action, my mind works with it in a way it should work. I mean, I get it naturally. Thank you again, Brent.
Super duper cool lesson! I really enjoy the outdoor lessons. Speaking of which, would you happen to have lesson on giving directions? For example, when someone asks you where the toilet is, or how to get to the nearest gas station, etc. I often get so nervous when giving directions to others and they will have a hard time understanding me 😂
Good morning teacher. My name rapy. I come from Cambodia. I want to learn more with you because now for writing listening speaking reading I can a little bit.please teacher thanks 🙏
It's interesting how similar your area is to Australia. It's almost exactly the same and it feels the same. Roads, signs, houses, cleanliness. The spoken language is slightly different though.
Hi again, Brent! Thanx for the vid! One off-topic question. You called that wonderful bird a parrot (I think that's the general term for a group of birds, including those green ones that can mimic our speech to some extent; we call it "ARARA" here in Brazil; and the green, smaller kind, "PAPAGAIO".), but if I called it a macaw, would you understand it? Or rather, would it be right too? If so, would it common too? See ya!
At 3:06 you said "because I took my son to hockey practice last night". Now, BrE doesn't use "practice" in this sense. They say "training session", which is a countable noun. And is "practice" countable in AmE? Does this example work ? AmE: We’ve had four practices this week. I’m exhausted. = BrE: We’ve had four training sessions this week. I’m exhausted.
Yes, we would totally say that in American English. That's interesting. I didn't know that about British English. One of my Polish friends told me this weekend that out of all the European countries, Poland has the most love for the United States. I wonder if this is true.
@@AmericanEnglishBrent Well, I would say it is true. I guess this is all history and business. Poland is a post-communist country, yet now our economy is growing rapidly and the rich western countries in Europe dislike it and are afraid of us. They do their best to supress us, especially Germany. Germany wants to be power number one in Europe and they are, partly or pehaps mostly by making Eastern Europe dependent on it. They want us to buy Geman cars, do the shopping in German supermarkets or use German devices. Their shops like Lidl or Kaufland are everywhere. Here in Cracow you can see Lidl literally in every corner. I hate it. Germans took advantage of us while trasnforming from communism to free-market and it has stayed like that. From all the Eastern Europe countries , Poland is the biggest; we are in the lead of Eastern Europe and I guess other Easter Europe countries wait for our to stand up to the western Europe "hegemony". Plus they hate us for our Christian values. We don't support gay marriages, we don't support abortion. They do their best to change it. So the opposition parties are sponsored by the West and they do all they can to show our present conservative government as tyrants, backward idiots. Plus Germany attacked us and ruined in the world war II. They never paid for the war losses. They robbed us of gold, art and absolutely ruined the capital of Poland, Warsaw. Then, on the east side, there is Putin's Russia, which also has always attacked and robbed us. So we are alone in between Russia and Germany, counting on the US help if need be. Please read about "Katyn massacre" in wikepedia. The Russians killed 22, 000 of our intelligentsia. They wanted is to be a primitive, uneducated nation depended on them. Hope we stay strong or even stronger. Well, at least, that's how I see the current situation. The opposition supporters will call me an idtiot as they see Germany and western Europe countries as the best friends.
I think, in Russian we would say "вливаться в трафик" или "вливаться в поток". I mean, when you go from the first road to another, and there are some cars on the other street, you will get your car between them. (In Russian: сворачивая на другую улицу, мы как бы вливаемся в поток машин на этой улице). Hope that helps!
That's interesting. You use 87-octane gas. Here in Europe we don't even have it. We have either 95 or 98. I use the cheaper 95, which is still better than your most expensive 91. You cars must have much poorer efficiency

I drove away in the video. When the car went further down the street.
thankx teacher ,great video.

So true, Konstantin.
Do you always follow the detour sign? Does it oblige you to turn that particular direction? Or this sign just recommends you to go another way?
Yes, you must follow it because the road is closed up ahead. Great question.
i’m curious ppl from canada they use Measure like a gallon as you do?
They measure in liters.

don't have anyone at the gas pumps to take the money?
No, we can go inside and pay a cashier, though.
amazing, here in Brazil unhappily many people aren't trusted and this kind of things are impractical. I hope that one day become better
Why do Americans like Toyota so much ..?! Isn’t it a Japanese company?
It is, but Toyotas often last forever. Really good cars.
