He probably filmed this on an actual camera considering the 4:3 aspect ratio. Also this video was posted a LONG time ago before everything was recorded on phones.
Yea good fun, remindes me of all the extreme mud hole riding we did years ago in Tenn. Everyone standing around watching as one rider goes through a big muddy pit.
wet holes indicates that it just rained, as it flashes off fast in Moab. And yes traction is incredible on that rock. "Slick Rock", a few hundred yards away is not slick. Incredible traction. They mean slick flat for miles. Other than a few foul words the day was PG rated. No booze or littering or other.
Wow, that really is distorted. That said, it's pretty scary looking in real life as well. This was one of the few obstacles I didn't try when I was in Moab back in ~2005 on the JP Vegas to Sturgis Mayhem Tour. The cool thing was that I got to talk to Mickey himself (the obstacle is called Mickey's Hot Tub)... he was driving a new Rubicon himself and told me there's no way he would take *his* new Rubicon through that.
A lot of people from other countries visit Moab to drive and explore it. And a lot of people drive off-road recreationally in other countries. Canadians, Australians, Middle Easterners, and Europeans especially.
OU812, Wearing a seatbelt, and a helmet, when there is any risk of drowning is RETARDED. Y’all don’t know what the fuck you’re all talking about, just like this dumbass behind the camera who gets literally shocked, by each and every thing the driver accomplished.. “No knowledge, No experience, No Achievements” Y’all are fucking stupid....
Really? Thats one of the best parts of Moab. There is designated trails, they dont just tare everything up, and destroy everything... U ever even been there? Ive from Utah, so ya...
The rock they are on has a very high coefficient of friction, i.e. lots of grip... Yes lots of rubber laid down over the years which in the dry will have very good grip, likely well over 1.1x coefficient of friction. The fact that he was able to climb out with wet and oily tires without waiting for them to dry off indicates just how much grip there is. On wet road courses generally the preferred line is off the dry line because the grip can be much better because the imbedded rubber on the dry line makes it slipperier in the wet. Depending on the surface, a wet road can have a 30% reduced grip in the wet from a dry surface.
Um.. .are you high? Is you car safer on wet roads? FTR boys and girls the water from overnight rain is mixed with years of oil, tranny fluids, etc. from years of carnage. Look at a satellite view and see tire tracks in the direction of that trail. It's a one way trail.
Why is it that when people have all the comforts of life , they try do something dangerous which may hurt them and probably kill them. The spirit of adventure is so high that it makes us pit our wits against the impossible...
Fact is the stock cages are pretty good even at somewhat high speed. Depends on what you are doing. Falling over backwards is safe on those. If you want a roll cage test see my RZR rolling down a hill video. My fuel cell spills out.
Why not get lowered into the "hot tub" with a winch so you eliminate the chance of flipping. Guess that's what smart people would do. Wait smart people wouldn't even go into that hole. Lol.
The driver sux? I'd like 2 see every one of y'all that said that to try that in the same vehicle. Thumbs up and props to the driver AND the camera man for posting!
+Chad Bremer I don't know, I was extremely impressed that he was able to turn that thing around at the bottom, and once he started going, he climbed right out. It was rather impressive, just about 4 minutes too long.
I would never have believed it until I see it... specially since it was really a hot wet tub at that time.... it is just too slippery, well those things are very light so maybe not so impossible?
Not really. That is not a Side X Side. It's a utility thing with a bed for hay/ logs/ tools. As I recall they owed a trucking company and grandpa had bought a pait for the business yard. ($25k) and grandson the driver decided to take one. My small business does OK but I can't play big boy like that.
i cant belive a ran up and down the same spot that this video got 9 million views lol and this jeepsafari is going well, it is really fun all you peopl out there come to moab and try it out!
I'd like to know the specifics of that bowl. I'm sure it's nothing in real life like it looks on the camera. Can't be as steep angles as it looked, it would not be possible to crawl up more than about 70 degrees, a few more or less.
Moab has many trails. Most trails usually have a parking lot. Most of us has to tow a trailer with our non-road legal toys to the parking lot, off load then ride. Then kinda follow one another. Each trail is loosely designed to be one way , markings painted on stone. On Easter Jeep Week it could take all day to go a few miles. On a low traffic day by yourself it could take 2 hours. The ave speed is a mere 10mph. There is no desire to go fast really. The Colorado Plateau has that effect. FWIW few SXS/Jeep/other will attempt those 3 hot tubs. You watch others knowing what is likely to happen. Each hot tub has claimed mega $ in damages. His chances of successfully making it out the other way was zero. His chases with 2 winches would be 95%. A Jeep with good operator, no help is, 20% in my opinion.
@@itsruf1 we live in S. Idaho and we have had our 2021 KTM’s 250XCW and 300XCW for a short time and trailer them as well. Have seen videos of tons of bike trails as well. Are there parking lots at the beginnings of each trail or a parking lot with trails branching out all directions? We want to hit Moab as soon as we can. Comes down to our last pet and separation anxiety...so we bought a 2021 Yamaha Grizzly 700 in order to take our dachshund on trips as well. Are the trails (minus all of the hot tubs) fairly ATV friendly? Thanks 😀
@@TAllyn-qr3io Virtually all are family friendly. I'm usually in an Escalade truck. I pull a matching dual axle open trailer with RZR. I park/sleep over night along the river, RT 128 at the Govt Bureau of land open to all campground. ok so in the vid it looked straight down looked scary looks like a great place to play

You are in a place with limited water sources for wildlife. Be respectful and stay clear of these places.
The wildlife in those areas don't depend on groundwater stupid
