“A trend in school shootings” may be one of the darkest, most awful things I’ve ever heard. Nothing about this should be a trend.
"Trend" = Twice. This being the second case.
Never trust Newspeak
The trend is media coverage, giving names to the nameless. They perpetuate it by giving notoriety to the suspects-- which is what they want to begin with. Outlaw the coverage of such events and it will seize to exist.

None of us know the details, so until we do, we need to hold our judgement. Unless the parent did something illegal or otherwise directly contributed to his kid’s actions, he shouldn’t be charged. The kitchen knife analogy is a good one. If your kid robs a bank, the parent should get charged with bank robbery? Makes no sense.
I would normally agree with you, except the FBI was investigating this kid a year earlier. The father knew about this, gave him a gun anyway. It’s extremely hard to say that he didn’t support his kids wish of shooting up a school when the first emerging details show the father in this light.
As a 19-year middle school teacher, I'm over parents buying their teenagers guns and not being accountable for the actions of their children. It's a long time coming.
If parents aren't afraid to buy their kid a gun, something is wrong with the parent.
Hi 👋
We had guns in our homes and knew how to use them by age 8. None of us are criminals. None of us are mentally disturbed. None of us have ever shot anyone. Most of the people I know had exactly the same upbringing I had. This problem isn’t because of guns and it isn’t because of parents giving guns to their kids. Your concern right now should be about the political group that created soft targets at schools by making them “gun free zones” with a big old sign that says so, then advocates for removing armed officers from schools because of “equity disparity” whatever the hell that means, and an FBI that always seems to have known about the subject months to years before an attack. You should probably also be questioning how it is that those posts he was cleared of making were so sophisticated and coming from random locations that the FBi knew about when we have documented proof that that agency has incited people to commit crimes before. It’s also weird that that same FBI tends to always have a left leaning bias. Funny how that happens right?
@lizaaltizer7775 same here sister ❤ they blame guns as if it will shoot itself. My dad bought me and all my siblings guns and we ain't no killers. We're all working to take care of our families and honor God.
@@lizaaltizer7775 what is your solution? more guns? dumb take. we need meaningful common sense gun laws. this doesnt happen anywhere else in the world. nowhere else in the world are parents terrified of taking their kids to school because of this.
@@lucasdudeBut muh rights to own murder machines.
So if you are making payments on a car and your son runs someone over with that car and kills them, you will be charged for manslaughter.
Wee Todd
Nah a gun isn’t the same as a car
Cars are not guns
I see you like to compare your apples with your oranges.
Anything can be used as a weapon, but a weapon cannot be used as anything else.
this is not right , you cant hold the father responsible for the sons actions
the FBI caught him researching it and intervened, but couldnt do anything since no crime was committed, then the dad buys him an AR. they father should be locked up
Yes you can. No 14 year old needs an assault rifle. That's poor parenting
I think parents need to be held accountable! But the 180 years in prison for parent. I think it is ridiculous
I agree!! Terrible!! Very sad… to take justice to such an extreme!
True, should be death
4 people died because he didn’t take his son seriously. He is just as guilty as his kid in my eyes.
180 years is fine, so other parents can learn from it, and teach their kids to be better humans.
this is so wrong why dont they arrest the gun maunfacturer also this is bull crap and a field day gold mine for lawyers
The father bought the gun the child couldn't legally own and gave it to him. This was AFTER he and the child were interviewed in MAy of 2023 by Le for threats or comments he made on line that were forwarded to the FBI. Do you still feel the same?
Well, the gun manufacturer didn’t kill anybody or have anything to do with it so no, they shouldn’t be charged. When someone gets drunk and kills a family on the road with their car, you don’t go after the car manufacturer.
Most gun owners in America have never killed anyone with their weapon either.
@@TheVuduYuDu in ga it’s legal to give a 14 year old a gun . The kid can’t own the gun but he can possess it. The police informed the father they have no evidence the boy made any threats due to conflicting ip addresses . In other words boy is innocent
@@Plinkodrinko-m8d it’s legal for long guns not hand guns. It was the sheriff not FBI. It was not enough evidence but no applicable law that could be used.
Can you imagine being 14 and throwing your entire life away.
we were all pretty stupid at 14, but...
At 14 I had a job working at an amusement park in order to buy my own cell phone + cell plan and to save up to purchase my first car. Not all of us were killers at 14
I find the trend to be a bit disturbing tbh. The potential for abuse there is way to high with indirectly prosecuting people to justify that being the new precedent. And they charged him almost immediately which makes me think these are highly emotional actions and not necessarily in the best interest of true justice
I’m not surprised at all after the man who was mentally ill used a gun to kill kids at that grammar school.
His parents got him a gun but we’re not charged.
The government is to blame.
It's called personal accountability. Quit looking for a savior in government like some kinda commie coward.
In this Woke polarizing agenda of a country we live in; I think you could be closer to right then than ever believed possible.
They kinda are...
I don’t understand why the son is charged with 4 counts of murder while the father is only charged with 2. I’m sure there is a reason, I just wished they would have explained that.
I see where this is going. Soon, they'll inact a law saying you can't have any weapons if you have children under 18 in the home. Seize your weapons. 🤯😳😮
No 😂 gun safes + not giving your kids the code / key. It’s LITERALLY that easy.
Charge everyone but the teachers the bullies and the police they mean
Wrong. Just wrong. And bad precedent for the future. Slick though. Very slick on their part. Real Eyes, Realize, Real lies.
Wait why hasn't Crooks father been arrested???
Did he buy him a rifle after he knew he was a threat to the school like this father did?
It's time for me to leave this country
Bye bye
Yesterday i read someone is announcing leaving facebook or instagram or twitter. Today i read someone is leaving his country. 😅
Bye
Take Whoopi with you please. Thanks
lol yeah im sure another country would take you. Let me know how that works out for you.
If parents make fire arms available to to kids should be held accountable! If This is the law it would happen less often 😮
Actually the FBI knew about this kid for a while and allowed him to go to the school with a gun (they use lidar frequencies to see if you have weapons on you from a distance). They are liable for doing a disservice to our country.
This is on the State of Georgia for not enacting red flag laws.
No way bro just said trends at the beginning
Parents get your kids help gun is never the answer
180 bruv, guns is ALWAYS thee aswener
Its about damn time parents have ANY accountability
They might charge tomorrow
that guys tie is atrocious
Dont forget about all the minor crimes why just school shootings? Guardians charged in one setting makes no sense. Parents of gang members parents of drug dealers. Why not ALL parents?
I think all should apply. If the result is that a child takes the life of another child. The RESPONSIBILITY GOES TO THE FATHERS AND MOTHERS
What if they end up doing time in the same prison? That would be awkward. Hey, sorry dad... My bad.
The kid should have been schooled online, at home, once the first report was made.
If i got 180 years because of something my kid did, he'd better pray to God we don't end up in the and prison together, otherwise his sentence would be shortened expeditiously.
I understand that the parents need to raise their kids properly but my God, what is this, North Korea?!?
Dont give your school shooter son a gun then
Just teach hym bettee
the kid was making threats, the police came, the father bought the kid an assault rifle
Hearing the circumstances, it is the right decision. What responsible parent purchases an assault rifle for a kid. Let alone a child who was identified as at risk.
Stupid trend that will do nothing.
the dad bought his son an assault rifle after the police had to come to his house over previous threats
If the weapons are easily accessible to a minor, you become liable as well. Great accountable charges for bad parents.
Father should use racism in his defense since black parents never get charged for their kids killing people
Because black parents don't buy their kids pewpews, they find them on the street and in a gang
Since you know every black person that has ever been charged with a crime, you should know black parents aren't buying their kids assault rifles
@@Rockscissorspaper how do you know they didn't use their parents guns
Arrest those FBI agents as well
It's about time the parents are being held accountable
I don't understand why only two murder charges, four people died.
I'm a 39-year-old guy and its things like this that are just ONE more reason im never having kids. Society is fucked and it's never been a better time for me to be single and have everything paid off!
Tell that to JD Vance!
You know there is a scripture in Jeremiah that says not to have kids. You are probably doing the right thing.
I'm gonna have kids cuz I have a beautiful lady that wants to be a mother. I'll raise leaders instead of followers. Problem solved.
@Jason-dt7gr is that a Robert Redford movie?😂
@@StarfieldBattlefront I don't know about that. You strike me as the type who is confused and will do something just as stupid as this kid;s father did as a means of compensating.
Obviously the idea of calling this a trend is bullshit. This isn't a trend. This is warranted.
Can’t really call it a trend when it’s all been exactly the same shit for years and years.
Charge the FBI!!!!!!
If u buy a car for your child that is not of the legal age to drive and he goes out and commits vehicular manslaughter you will be charged.
If you go out and buy your child who is not of drinking age some booze and he goes out drunk driving and kills someone you will be charged. So it's common sense not to buy your minor booze or a car until they are of the proper age. Why are guns somehow different. The legal age to own a rifle is 18 so they should not be gifted a rifle until they are 18
the more people they put in the slammer, the more the system makes.
And bring in Illegal criminals and shut down prisons lol, this chaos is manipulation
I'm sorry but the parents r not responsible for what happen ,that boy is responsible for his on actions. He is 14 and should be held accountable for his self, not the parents.
Yip - guilty of being stupid but not murder as they have him charged.
And rightfully so, plus those that didn't follow up on past threats.
FBI failed as much as anyone .
Did the father really thing his child was going out to murder with the new gun? I don't think so.
The whole family looks troubled!
mugshots always look that way. How happy and excited do you think YOU would be watching everything you've worked toward in life crumble because of your idiotic son?
I couldn't disagree more with this trend. Where do you draw the line? Gang violence, drugs/ alcohol, traffic violations? When do non-parental figures become involved? Are police or teachers that fail to intervene effectively co-conspirators? We are coming up with more ways to incarcerate instead of actually prevent (in this case limit/ remove guns). Nothing in this case prevents another parent from having a gun in home. If it was legally purchased, we would rather have gun owners all imprisoned before we just remove the guns?
I do not agree with this trend. This is freaking ridiculous.
Yeah especially if the dads gonna take all the heat
lol who agrees with it?
@@CantBELV74the dad bought the gun!!!
I don’t like it but I can understand it…. Gotta have your shit locked up wit kids around
@zacharymcneely6039 look at the comments, apparently a bunch of idiots agree.
Buying someone a weapon who threatened the life of others!!!
He’s not the only adult who should be charged. What about the school administrators who let him attend school? This kid should have been expelled and a restraining order filed against him.
