This video has held up well, but the salary part needs to be updated. The vast majority of job applications are completed online. The Desired Salary section is programmed so that it must contain a number making it impossible to shelter under "Negotiable" or even to enter a range which I have always believed to be the most effective way to handle this question. My problem with this is that a person who entered a salary above what the employer wants to pay may be automatically delegated to the NO pile. THanks very much for the video, it is well done. It's informative without being condescending like so many of them are.
Great educational video. This the third video I used by Career and Life lessons to teacher career readiness skills. They are easy fro students to follow and thorough. Thanks again.
i filled out my application BEFORE watching the video...i wrote cashier on the "position for which you are applying" part but wrote "any" on "other positions for which you would consider" and i also wrote "any day" on "date available for work" i hope that doesn't make me seem desperate...
Note that using profanity, telling your potential employers to "fuck off" or outright put "fuck you" on your job application, resume, or cover letter will result in a range of negative responses from your potential employer ranging from having your application, resume and cover letter being thrown in the trash and the employer calling you back to say that we can't accept your application and you can reapply when you are mature enough to the employers barring you from future employment opportunities to criminal charges against the offender that put that in on their job application, resume, or cover letter. Your potential employers will not waste their time on anyone who uses profanity, tells their potential employers to "fuck off" or outright puts "fuck you" on their job application, resume or cover letter.
I have a job, so my comment is about a friend who I went with to help her get a job. I went with my friend to help her get a job. She always came back to my car and said, "They told me I could go online"... "I don't know how to do that". So, we sat in my car for a while and I said, "I have an idea" I back tracked all the places I took her. I went in each one and asked for a job application, they told me I could go online and apply. I asked, you don't have a job application anywhere in here ?? A paper job application? Every place I went in I asked the same question. My friend has a lot of paperwork to do. You can't let these people bully you around. That's what they did to her. I remember being just like that until I turned it around and made their comment work to my advantage. Not everyone is a computer know hower
I disagree with writing negotiable for a salary. You might as well write in I don't have a clue. I tis important to know what your job skills are worth in your job market.
The information presented here is very good. The design of this online training is horrible. It's trite, the audio is poorly recorded and the use of music is distracting (too loud and switches styles and moods too quickly). Truly awful online training.
Putting in job applications is basically begging for handouts. If you want a job, get it yourself and stop begging for handouts. Seeing a dude waste his life away putting in hundreds of applications at his computer is an ugly site. While you waste your life away putting in applications, you could be using that valuable time to become your own boss. But nah... you'd rather have a boss instead of being your own man. That's pitiful
If everyone listened to this guy, there would be nothing but bosses and no employees. Very hypocritical of you to tell someone to stop wasting their life when you're wasting yours with this useless comment. Just be better 😂

I love the animation skills. Do you offer some kind of training or coaching?

Don't wrinkle it, use blue or black ink--I think this may be a little out of date.
