Nonsense. Baking soda, as used here, is just a filler. It’s a weak base. Doesn’t have any whitening or stain removal properties. Just soak items in hot water with a sodium percarbonate-containing oxygen bleach, then wash with laundry detergent.

It’s been marketed for decades as a wonder natural product with all sorts of clever household uses. I’ve given up trying to decipher what consumers think about it.

Ghe baking soda forms a natural substance called as sodium bicarbonate it's just a simple chemistry and ultimately it even balances the ph level and so if baking soda makes detergent more even strong and helps to remove stains and odours!

The reason they use baking soda is that you will have to use less detergent powder.. as baking soda cleans the clothes well
